MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1087: The First Spark

Whoosh!

Returning his senses back to reality, Valyr had a content smile on his face as he thought about the progress heʼd made in comprehending his Intent Seed of Mystic Energy.

Though it wasnʼt all that impressive when he compared it to the other Intents heʼd obtained so far, the young man was still proud of what heʼd achieved, considering that the only help he got in comprehending it was the small push Mystia gave him.

Because of that, Valyr was slightly caught off guard when he eventually found out that she was still with him even after he was finished working on his Intent Seed.

Inwardly taking a deep breath to compose himself, Valyr faintly wondered as to how much time had passed since he started working on the Intent Seed.

ʼI probably only took a few hours at most to get the Intent Seed to the Second Stage,ʼ thought Valyr to himself, feeling like it would more or less explain the current situation he was in.

However, as he brought up his status screen in his mind to take a look at the timer, he found out that he had not only more than just a few hours comprehending the Intent Seed of Mystic Energy...

But instead, he had spent the better part of a day doing so.

Coming to the realization that it was now night time outside the vacant hall they were occupying, a look of guilt briefly appeared on Valyrʼs face as he felt that heʼd taken up most of Mystiaʼs time.

After all, even though he did ask for her help in the War Forge Assembly that happened earlier, she was still the Imperial Alchemist of the Meltierre Heavenly Court, not to mention an imperial adviser of the empire.

Just those two titles alone were more than enough for him to realize how busy she was. Yet, as if not even half an hour passed since heʼd begun comprehending his Intent Seed, Mystia looked at him with a faint smile before asking, ”I presume youʼve succeeded?”

”Yeah.” Valyr nodded after a short while. ”Got it up to the Second Stage, surprisingly. Thank you.”

”No problem,” replied Mystia back, the smile on her face becoming wider. ”I had a feeling youʼd be able to push your Intent Seed beyond the Nascent Stage from the aura you were emanating.”

”Though I didnʼt think you accumulated enough insights to be a couple steps away from transforming it into an actual Intent,” she continued, letting out a chuckle. ”For reference, I took a few years to get mine to the Second Stage.”

Although his curiosity was piqued when he heard those words leave Mystiaʼs mouth, Valyr still felt like he needed to apologize for taking up her time. ”Sorry.”

”What for?” Not expecting to receive an apology all of a sudden, it took a while for Mystia to respond back to him.

Though, after hearing from Valyr how heʼd taken up her time by having her accompany him in what he termed as a ʼsimple matterʼ, it did not take long for Mystia to understand what was going on.

With that, she explained that although she was busy with her various tasks on most days, she allocated more than enough time to help Valyr with his Intent, even though it was just something he mentioned in passing.

”The least I could do as your Master is to be there when you need it,” Mystia told Valyr, making the latter smile in response as he thanked her soon after.

”So... now that youʼve got an Intent Seed of Mystic Energy, are you finally gonna try fully fusing them together?”

Hearing the question that left Mystiaʼs mouth, Valyr pondered over the question for a bit before responding, ”Probably... though itʼs also possible that Iʼll postpone it to sometime in the future.”

”After all, I still need to push Mystic Energy to the stage of 3rd Cleansing before I match the requirements to create Azure Energy.”

At those words, Mystia nodded in response, recalling the long explanation Valyr gave her earlier in regards to his small experiment.

However, rather than not pursue the matter any further, she instead urged the young man to try fully fusing the two energies together at least once.

”Why not try it out at least once to get a feel for it?” asked Mystia, somewhat playing the role of devilʼs advocate. ”Though I know youʼre following the formula that worked for Azure Energy, itʼs not like you have to match everything for it to work.”

”Youʼre working with a different combination of energies, after all.”

Just as Valyr was about to respond to her words, the young man paused, only to then realize that she was correct.

If he wanted to err on the side of caution and make sure that the fusion was a success, then it was better if he followed the formula that allowed him to form Azure Energy for the first time.

However, as Mystia told him, he was working with a different combination of energies. Was there really a need for him to push his Mystic Energy to 3rd Cleansing? What if he already had all the ingredients needed to turn mana and Mystic Energy into something greater?

With that in mind, Valyr eventually decided to try fusing the two together at least once, not setting any expectations as he delved his senses deep into the depths of his psyche. Arriving yet again in the familiar void within his body, the young man took a bit of time to compose himself before allowing both mana and Mystic Energy to fill the boundless void before him.

Whoosh!

Watching the void be colored in both blue and white, Valyr went ahead and made a braid using the two energies first, making sure that he still had a grasp of the basics.

Feeling like his grasp over braiding the two energies was as solid as it could be, the young man then went ahead and added the energy from the Intent of True Mana into the void, immediately feeling the mana rumble in response.

Smiling as he felt himself get closer to his eventual goal, he then added the energy from his newly obtained Intent Seed into the void, causing the Mystic Energy to rumble in return.

Watching the two energies rumble as if he were looking inside a boiling pot of water, the young man did not delay any further, deciding to get to work.

Whoosh!

Braiding mana and Mystic Energy into an intertwined strand, Valyr went ahead and infused the energy of the two Intents into it before compacting it in a way that reminded him of what heʼd done with Azure Energy.

Then, watching the entanglement slowly become less and less visible to the naked eye, the young man felt a bit of trepidation as he watched the two colors slowly become one.

And then... it happened.
