Divine Wilderness Dragon Emperor

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Momentum of Martial Arts

Ling Fei tested his power, ultimately shocking the entire crowd with an explosive force of 18,000 jin.

Even Pang Fei, Zhou Feng, and Liu Ming looked at him with newfound respect.

At that moment, these three geniuses truly began to see Ling Fei as their rival.

”Alright, Ling Fei’s combat power test results are in. Does anyone have any further questions?” Instructor Ruo Huan said to the crowd.

”No more.” At this point, no one questioned Ling Fei any longer.

By now, everyone felt that Ling Fei’s position as number one on the Human Ranking was well-deserved.

He was, after all, a disciple from a Humble Family, yet he had reached a level where he could stand shoulder to shoulder with the scions of the great clans.

This was incredibly rare.

One could say that such a thing was extremely uncommon at Celestial River Academy.

Although these geniuses were all arrogant, they respected the strong and held other geniuses in awe.

”Good. In that case, everyone please return to your seats,” Instructor Ruo Huan said.

”Yes!” Immediately, the fifty-some students returned to their seats.

Ling Fei was seated next to Shangguan Yurou, right in the center of the front row.

”With Ling Fei and Shangguan Yurou joining our Genius Class, I’m sure everyone is very happy!” Instructor Ruo Huan said.

”Mhm,” many students nodded.

Although they had been completely unconvinced by Ling Fei at first.

But after two battles and this latest test, they had long since shed those feelings.

Instead, they felt their horizons had been broadened, learning that the world was vast and that one should never underestimate others.

As for Liu Ming, Zhou Feng, and Pang Fei, the three of them felt a surge of pressure.

But for them, having another rival was a good thing.

Because it was too difficult for geniuses like them to find a worthy rival.

”Alright. Ling Fei’s performance today was quite astonishing. I imagine you’re all very curious as to why, when he clearly has a brute strength of 10,800 jin, he can unleash an Attack Power of 18,000 jin?” From the lecture platform, Instructor Ruo Huan’s gaze swept over the students below.

”Mhm.” Some students nodded.

”Does any student know why that is?” Instructor Ruo Huan asked.

Below, someone raised their hand.

”Good. Shangguan Moyu, you tell us,” Instructor Ruo Huan said, looking at Shangguan Moyu.

”It’s because Ling Fei has comprehended the Momentum of Martial Arts!” Shangguan Moyu said.

”Correct. That is precisely it.” Instructor Ruo Huan nodded, her eyes showing approval.

Afterward, Shangguan Moyu sat down.

”Today, I will explain the Momentum of Martial Arts to all of you,” Instructor Ruo Huan said, her gaze sharpening.

As soon as she said this, the entire class fell silent.

Even Ling Fei couldn’t help but focus his full attention, ready to listen to Instructor Ruo Huan’s explanation.

”Some Martial Arts were created by our predecessors to continuously unearth their own potential. For example, Shattering Stone Fist is a simple technique created after unearthing the human body’s potential and stimulating its Power. This is a basic martial art, classified as a Mortal Level Martial Art. Beyond that are the more High Level Celestial Martial Arts,” Instructor Ruo Huan said.

”The most common Celestial Martial Arts include Fierce Tiger Fist, Crane Fist, Spiritual Snake Step, and so on,” Instructor Ruo Huan continued.

”What? Fierce Tiger Fist is also a Celestial Martial Art?” Hearing this, a student exclaimed in surprise.

After all, Fierce Tiger Fist and Spiritual Snake Step were very common, basic Martial Arts!

Many students showed doubtful expressions.

Of course, some remained completely unfazed.

Disciples from great clans like Shangguan Yurou and Liu Ming had an understanding of Martial Arts that far surpassed that of ordinary people.

But disciples from a Humble Family, like Ling Fei, had very little insight into Martial Arts.

Although he had Elder Ling, Elder Ling hadn’t taught Ling Fei very much.

It seemed he was unwilling to reveal the extent of his Martial Arts Mastery.

It was only after the incident with Qin Ming that Ling Fei realized just how formidable Elder Ling’s strength was.

”That’s right, these are all Celestial Martial Arts,” Instructor Ruo Huan said. ”The various Martial Arts circulating in the Empire today are merely empty forms, so they naturally cannot achieve a Celestial Level effect. Furthermore, if the instructors themselves cannot comprehend the mysteries of these Martial Arts, how could they possibly unleash their true power?”

Hearing this, Ling Fei became thoughtful and then nodded in agreement.

Martial Master Zhang Quan might be strong in Longtan Town, but he was only at the Nine Layers of Body Tempering.

Besides, the Martial Arts circulating outside were merely simple sets of moves.

As for the Key Points, even if they were leaked, how many people could truly comprehend them?

”Instructor, what is the most important part of these Martial Arts? Why is there such a difference?” someone in the hall asked.

”The greatest difference is ’momentum,’ which is also the very soul of Celestial Martial Arts,” Daoist Ruo Huan said.

”’Momentum’?” At this, many people furrowed their brows.

Everyone else looked up at Instructor Ruo Huan, their eyes filled with anticipation.

They knew that the crucial part was coming next.

”’Momentum’ sounds ethereal and illusory, yet it truly exists,” Instructor Ruo Huan said. ”Take, for example, the momentum of a fierce tiger pouncing on a mountain, or a Profound Eagle diving. The ancients created Martial Arts based on the momentum of such fierce beasts. However, momentum is something one must comprehend personally; it is difficult to put into words. That is why, as these arts were passed down through generations, only the superficial moves remained.”

The students below were lost in thought.

”The difference between a Mortal Level Martial Art and a Celestial Martial Art is ’momentum.’ It is a kind of Mental Realm that most people will never be able to comprehend in their entire lifetime,” Instructor Ruo Huan continued.

”Instructor, is this ’momentum’ what Ling Fei has comprehended?” someone from below the stage asked.

”Mhm.” Instructor Ruo Huan nodded. ”Correct. It is because he comprehended this ’momentum’ that he can produce such formidable explosive power.”

”So that’s how it is.” Hearing this, Tie Jun and the others nodded slightly.

Only now did they understand the gap between themselves and Ling Fei.

”Instructor, is it very difficult to comprehend momentum?” another person asked.

”It is very difficult, and yet very easy!” said Instructor Ruo Huan.

Instantly, many people revealed looks of confusion.

Ling Fei also looked curious.

”For someone with dull aptitude, comprehending ’momentum’ is very difficult. But for a talented genius, it is only a matter of time. In fact, after stepping into the Innate Realm, many people will eventually get the chance to comprehend ’momentum’ and display superlative combat power,” Instructor Ruo Huan said.

”’Innate Realm?’” Hearing this, Ling Fei’s brows furrowed, and he fell into contemplation.

Previously, when Shangguan Qingmu and Huang Xiaoman were tested, their True Qi was incredibly sharp, like whistling Sword Qi.

’Is that a kind of sword ’momentum’?’ Ling Fei mused to himself.

”Instructor, can everyone in the Innate Realm comprehend the ’momentum’ of Martial Arts?” someone asked.

”Those who comprehend ’momentum’ have a much greater chance of stepping into the Innate Realm, and most who step into the Innate Realm can also comprehend the ’momentum’ of Martial Arts,” Instructor Ruo Huan said.

”However, nothing is ever absolute.”

Hearing this, many of the students fell silent.

”It seems the Innate Realm is more powerful than I imagined,” Ling Fei murmured.

The so-called ability to reach 10,000 jin of power after stepping into the Innate Realm refers to Basic Power.

If they could also comprehend the Momentum of Martial Arts, then the power they could unleash would be anything but simple.

’However, I’m only at the Mid Stage of Body Tempering Ninth Layer right now. If I reach the Perfection Realm, I’ll definitely be even stronger.’ Although he now understood the strength of the Innate Realm, Ling Fei didn’t look down on himself. He could already reach 10,000 jin of power, which was an advantage. As long as he continued to work hard, he would only become stronger.
