MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1623: Breaking Barriers: Fleeting Arcane Scripture

Ding!

[The system has finished analyzing the recorded movements.]

[Determining the personal skill’s final rarity...]

[The system has judged that the skill you created is an Epic-grade skill.]

’Epic...?’

Although Ataraxia had already been exposed to skills higher than Epic for a long time, the young man was still caught off guard when he found out that the movement skill he created was powerful enough for the system to classify it at that rarity.

Naturally, now that he had obtained confirmation from the system regarding the skill’s quality, the young man went ahead and shared the final rarity of the skill with Aeramis, who merely looked back at him with a knowing smile on his face.

”Considering the fact that the movement skill you made not only relies solely on pure energy, but is also powered by two Intent Seeds, it’s not much of a surprise that the system would categorize your skill to be of that level,” said the man, letting out a chuckle.

”In fact, you could even say that the system is underestimating the true abilities of your skill... though for a good reason.”

As those words left his mouth, Aeramis took it as an opportunity to tell the young man more about the skill creation process. ”More often than not, the system would classify your personal skill to be at least one grade or one intermediary grade below what it actually is.”

”This is due to the fact that personal skills are upgradeable at any time, which I’ve already mentioned to you a while ago.”

”With that being said, although the system classifies your movement skill to be Epic-grade, it would be more apt to consider the skill to be either Epic+ grade or Legendary grade.”

”I’ll keep that in mind,” replied Ataraxia, his expression showing the excitement he felt towards a new realm of possibilities being opened in front of him.

After letting the excitement of finding out his personal skill’s rarity die down for a bit, he then went ahead and continued looking through the notifications he received, with one of them causing him to briefly fall into pensive thought.

[Please give your skill a name and a category.]

’A name and a category, huh?’ thought the young man to himself after seeing that, the gears in his mind slowly turning. ’Haven’t really thought about the first one.’

Ding!

[Would you like to give the name ’Haven’t Really Thought About the First One’ to the skill?]

’No,’ Ataraxia immediately declined, falling silent for a bit as he glanced at Aeramis every once in a while.

Eventually, after a couple of minutes of silence, the young man came up with what he felt was the most fitting name for the skill.

’Since the skill was made in the inheritance of the Fleet-footed Monarch, and the skill solely runs through my energy, then I guess it would only be right for me to call it the Fleeting Arcane Scripture.’

Ding!

[Would you like to give the name ’Fleeting Arcane Scripture’ to the skill?]

Seeing that the system had recorded his thoughts properly this time, the young man showed no hesitation in confirming the prompt, only to then confirm with the system that the skill he created was a movement skill.

Whoosh!

Hearing a series of random sounds briefly echo in his mind after that, Ataraxia eventually heard the system’s chime once more, sending him confirmation regarding the skill’s final appearance.

Ding!

[You have successfully created the active skill ’Fleeting Arcane Scripture’.]

[Would you like to view the skill’s description?]

Briefly skimming through the notifications he received, the young man soon confirmed the prompt the system brought up, causing the latter to bring up a screen in front of him not long after.

[Fleeting Arcane Scripture (Personal Skill)] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: Epic+

A personal movement skill created by the Emissary of the Arcane, it utilizes the ingenious combination of Lesser Arcana, two Intent Seeds, and masterful control over energy to propel one’s body in any direction over great distances.

Though it could already be considered as a powerful movement skill by many, considering the Emissary’s lack of experience prior to the creation of this skill, many aspects of the skill could still be improved, giving both its creator and user the flexibility to let the skill reach greater heights.

This movement skill is composed of eight magic circles, with each circle corresponding to a certain movement.

Cost: 5,000 MP

Cooldown: 0.5 seconds

————

”Holy shit.”

Although the description of his personal skill wasn’t all that long, the young man was still left at a slight loss for words after seeing how the cost and the cooldown of the skill had greatly changed after being recognized by the system.

From what he could sense while using the skill during the trial, there would be a two to three-second delay between each activation, with each one costing up to 10,000 MP to both power the circuit and conjure the corresponding magic circle.

Yet, after being recognized by the skill, those aspects of the skill had been greatly improved, with the cost being cut down by half, while the cooldown being cut down to around a quarter of what it originally was.

Briefly giving Aeramis a look of excitement, the young man went ahead and activated his skill through the system.

Whoosh!

Appearing over 300 meters away from where he initially stood, Ataraxia looked around his surroundings for a bit before using the skill once more to return to his previous point.

Swoosh!

’The fact that the range of a single activation has increased by 50% just by having the system recognize it is insane,’ muttered the young man to himself inwardly after getting over the shock he felt from the skill’s improvements.

”How is it?” Naturally, Aeramis already know what was going on in Ataraxia’s head, the latter’s expression making it more than obvious to him. ”It’s a massive difference, right?”

The young man could only nod in agreement.

Nodding in return, the man decided to give him one last piece of advice regarding the skill creation. ”Although this might be a piece of useless information to someone else, considering the fact that you’ve entered my inheritance with other people, it’s safe to assume that you’re their leader, right?”

Ataraxia nodded once more at this question.

”Since that’s the case, focus on breaking the skill’s intricacies down to the lowest level,” said Aeramis. ”Once you’re able to create a Common-grade version of the skill you just registered, a new world of opportunities becomes open to you.”

”I mean it.”

”...”

”Anyways, with that out of the way, let us officially proceed with the fourth trial.”
