MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1612: Breaking Barriers: The Third Trial (7)

Whoosh!

Making sure that the strands of braided energy and concept was as tight as it could possibly be, Ataraxia soon infused his thoughts into them, willing them to go through the various nodes that made up the energy circuit in his mind.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

One by one, he watched as the power contained within the strands grow stronger, causing him to clench his fists once more as they crossed through more and more circuit nodes.

By the time they reached the halfway point of the circuit, he went ahead and activated [Sight of Arcane Origin] once more, curious as to whether the braiding he did was enough for the two elements to withstand the power of the final node.

Fortunately, it was looking to be the case, seeing as the strands of braided energy and concept continued to accept more and more power from the nodes they passed through as their auras increased in intensity.

In fact, the young man noticed that the auras emanating from the braided strands were actually stronger than the auras emanated by the same elements back when they were separated.

With that, Ataraxia grew more hopeful of success, especially after seeing that the braided strands could handle much greater power than before.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Having refined the pathway of the circuit to maximize efficiency and power, the young man willed the strands to move through a few nodes, eventually having them arrive at the second-to-last node that made up the circuit.

Fwoosh!

Sensing the powerful energy coursing through the braided strands the moment they made contact with the penultimate node, Ataraxia could not help but take in a deep breath at that moment to compose himself.

After all, whatever happened next determined whether or not his first attempt at the third trial was a False Intent-tier skill.

’Go!’ After spending enough time to sort out his thoughts, the young man finally went ahead and had the braided strands head towards the final node, immediately bursting into delight the moment he saw the strands move towards the node without any problem.

Whoosh!

Then, just after those strands passed through the final node, the young man’s eyes widened in surprise and excitement, sensing that the power contained within the strands were at least 50% stronger than before.

’To think all I needed to do was to braid those two things together.’ Seeing that the braided strands had carried all of the power contained within the nodes to the very end, a satisfied smile appeared on Ataraxia’s face as he admonished himself for his earlier thoughts.

Nevertheless, now that he knew what to do to further improve the personal skills he made, it went without saying that the young man refined the energy circuit he made even further, trying his best to maximize both efficiency and power output as much as possible.

At the same time, he tried checking if there were other ways to approach containing the power obtained from the nodes, wondering if it was possible to further boost the limits of what the energy and concept he infused could possible.

Though this frame of thought only yielded mild successes at first, as well as a few catastrophic failures here and there, the amount of experience he accumulated with every trial gradually came together, eventually allowing him to create an energy circuit that reached the limits of his current abilities

...

Whoosh!

’Now that the energy circuit is finalized, time to finally move on with the accompanying movements.’

Returning his senses back to the outside world, a faint smile adorned Ataraxia’s face as he briefly took a look at his surroundings.

Seeing Aeramis leaning on a nearby tree resting, the young man decided not to disturb the man for the meantime, thinking that he had spent far more time than he would like to inside the recesses of his mind.

Making sure that he was far enough from the man that his movements wouldn’t wake up the former, it was only then did Ataraxia start coming up with movements that complemented with the energy circuit.

Of course, considering that he had only done this step of the process once under Aeramis’ guidance, it took a while for the young man to figure out a movement that somewhat fit the energy circuit he had come up with.

After all, the movement skill he made with the man’s help had not even reached Nascent tier. On the other hand, he was basically trying to come up with movements that would accompany a False Intent-tier skill for the first time.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Fortunately, after figuring out the first movement that would complement his energy circuit, things gradually became smoother for the young man, eventually finding one that was extremely compatible with the circuit he made.

Swoosh!

Utilizing both movement and circuit together, the young man surprisingly whizzed through a decent portion of the transformed terrain, the sounds of which ended up waking Aeramis up from his slumber.

”Haah...” Letting out a faint yawn after getting what felt like a good nap, the man looked around his surroundings for a bit, only to then notice Ataraxia testing out the skill he made out in the terrain.

”Is your skill complete yet?” Spending a bit more time to make sure he was fully awake, the man eventually asked the young man a question, his voice echoing throughout the area.

”Not yet,” replied Ataraxia with a shake of his head, continuing to test out more movements that complemented the circuit he made. ”I’m still figuring out the movements for the skill.”

”How long have you been figuring it out?” asked Aeramis in return, standing up before making his way to where the young man was.

”Around 15 minutes or so,” answered the young man, his expression lighting up after finding another suitable movement for the skill. ”Been working on the circuit before then.”

”Is that so?” Aeramis faintly nodded in understanding.

After all, although movements were necessary for the skill to take effect, the circuit was the component that dictated the skill’s overall power.

”What kind of circuit are you using for your first attempt?” the man asked after that, sensing the energy coursing throughout Ataraxia’s body. ”With how much time you’ve spent working on it, I suppose you reached the Nascent tier, no?”

”Already broke past it,” said the young man in return, grinning as he decided to show Aeramis the fruits of his labor.

”It took a while... but I’ve successfully made a False Intent-tier circuit.”

”See it for yourself.”

Whoosh!
