African Entrepreneurship Record

This difference in appearance has always been difficult for the European German Country to accept. After all, besides the European German Country and East Africa, the Southern German Kingdom in Africa also considers itself German.

...

The East African Government has no leisure to explore the inner calculations of German and Austrian diplomats. The bait already directly released by the United Kingdom and France has stirred ripples within the East African Government.

Logans: ”The United Kingdom and France are now in a predicament, and they have reached the point where they must exchange benefits to gain support.”

”This fully illustrates the pessimistic attitude of the United Kingdom and France toward the direction of the war. Under this pessimism, even territories have become bargaining chips.”

”France has already revealed to us that they might hand over several islands in the Indian Ocean and colonial posts in India to our nation and after a victory in the war, they are willing to give Madagascar to East Africa.”

”As for the United Kingdom side, their diplomats hinted that if we support the Allies, they could also hand over a portion of overseas colonies to East Africa after the war.”

Sivert: ”Compared to the French, it is obvious the British have no sincerity whatsoever, they are simply offering empty promises. Certainly, these commitments will not be fulfilled after the war.”

”If we join the Allies, the gains are completely different. We would harvest the entire Indian Ocean, including colonial legacies from England, France, and Germany in other regions.”

”Therefore, I believe East Africa joining the Allied camp can yield greater benefits, which the Allies cannot provide us.”

Logans countered: ”Although joining the Allies is tempting, we have to bear considerable risks, especially before the United States has made a move.”

”Until the United States gives its final decision, I do not advise the government to lean towards either side. If the Americans do not participate in the war, we will fall into a passive situation.”

”The United States can completely reinforce the Allies, thereby dragging us into the quagmire of war.”

”Moreover, even removing the United States factor, it is very difficult for us to successfully breach the Suez Canal, Gibraltar Strait, and head north to support the Allies.”

”The Allies have a significant advantage now, but both the United States and Russia have influences over the war no less than ours in East Africa.”

Currently, there are three strategies within the East African Government: first is joining the Allied camp to ultimately establish a German Three Kingdoms divided world.

Secondly, joining the Allies camp, but at this stage, with the Allies being advantageous, this choice can largely be ignored.

Lastly, the Neutral faction, with Logans being one of its representative figures, he does not support the Empire joining either of the two camps.

Whereas Sivert is one of the representatives of the Hawk faction. According to his idea, with the Allies being highly advantageous, East Africa joining them would have the capability to monopolize the Indian Ocean cake. Just India alone would be enough for East Africa to feast upon, and few can resist such temptation.

Logans said: ”If we join the war, we must ensure we can quickly defeat the British and French in the Indian Ocean and help the Allies maintain dominance on the European battlefield.”

”The first point is not difficult, but how to face the counterattack of the British and French Navy is a big issue. Together, the naval strength of England and France is nearly four times that of ours, and if the United States intervenes, their total naval tonnage could exceed five million tons.”

”Moreover, if the United States joins the Allies, the situation on the European battlefield will undergo significant changes. With deep national strength, the U.S. can completely supply the Allies with all resources needed for combat.”

”For the Allies without our material support, the situation is certainly not optimistic. It’s hard to say whether they can hold until the Empire opens up the Suez Canal.”

”In recent years, the British have made many preparations in their colonies in the Indian Ocean, particularly crucial nodes like the Suez Canal and Malacca Strait. Even during the tensest times of the European war, not only have they not reduced forces in these areas, but there is a trend of strengthening, evidently guarding against East Africa.”

From start to end, the Suez Canal has always been one of the keys to the development of European wars. Without this narrow waterway, East Africa would find it difficult to support the Allies even if desired, the transport capability of the Baghdad Railway is indeed limited.

The British obviously do not undervalue the importance of the Suez Canal, apart from heavy defenses, they have probably prepared to destroy the Suez Canal at any time.

As long as the Suez Canal is not navigable, the situation on the European battlefield will not be clear for the Allies.

The real breakthrough in the Suez Canal is followed by the Allied Navy occupying absolute superiority in the Mediterranean Sea, currently, the strongest naval powers in the Mediterranean are the United Kingdom and France.

At this point, Ernst said: ”Whether we participate in the war depends on the direction of the European battlefield, although East Africa naturally aligns with the Allies.”

”But everything must prioritize national interest, and the United States is the pivot of war. Before the U.S. has clearly entered the war, we must not openly support any side.”

”The changes in the current war situation are still unclear, neither the Allies nor the Allies can claim to be sure of victory.”

”It’s hard to say whether the Allies can defeat England and France on land, while the naval forces of the Allies are at a definite advantage.”

”Therefore, I think the Allies still have a greater chance of winning, among England and France, the UK has yet to show its true strength.”

The UK has always held back in the war, this is certainly confirmed, after all, with its vast holdings, unlike Germany and Austria-Hungary which exhausted their treasury due to blockades in advance.

Logans asked: ”Your Majesty, what if the United States truly enters the war?”

Ernst continued: ”Then it becomes easier to judge. If the United States enters the war, we will continue to observe until the situation becomes clearer. If the Allies can secure an advantage on the European continent, we will join the Allies and start conflicts over the overseas colonies of the United Kingdom and France, incorporating India, Australia, and the Persian Gulf into the Empire’s territory.”

”If the Allies achieve a clear advantage, we will continue our current strategy of overseas expansion. In short, there is no need for us to assume risks.”

Ernst certainly hopes the Allies secure the final victory, allowing East Africa to invade and seize territories in the Indian Ocean, West Africa, and other regions without restraint.

However, if the Allies fail, East Africa will not suffer losses either, provided that East Africa continues to maintain its status as a Neutral Country.

Ultimately, it’s down to the East African Navy’s lack of confidence in capturing those strategic points controlled by the British in a short time.

Once in a stalemate, the Allies are capable of organizing a stronger navy to counterattack, they can offer conditions to involve the United States and Japan in the war.

Although the German Navy is sizable, the British need only a small force to block the German Navy in the Baltic Sea.

As for the Austria-Hungary Empire and the Ottoman Empire Navy, they can also be ignored, and the East African Navy certainly cannot single-handedly challenge the navies of England, France, America, and Japan.

Perhaps, England and France can even rally the naval forces of other countries, like Spain, Portugal, etc.

So the risks of joining the Allies are considerable. Although Ernst thinks with East Africa’s mainland, East Africa will not be in danger of a national crisis, it is not worth taking this risk for the Allies.

And with Ernst’s decisive ruling, the East African Government naturally opts to continue watching, maintaining composure against the bait offered by the Allies or the Allies.
