Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 607: 607: What’s the deal with the serum?

The professors are no fools; they naturally understood the meaning in Gu Tong’s words.

After listening to Gu Tong’s brief introduction, an unusual light gleamed in their eyes. They, of course, understood the correctness of Gu Tong’s treatment plan.

Indeed, using the blood of recovered patients to extract immunoprotein is the most feasible solution!

However, it was a method they had long failed to consider...

How clever must one be to come up with such an idea...

”So, what about the serum...”

Sheng Guoli couldn’t hold back any longer and curiously asked a question.

He knew a bit about the serum!

Because the creation of serum has been around for a long time...

However, serum has not been truly applied in clinical settings...

The method for antitoxin serum involves injecting small amounts of pathogenic microorganisms, like snake venom or bacteria-produced toxins, repeatedly into the blood vessels of animals like rabbits or horses.

Gradually increasing the injection dose daily, after a certain time, antibodies are produced in the animal’s body. Once testing shows they’ve reached an adequate titer, blood can be drawn.

After blood separation and purification, it becomes antitoxin serum, such as snake, diphtheria, tetanus, rabies antitoxin serum, used to treat corresponding toxin reactions.

”Antitoxin serum contains antibodies in the serum that can resist specific bacteria or viruses. ’Serum therapy’ applies immunological principles by administering specific antibody antitoxin serum before the patient has produced specific antibodies.”

”On one hand, the specific antitoxin serum introduced can directly combat specific bacteria or viruses. On the other hand, the human body can quickly produce more specific antibodies based on the structure of the introduced specific antibodies, rapidly eliminating bacteria or viruses.”

Gu Tong briefly explained her therapeutic concept and method.

Because, in her memory, serum therapy was once a method used to treat SARS!

However, it was controversial at the time and had many issues.

Therefore, it could only be promoted on a small scale.

But now it is an urgent time, and they still have time to resolve the issues!

Gu Tong just wants to use this method to solve the illness!

”Is it too dangerous to use serum recklessly on patients...”

Sheng Guoli questioned again because, for them, patient safety is the most important.

Everything else is considered auxiliary! Therefore, he was more concerned about whether applying it clinically might cause unintended incidents.

”This is also an issue I have considered.”

Gu Tong certainly wouldn’t experiment recklessly on patients but would instead promote it progressively within the most effective range.

”We draw the patient’s blood, and with serum research and testing progressing in parallel, we will surely find the most fitting therapeutic ratio!”

Everything is structured to serve the patients.

Gu Tong knows this well, which is why she has divided the lab into two teams, one responsible for developing therapeutic drugs while also initiating serum research and testing!

”So that’s how it is...”

What is meant by selflessness is exactly how Gu Tong is, not hiding anything but directly sharing the latest research findings.

And looking at her, there’s a sense of inviting experts to join in...

In fact, these experts have long been reluctant to leave the lab, just waiting for Gu Tong to say this.

After all, she is indeed short-handed now and really needs help. If they could voluntarily join in, it couldn’t be better!

Precisely for this reason, Gu Tong volunteered to state her research policy, indirectly inviting them to participate and collaborate in research!

There is strength in numbers, and that’s exactly what this is about.
