Elderly Prince: My Spirit Increases by 1 Point Daily

If all goes well, this book will go premium at midnight tonight. The first draft was actually finished back in May of last year. From the genre and title to the synopsis and content, every step received the approval of my editor-in-charge, Late-Night Snack. It was because of this approval that I felt confident enough to start stockpiling Chapters.

I originally planned to publish the book once I had a stockpile of tens of thousands of words, but as I wrote, my health unexpectedly began to give out.

Years of being hunched over a desk writing had taken a toll on my lower back and neck. The doctor instructed me to sit less, move around more, go for a few runs, and take some medication as part of my treatment.

Back then, I didn’t dare to publish the book. I was afraid that my health problems would force me to rush the ending or drop the story halfway through.

So, I had no choice but to keep stockpiling Chapters and wait until I felt better and could sit for long stretches of time before publishing.

This went on until March of this year. I gradually built up a backlog of Chapters, and my health finally improved to the point where I could sit for extended periods again.

I’d been so quiet for so long that I wonder if my editor, Late-Night Snack, was muttering about me behind my back. He probably thought I’d taken his priceless advice and run off with the book. In reality, I was just too scared to publish.

This past March, I reached out to Late-Night Snack again and explained the reason for my delay.

He didn’t say a single word of blame and still signed me to a contract without a moment’s hesitation.

I really want to take this moment to give him my sincerest thanks. Late-Night Snack is an incredibly responsible editor. Whenever I encountered a problem and reached out to him, he always helped me find a solution.

Thankfully, despite being a year late, the book doesn’t feel dated.

Since I started publishing, the book’s reception has been pretty decent, and I really have to thank all of you who have been following along.

Without you, this book never would have made it through so many rounds of recommendations, much less reach the Sanjiang feature list. Thank you all, truly.

Now, we’re about to go premium. For the first month, the base update schedule will be five Chapters per day—that’s over 10,000 words. On the day of the premium launch, I’ll be releasing ten Chapters.

I know some of you might be thinking: ”You saved up Chapters for ten months, and this is all you’re releasing? Only 10,000 words a day?”

So please, allow me to make a small request. Think of it as a way to give me a little extra motivation and push me to keep going.

If you are able, I humbly ask that you subscribe to the official release.

For every ten new average subscriptions, I’ll release one bonus Chapter. We currently have over two thousand readers following along. If just a thousand of you subscribe, that means I’ll release one hundred bonus Chapters. The sky’s the limit.

And don’t worry about me slacking off. Readers who are fully subscribed can check the rankings to see the average subscription count, so I welcome all of you to keep me honest and make sure I deliver on those bonus Chapters. Thank you all.

Please rest assured about my Chapter stockpile as well. Even though my health issues meant I couldn’t write much each day, I’ve still built up a decent backlog over the past ten months. It should be enough to cover the bonus Chapters, with some left over as an emergency reserve.

Once again, my deepest thanks to every single one of you who subscribes. Your support is the greatest motivation for me to keep writing.
