High School DxD: Return of the Crimson Dragon Emperor

Chapter 194: Chapter 186: A Visitor from the Morning! - Part 1

[Third-Person Side]

A few days earlier.

The Underworld faced a crisis, plunged into chaos by Shalba Beelzebub’s forbidden magic.

Thanks to Ajuka Beelzebub’s counter-spell, the Beast Horde had been eradicated, leaving only the colossal Ultra Beast to be defeated.

From a vantage point just outside the Demon King’s capital, Lilith, a figure observed the scene.

He watched as the Red Dragon Emperor, Issei Hyoudou, returned from a pseudo-dimension and struck down the Ultra Beast.

”Hahaha♪ He’s as impressive as ever♪” the figure said.

He had striking white hair and a youthful, almost boyish face—a beauty that could be called ethereal.

His attire was unremarkable: a white hoodie, like any human might wear.

The boy grinned, watching a crimson pillar of light soar into the sky.

”Taking a hit like that would wipe even me out,” he said. ”He keeps surpassing my expectations. Looks like he smashed my creation, too.”

The boy’s heart danced with delight at the Underworld’s chaos and the god-slaying power before him.

Losing his creation was unexpected, sure, but he didn’t mind. He’d never make something that grand again, but the world was more exciting when the unexpected happened. That’s how he saw it.

Satisfied with the spectacle, the boy pulled up his hood and turned to leave.

After a few steps, he glanced back. ”The world’s about to get messy, huh. Can you save it again, Hero-kun?”

With that, he vanished into a gust of dark wind.

[Third-Person Side Out]

Boobs.

I woke up to boobs.

Not that I turned into boobs—my head was just sandwiched between them.

For some reason, my body was pinned down, completely immobile. I could only move my head to take in the situation.

”...Issei...” Rias mumbled in her sleep.

”...Issei-kun... more...” Akeno murmured.

Both were hugging my head, their sheer negligees giving me an almost direct feel of their glorious chests!

”...Mmm...” Miu stirred.

”...Snooze...” Alice snored, the two cuddling close as they slept.

They’ve been bonding a lot since becoming my retainers—going shopping together and stuff. As their King, I’m thrilled to see them get along. Rias must feel the same watching us.

”...Issei-san...” Asia whispered my name.

”...Zzz...” Xenovia slept boldly, stomach exposed.

”...Manju’s so tasty...” Irina mumbled, using Xenovia as a body pillow.

”...Nya...” Koneko curled up on my stomach like a cat.

”...Hehe...” Reyna giggled happily, lost in some dream.

And Ophis? She lay on my chest, hands crossed like a corpse. Since she started staying here, she’s been following me around like a shadow. Guess she’s attached?

So, yeah, nearly the full crew was piled onto my bed.

Sleeping surrounded by girls! Sandwiched between Rias and Akeno’s boobs! Talk about a morning pick-me-up!

But, man, what a scene. One guy, a ton of girls, all sharing a bed.

Lately, the girls have been sneaking into my bed more often. Their affection’s gotten bolder, too.

Take school mornings. Miu used to claim the spot next to me, but now the girls fight over it. Rias and Akeno are quick to lock down both sides. The church trio, Koneko, and Reyna counter by gluing themselves to me after school.

Miu just watches with a warm smile, like she’s deliberately stepping back. It’s moments like that when I think, ”Wow, Miu’s grown up.”

Then there’s club time. Koneko used to own my lap, but Ravel finally made her move. They started competing for it!

What even is my lap!?

I’ll admit, their soft butts made me forget any complaints. I settled it by giving Koneko my right knee and Ravel my left. Fair and square. And, man, their butts? Perfection.

Bath time’s another story. Miu and Alice have that on lockdown. They join me, scrub my back—the works. Two gorgeous girls pampering me? A King’s dream!

So why the sudden boldness?

”...It’s because of that incident, isn’t it?” I muttered.

”You were gone for days, even if you came back safe,” a voice said. ”Your safety was unknown. This was bound to happen.”

Tia was sitting nearby, sipping tea from a cup.

”Morning, Tia,” I said.

”Morning,” she replied with a smirk. ”Quite the setup for a harem king, huh?”

”Yeah, but their enthusiasm’s getting hard to keep up with...” I admitted.

”That’s where you show your manliness,” Tia said. ”You’re handling it well. Your talent for charming women is top-notch.”

”That’s harsh...” I groaned.

Charming? I’m just getting swept along!

Tia walked over and gently stroked Asia’s cheek as she slept. ”I’m complimenting you. You balance everyone so well. None of the girls around you seem unhappy, right?”

”I guess...” I mumbled. ”What about you, Tia?”

”Me?” She paused, hand on her chin, then smiled. ”I’m plenty happy as is. These peaceful days are nice. But...”

”You want more lovey-dovey time with Issei?” a third voice cut in.

Ignis appeared behind Tia, wrapping her arms around her in a hug, hands inching toward Tia’s ample chest.

Tia swatted them away. ”Don’t grope me without permission.”

”Aw, just a little! Stingy Tia!” Ignis pouted.

”Who’s stingy?”

Whoa! Tia’s shutting down that useless goddess like a pro! Even Ddraig cries for help against Ignis!

Guess that’s a Dragon King for you. Cool as hell, big sis!

I gotta ask her for tips on handling Ignis.

But then—

”You’re right, though,” Tia said. ”I wouldn’t mind more time with Issei.”

”See?” Ignis grinned. ”I’ve been letting Rias and the others have him since they’re younger, but Miu’s got it figured out. She balances giving space and getting her share.”

”Hmm,” Tia nodded. ”Miu’s got skill. Never monopolizing, but always getting her affection. Impressive.”

”She’s the head wife, after all,” Ignis said.

They’re nodding in agreement!? What are these big sisters plotting!?

Sure, Miu’s been great at balancing things—giving me lap pillows or getting them herself, plenty of cuddling—but you’re taking notes from her!? The strongest Dragon King!?

Knock knock.

”Good morning, Issei-sama. Are you awake?” Ravel’s voice called.

”Yeah, I’m up!” I replied.

Ravel opened the door and froze, eyes wide at the bed. ”...This is incredible... I’m completely late to the party... I wanted to join...”

You wanted to join!?

I mean, I’m all for it, but this bed’s already a warzone!

”...Mmm...” Rias stirred, waking up.

She blinked sleepily at me, Tia, Ignis, and Ravel, then at the bed, giving a wry smile. ”Morning, everyone... Wow, this bed’s a mess.”

Yeah, no kidding.

Ravel moved to wake the others, then remembered something. ”Oh, Rias-sama, isn’t it time for the magician contracts? And that vampire visitor?”

Right, Rias mentioned it’s the season for magician contracts. They start reaching out around now. The vampire’s probably tied to Gasper.

”Ravel, please support Issei with the magicians,” Rias said. ”I’m counting on you, Manager.”

Ravel puffed out her chest. ”Leave it to me! As the Red Dragon Emperor’s manager, I, Ravel Phenex, will select the perfect magicians for Issei-sama!”

Her enthusiasm warmed my heart. I may be a high-ranking devil, but I’m clueless about the devil world and other factions. Rias and Ravel’s support got me through the exam, and having Ravel’s help now is a lifesaver.

”Thanks, Ravel. I’m counting on you,” I said.

”Yes!” she beamed.

Morning energy, full throttle.

But...

”Hey, why are you here, Kuroka?” I asked.

A black-haired beauty in a kimono stepped out from behind Ravel. ”Yo♪ Just dropping by, Red Dragon Emperor-chin,” she purred.

”Oh, um, thanks for having us,” added Le Fay, a magician girl with a pointy hat, appearing behind Kuroka.

The Vali team’s ladies were back! Last time was right before my exam, when Ophis first visited.

”Kuroka!?” Rias gasped. ”How are you here!?”

”When did you sneak in!?” Ravel yelped, realizing they’d gotten behind her.

Tia stayed calm. ”White Dragon Emperor’s allies, huh? You must’ve marked this place with a teleportation circle last time.”

Marking my house!? This isn’t enemy territory, you know!

I sighed, but Kuroka just grinned. ”Ding-dong♪ Thanks to that, I can pop in anytime. Means I get to use this huge bath whenever I want♪”

She’s treating my place like a free spa! No enemy territory vibes here!

Koneko woke up at Kuroka’s voice. ”...Big Sis? Why are you here?”

I caught a glimpse of Koneko’s small chest through her pajama gap. Bless you.

”I’m here ’cause Shirone wanted to learn some tricks from me,” Kuroka said. ”Be grateful, nya. Oh, and I claimed a spare room, so deal with it~♪”

Claimed a room!? Sure, this six-story place has plenty of spares, but you can’t just take one!

”Also,” Le Fay added nervously, ”since it’s magician contract season, I thought I could stay as an advisor... if that’s okay?”

”Kuroka, take a page from Le Fay,” I said. ”Learn some humility.”

”Humility doesn’t suit me~” Kuroka teased, loosening her kimono and leaning forward, her massive chest practically spilling out. ”I’ll thank you with my body, Red Dragon Emperor-chin.”

”Welcome to the Hyoudou household!” I blurted.

”Issei!?” Rias snapped.

Whoops, fell for it. Getting called out by Rias is rare.

But, come on, those boobs! No man could resist. Boobs are supreme.

”Oh, um, a letter from ex-Governor Azazel,” Le Fay said, handing me an envelope.

”From the teach?” I opened it.

”Kuroka and Le Fay might drop by now and then. Take care of ’em♪ It won’t be a big deal, so play nice. From your beloved Azazel.”

...That guy’s always doing whatever he wants. It’ll probably be fine, but still.

”Where’s Vali?” I asked.

”He’s off on other business,” Kuroka said. ”We’re on our own for now.”

So they’re crashing here while he’s gone.

”I’ll only pop in sometimes, so don’t mind me,” Kuroka said, winking. ”I’ll train Shirone properly, too♪”

Rias sighed, hand on her forehead. ”Fine, do what you want. But take care of Koneko. And lend a hand when we need it. Give and take, devil-style.”

Guess Rias half-gave up and approved.

And so, Kuroka and Le Fay became frequent visitors.

The Hyoudou household’s about to get even livelier.
