”M-manager?” The woman with long flowing hair had a slight change in expression, then immediately played the victim, pointing at Chen Fei and the other and said, ”Manager, you’re here just in time, these two are causing trouble here. Quickly get Brother Xu to kick them out.”

”Causing trouble?” The suited manager’s face immediately darkened, looking at Chen Fei, he said, ”Sir, can you tell me what’s going on?”

”What? You want to interrogate me too?” Chen Fei’s expression turned somewhat cold as he spoke.

”Hmm?” The manager’s eyes instantly narrowed upon hearing this, not expecting that even with his status, as the lobby manager of a six-star hotel, the other party was still so unyielding! To be honest, this made him somewhat uncomfortable.

But a decent professional attitude and caution led him to remain silent for a moment before barely managing to force a smile and say, ”Sir, you misunderstood. I just want to understand what happened so I can address it. Don’t you think that’s fair?”

”We came to check in just now, and she said the hotel was full, no rooms. But then this gentleman behind us comes to check in, and suddenly there’s a VIP room available. Tell me, is this our fault?”

Chen Fei pointed at the front desk, and then at the man who came in after, speaking coldly.

The man who was pointed out was initially angry, but after seeing the stunning woman next to Chen Fei and his assertive attitude, he thought twice and chose to remain silent. He didn’t say a word.

He wasn’t foolish; in this day and age, how could someone without some clout be with such a stunning woman? You’re joking...

”Is that true?” The manager’s expression immediately changed upon hearing this. He looked sternly at the receptionist and asked, ”Xu Qian, what’s all this about? Is what this guest is saying true!?”

”I, I...” The receptionist finally panicked, her face turning pale as she stammered, ”Manager, look at how he’s dressed, in tatters, how could he afford to stay in our hotel’s VIP suite for a night at 5,888 yuan? I was doing it for his own good; I told him anyway, and he couldn’t afford it...”

”Shut up!” The manager interrupted her with a face full of anger, turning to Chen Fei with an embarrassed look, ”I’m sorry, this is our oversight. Rest assured, I will...”

”Are you saying I can’t afford this so-called VIP suite?” Chen Fei interrupted the manager, looking at the spiteful and disdainful receptionist, speaking calmly.

”Then what? Am I wrong? Look at you, even if you sold everything you’re wearing, you couldn’t even afford an hour here in our hotel. What a joke. Manager, just kick him out already, otherwise once my cousin finds out, ha...”

The woman sneered sarcastically.

Hearing her words made the manager’s expression change slightly.

”Who’s her cousin?” Chen Fei asked with a sidelong glance.

”Her, her cousin...” The manager hesitated, sweating slightly.

This Xu Qian had no real cousin; even if she did, it’d be in a shady way, with unclear relations.

And the cousin she was talking about was one of the high-ups at their hotel, over fifty, still calling him cousin, how disgusting... But even so, he didn’t dare offend her.

Thinking of this, he could only shake his head helplessly, looking at Chen Fei, whispering, ”Sir, well, how about this? I’ll privately compensate you with 2,000 yuan. Sorry, it’s nothing else, it’s just that woman, with someone backing her, I have no choice...”

”Backed by someone?” Chen Fei chuckled, shaking his head, and with a pinch of his fingers, a golden card appeared in his hand.

”Do you know this card?” Chen Fei waved the golden card in front of him, speaking calmly.

”What’s this?” The manager’s pupils shrank instantly, and then, his gaze, almost terrified, fixed on that card, his expression trembling as he said shakily, ”Respected sir, can, can I take a closer look?”

”Mm.” Chen Fei handed the golden card over to him.

The manager only glanced at it slightly, and his fingers, his expression, his entire body... all began to tremble uncontrollably. Because how could he not recognize it, this was the top-tier VIP card of the Vast Sea Group, said to be personally issued by Director Gao himself.

In the Vast Sea Group, this card was tantamount to Director Gao himself! And now, such a distinguished guest had been disregarded by their hotel, looked down upon like this!?

At this realization, the manager shivered entirely, raising his hand to deliver a heavy slap on Xu Qian’s face, shouting, ”Get lost! You wretched woman, who do you think you are, showing off as a receptionist and looking down on people? Get lost! You’re fired by our hotel now, get out!”

”Manager, I, I, you...” The woman was stunned, covering her face. Clearly, she never expected this manager would dare to fire her? She had backing.

The man was also stunned, then felt a sense of relief, thankfully... Damn, who is this guy, that he’s so formidable? And what’s with that golden card? Never heard of California Garden Grand Hotel having a golden VIP card.

Evidently, from the drastic change in the manager’s attitude before and after, he realized what had happened.

This guy, not simple at all.

At this moment, the woman finally came around, covering her face with a look of humiliation, shouting, ”Wang Feng, do you know what you’re doing? You’re firing me? My cousin is Lord Xuin, what right do you have to fire me?”

”Lord Xuin?” The manager sneered. Lord Xuin? This was the holder of the most premium VIP card in the Vast Sea Group. Even if it’s Lord Xuin, so what!?

Thinking of this, he directly shouted at the security captain who was watching the drama on the side: ”Captain Xu, throw this woman out, and inform the HR department to fire her directly. I’ll take full responsibility for any issues.”

The named security captain was stunned for a while, but eventually stepped forward, lifting the woman who finally started to panic and leading her outside: ”Little Xu, I’m sorry. You heard it, this is the manager’s strict order and has nothing to do with me.”

”I, I, let go of me…”

The woman was evidently petrified by this scene, trembling all over, her delicate body shaking.

”Wang Feng! Manager Wang, let’s talk this over, don’t fire me, please…” At this moment, she couldn’t help begging for mercy. What would she do if she lost such a good job?

However, Manager Wang Feng didn’t respond to her.

He allowed her to be taken away.

Seeing this, the man who arrived later couldn’t help but change his expression slightly, shaking his head, and quietly turned to leave.

Right now, even if you offer him a VIP suite to stay in, he probably won’t be at ease.

So, let’s forget it.

”Honored guest, I will immediately arrange the check-in procedures for you.” Manager Wang Feng respectfully approached Chen Fei, handing over the gold card with both hands, and said.

”Is someone staying in the presidential suite on the top floor?” Chen Fei nodded and asked.

The room was originally his exclusive space. He stayed there for several months and got used to it. Now he wondered if anyone was occupying it.

”The presidential suite on the top floor?” Upon hearing this, the manager’s face changed drastically again, hesitated for a moment, and then said: ”Honored guest, the room on the top floor was instructed by Director Gao to keep reserved and not available for external use, so, so…”

”Reserved? Reserved for what?” Chen Fei asked in confusion.

”Well, it seems that Director Gao prepared the presidential suite exclusively for a particular guest, who is also a holder of our Vast Sea Group’s top VIP card. Only by possessing that card can one stay there... I’m not very clear on the specifics. Perhaps you could call Director Gao to inquire?” The manager said.

This rule was actually implemented a long time ago, approximately over three years ago?

So, the presidential suite on the top floor has been vacant for years, but he still dared not let Chen Fei stay because Director Gao had repeatedly instructed! He didn’t dare to cross this line.

”Is that so?” Chen Fei was stunned, then smiled and took out the gold card again, asking: ”Can you check if this is the card?”

The manager suddenly froze, then his face showed surprise and reverence, as he took Chen Fei’s gold card, went to the computer, and checked the number on the card…

Immediately, he looked up at Chen Fei with an expression of astonishment and awe, and said: ”Guest, may I ask your surname again?”

”Chen,” Chen Fei stated.

”That’s right, it’s Chen.” The manager muttered dazedly, then his eyes showed a deep respect, saying: ”Please, follow me, let me take you to the presidential suite on the top floor.”

Meanwhile, he was shocked internally, wondering how influential one must be for Director Gao to reserve the suite for years for such a person!?

Meanwhile, the long-haired woman Xu Qian, who was thrown out of the California Garden Grand Hotel by security, was now in a dire state, miserably crying and complaining over the phone to her ’dry cousin.’

”What? Wang Feng had the audacity to fire you? Qian Qian, my darling, just wait, Cousin will stand up for you now.”

On the phone, a fat man with a swollen belly was infuriated, hung up, and immediately called Manager Wang Feng angrily to hold him accountable.

”Wang Feng, you’re bold, aren’t you? Do you think that becoming the manager of some lobby makes you amazing? Don’t you know what my relationship with Xu Qian is? You dare to fire her!? Are you disregarding me?”

At this moment, Manager Wang Feng had just come downstairs from the hotel’s top floor. As soon as he received the call, he couldn’t help but laugh.

”Brother Xuin, you really wronged me. Do you know, today, I, Wang Feng, saved your life.” Wang Feng said seriously.

”Wang Feng, you bastard… saved my life? What do you mean?” On the other end of the line, the fat man cursed, then suddenly shivered and his expression changed slightly.

That little wench must have gotten herself into some serious trouble, right!?
