Elderly Prince: My Spirit Increases by 1 Point Daily

Chapter 85: Chapter 84: Dragon Saliva Grass

After placing the Dragon Roar Sword into his Personal Space, Xia Wuyang didn’t leave. He continued his search.

Soon, in a hidden compartment nearby, he discovered an even bigger surprise.

A stalk of Dragon Saliva Grass, crystalline throughout!

This was a High Level Miracle Treasure, and a relatively rare and precious one at that. It could significantly boost the Cultivation Realm of an Upper Three Grades Martial Artist, being in no way inferior to the Seven Hundred Year-Old Monkey Wine—perhaps even superior.

Consuming it would, at the very least, allow him to advance by two or three minor realms, reaching the Second Grade Late Stage, or even the Second Grade Perfect Realm.

’Just a moment ago, I was thinking I wouldn’t have any more Miracle Treasures after using the Seven Hundred Year-Old Monkey Wine. I didn’t expect the Third Prince, Xia Wuchen, to give me such a big surprise in the blink of an eye.’

’This is my Dragon Saliva Grass too, so of course it should be returned to its rightful owner.’

Xia Wuyang gleefully put it away. He planned to wait for a period of consolidation and adaptation, until his Cultivation Foundation was completely stable, before consuming the Dragon Saliva Grass.

’Tonight’s haul is much bigger than I imagined. As expected of the immensely powerful Third Prince, he really does have some good stuff at home.’

He continued to plunder the study, and soon, more good things were discovered.

Bottle after bottle of High Level Elixirs, and rare and precious ones at that, were perfectly suited for his use.

There were also some priceless treasures and antiques, hundreds of thousands of taels in silver notes, and even some High Level Mortal Artifacts.

Xia Wuyang didn’t hold back, sweeping everything into his Personal Space. Even if he couldn’t use some of the items himself, he could sell them to others later in exchange for the resources and treasures he needed.

The vast study quickly became empty. The value of these treasures and resources was so high that it could rival the entire assets of some smaller Noble Families.

Although the Northern Zhao Family couldn’t match the wealth of the Celestial Treasure Pavilion, they weren’t far behind, especially as a military power that controlled many special resources and treasures.

This was only a portion of the resources and treasures owned by the Third Prince, Xia Wuchen. He had more in other places, but tonight’s haul was already substantial. ’I’ll visit the other locations next time.’

As he prepared to leave, Xia Wuyang left a little of the unique Gilded Gold Powder from Fifth Prince Xia Wushang’s palace in the study. The powder was extremely fine, but it would not be difficult for an expert to spot.

After doing all this, Xia Wuyang slipped away quietly. Although the Grandmaster had been vigilant of his surroundings, he hadn’t discovered a thing.

’I’d love to do something to the Third Prince, Xia Wuchen, as well,’ he thought. ’Like making him a eunuch, just like I did to the Fifth Prince, Xia Wushang.’

However, the defenses around the Third Prince were too tight. That First Grade Grandmaster seemed to be skilled in the Investigation Skill. For safety’s sake, it was better to be cautious.

’Tonight’s gains are more than enough. The Dragon Saliva Grass is an unexpected bonus. I shouldn’t stir up any more trouble.’

As Xia Wuyang was leaving, the First Grade Grandmaster guarding Xia Wuchen raised an eyebrow, as if he had noticed something, and glanced in the direction of the study.

After a careful inspection, he muttered to himself, ”Was that just my imagination?”

After returning to Wenhua Hall, Xia Wuyang finally felt safe enough to take out the Dragon Roar Sword. It glowed with a faint light under the radiance of a Luminous Pearl, and one could vaguely see dragon patterns flowing along the blade.

He gently drew the sword from its sheath. The clang of the blade was like a dragon’s roar, and its Sword Qi was overwhelming.

”Truly a fine sword!”

He couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration. With this Top Level Mortal Artifact, dealing with various enemies in the future would be much easier.

’First Grade Grandmasters will no longer be a concern,’ he thought. ’I haven’t tested it against a Super Grade Celestial Human yet, but I could probably hold my own.’

While Xia Wuyang was still experiencing the power of the Dragon Roar Sword and getting used to the Top Level Mortal Artifact, outside Xia Wuchen’s Practice Room in Wude Palace, the First Grade Grandmaster on guard, Zhao Wuji, slowly opened his eyes.

This Clan Elder of the Northern Zhao Family frowned slightly. He felt that something had indeed been wrong just now.

After a moment’s hesitation, he headed towards the study.

The door to the study was shut tight. Everything seemed normal, with nothing out of the ordinary.

But he still felt something was amiss. He hurriedly opened the door, and the sight that greeted him made even this Grandmaster, who had seen it all, gasp.

The study was completely empty. All the ancient texts, rare books, Cultivation Techniques, Combat Techniques... everything had vanished without a trace. Nothing was left.

Even some precious ornaments were gone. The hidden compartments were all open, their contents having vanished into thin air, leaving them empty.

In particular, the Third Prince Xia Wuchen’s favorite Dragon Roar Sword, and the hard-won High Level Miracle Treasure, the Dragon Saliva Grass, were also missing.

”This... This is impossible!”

Zhao Wuji’s face was ashen. Although he was guarding the Practice Room, the study was not far away and had been within his alert range the entire time.

He was confident that not even a fly could have passed through without him detecting it, yet right under his nose, the study had been completely ransacked.

There were several other Upper Three Grades Martial Artists nearby, and they hadn’t sensed anything either. And he, who was skilled in the Investigation Dao, had also discovered nothing.

’The enemy’s strength is easy to imagine. Could it be another First Grade Grandmaster, one who excels in the Concealment Dao? Or... or could it even be a Super Grade Celestial Human?’

’Probably not. If they truly had the power of a Super Grade Celestial Human, they wouldn’t have been so sneaky. It’s most likely a First Grade Grandmaster skilled in the Concealment Dao, but I can’t rule out a Second Grade Grandmaster with exceptional talent in this area.’

He carefully examined the scene and soon found some barely perceptible gold dust in a corner of the study—the specially made Gilded Gold Powder from Fifth Prince Xia Wushang’s residence.

His eyebrows shot up. Zhao Wuji immediately summoned Xia Wuchen. When he saw the empty study, the prince looked as if he had been struck by lightning.

”The Dragon Roar Sword... The Dragon Saliva Grass...” Xia Wuchen’s voice trembled with rage. ”Who was it? Who the hell was it?”

Zhao Wuji pointed to the fleck of gold powder. ”This was left at the scene. Your Highness, take a good look.”

Xia Wuchen inspected it closely and quickly identified it, flying into a rage. ”Xia Wushang, you’ve gone too far! I didn’t steal a single one of your treasures, yet you dare to retaliate against me like this!”

The Dragon Roar Sword was his best and favorite weapon, and the Dragon Saliva Grass was the key treasure for his breakthrough to Second Grade Grandmaster. Now, they had both vanished into thin air. How could he possibly accept this?

”If he’s going to be ruthless, then don’t blame me for being unjust.” Xia Wuchen’s face was filled with ferocity. ”Pass down my orders! Destroy all of his businesses in White Jade City!”

Zhao Wuji frowned. ”Your Highness, you’ve both just been placed under house arrest. Acting out now might...”

”What is there to be afraid of? He made the first move. Even if Father Emperor wants to assign blame, he’ll blame him first.” Xia Wuchen said hatefully, ”Never mind the fact that he slandered me before, but now he’s retaliating against me for some baseless accusation. If I don’t do something, he’ll really think I’m an easy target.”
