High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2843: Chapter 1064: Mini Award Ceremony

Old saying goes well.

When misfortune reaches its limit, fortune begins.

Before dawn there is darkness, bad news comes one after another, which is often a precursor to good news.

Just like the Line Drawing in Divination, when luck falls to a certain limit, it will always be pulled by fate, allowing you to feel that living is still beautiful.

After the magic spell class in the morning, Old Yao did not leave the classroom immediately as usual, instead he knocked on the table, signaling the slightly noisy classroom to quiet down.

”I just received a notification from the school that your talisman class in the afternoon will only last until four o’clock, and then from four thirty to five thirty, we will have a small award ceremony, everyone gather in the First Hall.”

At this, he pointed out two monitors: ”——Tang Dun, responsible for the boys; Liu Feifei, responsible for the girls. Remember, not one less, everyone must go. At that time, I might not have time to accompany you, you are not children, follow the rules. That’s it.”

And just as he stopped speaking, the dean of Jiuyou Academy dissipated into a cluster of light spots.

Leaving the young wizards looking at each other in confusion.

A few seconds later, the uproar sound exploded.

”Small ceremony?”

Zheng Qing habitually turned his head toward Xiao Xiao, as the captain of the Yuzui Hunting Team, he habitually relied on his own diviner: ”What ceremony requires taking time from our class?”

Doctor Xiao rolled his eyes.

”I am just a not yet graduated young diviner, not the all-knowing prophet in storybooks.”

The short warlock unkindly rolled up the Bamboo Slip Law Book on the table, gestured with his chin: ”——For this real-time news, you should ask the fat man, aren’t the reporters from their editorial department the fastest runners?.”

Zheng Qing turned to look at Xin.

Only to see him with his back toward him, opening the window beside.

”I also have no idea.”

The fat wizard seemed to sense the gaze from the boy, answering without turning back: ”Haven’t heard about any events in this short period? You see, I’m also looking around?”

As he spoke, a flock of paper cranes fell from his hand, forming a colorful mass under the sunlight, then in the blink of an eye, the colorful mass exploded into pieces, and the colorful paper cranes flew to all directions.

Zhang Ji Xin puffed out his chest, waited for a while, but never heard Zheng Qing ask him.

”Why aren’t you asking me?”

”Do you know?”

Zheng Qing was greatly surprised—truthfully, because his brother is ’Lei Zhe’, Zhang Ji Xin is always very well-informed within the student organization, but still merely ’well-informed’, it is hard to imagine that his sensitivity to intelligence could surpass Xin Fat Man or Xiao Xiao.

”I don’t know.”

The red-faced male wizard gave an answer that was somewhat speechless, but with a change of tone, he rather self-satisfactorily added: ”——But I guess it should be related to last night’s ’sudden event’. Otherwise, this arrangement wouldn’t be so abrupt.”

Last night?

The green dragon in the Silent Forest?

Actually, Zheng Qing had also thought of this possibility just now but felt the possibility was too low. Because Old Yao just mentioned clearly that the afternoon event was an ’award ceremony’. If forced to associate it with last night’s accident, the only possibility would be that the school caught up with the big crow that had been sneak-hunting on Buji Island for a long time.

But is it possible?

Zheng Qing expressed doubt.

...

...

”You’re also unaware?”

The black gemstone cat was on Su Shijun’s desk, tail up, pacing in small steps, head tilted, from the tone to the gaze, fully interpreting what the word ’doubt’ means.

”Please, I’m very busy, how could I have time to care about the school’s small awards!”

The head of the Two-dimensional Evolution Laboratory paid no attention to the reaction of the little thing on the table, instead, head down, quickly approving today’s experiment reports, speaking quickly: ”——Don’t expect me to ask for you, just a few hours left, isn’t it good to have some suspense? Although you’re a cat, you’re more of a wizard, don’t raise such a big curiosity as cat!”

The black gemstone cat sighed in disappointment.

The witch raised her eyelids, glanced at it, paused her feather pen slightly, teased: ”——Why, haven’t you asked your sweetheart? There are several elders from the Zhongshan Jiang Family in the school, their news must be better informed than mine.”

The black gemstone cat immediately hardened its face.

”Don’t speak ill of others behind their back,” it attempted to mimic its original body’s tone, imagining how it would question: ”You say she’s a sweetheart, then what about you?”

”I’m naturally the bigger one.” The witch smiled slightly.

The black gemstone cat was dumbfounded.

After a few seconds of daze.

It flicked its tail, turned and jumped off the witch’s desk.

”Alright... such matters, as long as you’re pleased, that’s fine, it doesn’t concern me, after all, I’m merely a stone.” The black gemstone cat mumbled, before exiting, turned its head corrected: ”I’m saying, I’m a gemstone, not a wizard, even not a cat!”

...

...

”——Today’s lesson will end here!”

On the podium, Ms. Zhang looked down at the time, pouted: ”Your Professor Yao mentioned a little award ceremony later, so this class will end an hour early.”

”You also don’t know what award it is?” Duan Xiao Jian stretched out his arm, asked loudly.

”Don’t know.”

The talisman class teacher shook his head, then clapped his hands: ”Everyone move quickly, you only have half an hour to gather... no, no need to attach Armor Horse Charm, there’s enough time if you proceed orderly.”

”The news from Alpha says that many people came from the Alliance today.” On the way to the First Hall, Xin Fat Man happily shared his information with his companions: ”...Great Wizard Conference, Wizard Council, Moon Council, Danghag, Trident Sword, even news saying that Dark Council sent people too, but will not show openly.”

”This arrangement.”

Zheng Qing smacked his lips, always feeling something was not right: ”Not at all like Old Yao said ’small award ceremony’... even the school opening ceremony didn’t have this scale!”

”Still not the same.” Zhang Ji Xin did manage to obtain some information: ”——School opening ceremony involves all students and teachers. But today’s small ceremony, according to what my brother said, the four Research Institutes, School Works Committee only sent some responsible people, and most of the fourth-year students won’t attend.”

By this time, it’s already the second semester of the fourth year, the majority of fourth-year students have either gone to the New World or entered various Alliance institutions for internships, rarely anyone stays on Buji Island.

Flutter.

A slender paper crane darted across, stuck on the fat wizard’s robe.

It’s the Campus Newspaper’s message paper crane.

Xin Shuren opened the letter, then raised eyebrows, looked around, expression somewhat quirky: ”——Got it, received from a journalist already on-site, saying the banner hanging reads ’First University Special Contribution Award’ ceremony.”
