Divine Wilderness Dragon Emperor

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: I Really Held Back

Ling Fei knocked Tie Jun back with a single punch.

Tie Jun spat out a mouthful of blood, a clear sign of internal injury.

This scene plunged the area below the platform into silence.

”I didn’t sense any Cold Dao True Qi in his fist!” Even Instructor Ruo Huan was stunned.

In other words, Ling Fei hadn’t used his Cold Essence True Qi at all when he attacked.

At the very least, the True Qi hadn’t overflowed from his fist to strike his opponent.

It was as if Ling Fei had circulated all the Blood Qi Power in his body, making himself immensely strong.

However, that Power was contained entirely within his body, in a defensive state.

If he had used True Qi to attack, some of it would have inevitably leaked out.

Take Tie Jun, for example. Just now, his palm had glowed with a golden luster. When he struck, his True Qi burst forth like a sharp blade, intending to rip Ling Fei’s fist apart.

For a Cultivator at the Ninth Layer of Body Tempering, even one at the Perfection Realm, their projected True Qi would extend less than an inch.

But its power was still immense.

Instructor Ruo Huan had sensed all of this.

But the moment Tie Jun’s True Qi touched Ling Fei’s fist, it dissipated.

Because of this, the look in her eyes as she gazed at Ling Fei changed.

Meanwhile, Tie Jun stabilized himself. He circulated his Cultivation Technique, hastily calming the turbulent True Qi within his body.

Only then did he raise his head and look forward.

Ling Fei had already retracted his fist. He stood tall and straight on the Martial Arts Testing Platform, like an iron spear.

One could faintly sense an imposing, mountain-like aura emanating from him.

”You... How are your bones so hard? And how is your Power so immense?” Tie Jun stared intently at Ling Fei, his mind already reeling. His face was a mask of disbelief as he spoke. In their exchange, his incomparably sharp True Qi had been shattered by sheer brute force.

He hadn’t felt the ravages of Cold Dao True Qi within that overwhelming force.

Clearly, his opponent hadn’t projected his True Qi at all, nor had he used Ice Seal to counter his own True Qi.

Instead, he had simply been crushed by pure, domineering Power.

This was a fact that Tie Jun found difficult to accept.

When Tie Jun spoke, he had completely lost the composure of a genius.

Seeing this, the students below the platform understood that Tie Jun must have suffered a massive blow during their clash. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have lost his composure like this.

And so, the students of the Genius Class all turned to Ling Fei, their faces filled with astonishment.

Their eyes held complex emotions.

It seemed they hadn’t expected this spar to end this way either.

”Sorry, you were just going on about how amazing your ancestors were, so I decided to attack using my full Blood Qi Power. But I really was holding back!” Seeing the blood trickling from the corner of Tie Jun’s mouth, Ling Fei said with an aggrieved expression. The implication of his words was clear: ’Who knew you’d be so weak?’

’I was already holding back, and you were still this fragile. Who can you blame?’

PFFT!

The moment these words were spoken, Tie Jun’s face flushed red, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Then, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed onto the ground.

He...

...seemed to have fainted!

”Tie Jun!”

”Brother Jun!”

Immediately, a few people from below rushed onto the platform and helped Tie Jun up.

”Brother Jun, wake up!” a young man said, shaking Tie Jun.

’Wake up my ass!’ Being shaken by the young man, Tie Jun was incredibly frustrated.

Apparently, he had really spat blood, but the fainting was an act.

It was just too humiliating.

He had been the one to challenge him, and he had been so arrogant and overbearing before!

But he was defeated and made to spit blood with a single blow.

And to make matters worse, his opponent hadn’t even used his full strength.

It would have been fine if no one had mentioned it.

But now that Ling Fei had said it out loud, where was he supposed to hide his face!

So, he had directly ’fainted.’

It was a good way to escape the awkward situation.

But this kid was shaking him so hard that Tie Jun was about to faint for real.

”Brother Jun can’t be on the verge of death from his injuries, can he?” But with Tie Jun ”unconscious,” the two young men were very worried.

”Brother Jun, wake up! Don’t scare us!” They shook him with all their might.

’Wake up my ass! Even if I wasn’t dying, you’d shake me to death.’ Helpless, Tie Jun had no choice but to open his eyes.

”He’s not dead! That’s great!” Seeing this, the two young men finally helped Tie Jun off the platform.

”How are you? Do you need to go to the infirmary?” Instructor Ruo Huan walked up and asked.

”I’m fine. I just accidentally got the wind knocked out of me,” Tie Jun said.

Hearing this, Instructor Ruo Huan nodded slightly. With her powerful perception, she could naturally tell that Tie Jun was not seriously injured.

Tie Jun was helplessly helped away.

Then, the members of the Genius Class turned their gazes back to the Martial Arts Testing Platform.

At this moment, the crowd was feeling a strange mix of emotions.

It was over before they even had their fill.

Many of the geniuses were holding their breath in frustration, glaring at Ling Fei.

”Fellow students, please don’t look at me like that. I was really holding back just now!”

Ling Fei said with an aggrieved expression as the people below the stage stared at him.

”Pfft!” Hearing this, Tie Jun nearly spat out another mouthful of blood. He felt it would have been better to stay ’fainted’.

Otherwise, he really couldn’t take this repeated damage of over ten thousand points!

”No, I can’t take it anymore! This Ling Fei is too arrogant!” one of the geniuses said.

”Ling Fei, I’ll fight you!” another genius shouted.

All those geniuses looked indignant.

’Fine, you beat Tie Jun, but did you have to be so earnest about holding back? Are you looking down on all of us geniuses?’

Seeing these geniuses all looking at him as if he were their mortal enemy, Ling Fei was a little speechless.

’Heaven can bear witness, I really was holding back!’

’If I hadn’t been, how could Tie Jun even be standing right now?’

”Fellow students, we are all Cultivators. We should focus on cultivating our minds, not proposing a fight at the drop of a hat!” Ling Fei said. ”It would be terrible if I accidentally hurt you, wouldn’t it?” In his mind, these students were far too weak to be worthy opponents.

Therefore, Ling Fei had no desire to fight them.

It wouldn’t be good if he hurt them, after all.

But...

The moment Ling Fei said this, those geniuses became even more furious.

”ARGH! I can’t stand it! This Ling Fei is too conceited!” a student yelled, looking around at the others. ”Isn’t anyone going to teach him a lesson?”

”Enough with the nonsense, Ling Fei! Are you going to fight or not!” a genius said.

Countless gazes fell upon Ling Fei.

Most of the male students were glaring at him furiously.

”This Ling Fei...” Zhou Qingshui’s slender brows arched as she looked at Ling Fei, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Now, she was completely intrigued by this genius.

The other female students were all gazing at Ling Fei with faces full of anticipation.

From the looks of it, they all seemed to want to know more about the young man before them.

Being stared at by so many people, Ling Fei’s brow furrowed slightly. His gaze then shifted down toward Instructor Ruo Huan.

”You may fight if you wish, but remember, this is only a spar. Students should be friendly with one another. Do not use a heavy hand,” Instructor Ruo Huan said.

”Alright,” Ling Fei nodded. He then looked down at the students below and said, ”If you want to fight, then come on up!”

His tone was tinged with a hint of laziness.

It was as if he wasn’t particularly concerned about this kind of spar.

In his eyes, the only ones truly worth fighting were the top geniuses like Liu Yuan, Zhou Feng, Pang Fei, and Shangguan Yurou.

However, his lazy attitude only served to fuel everyone’s dissatisfaction.

”I’ll go!” a young man leaped onto the platform.

This person was ranked eighth on the Mortal Rankings. His name was Pang Cheng, and he was Pang Fei’s cousin.

As soon as the words fell, Pang Cheng appeared on the Martial Arts Testing Platform.

”Pang Cheng is up!”

”Pang Cheng is the genius ranked eighth on the Mortal Rankings! He has an Earth Spirit Body. Even though it’s only a Sub-Spirit Body, it’s still stronger than Tie Jun’s Half-Spirit Body.”

When Pang Cheng leaped onto the platform, an immediate uproar broke out below.

Pang Cheng’s Spirit Body was flawed, but he was still a genius.

Now that he was making a move, things would be different.

Instantly, the students of the Genius Class were filled with anticipation.
