The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 551: Chapter 551: Chairman Cheng, I Hope You’ll Stick to Business

Cheng Yuan’s voice wasn’t loud, but it struck like a thunderclap, nearly knocking Pei Yuanbin senseless.

Pei Yuanbin wanted to run, but his legs felt like they were filled with lead, welded to the floor. He couldn’t move an inch.

Pei Yuanbin could only turn stiffly, mustering his courage to face Cheng Yuan. He gritted his teeth and said, ”Cheng, this is a society ruled by law. You’re not actually going to kill me, are you?”

Cheng Yuan grinned. ”Kill you? You’re not worthy. Special Assistant Hua, Pei Yuanbin has been committing fraud by falsely claiming to be a primary agent for the Lingxi Health Beverage. Handle it.”

”As you command!”

Hua Qianyu bowed her head, then waved to the two Elders. ”Seize Pei Yuanbin immediately!”

”Yes!”

The two Elders strode forward, instantly subduing Pei Yuanbin and dragging him toward Hua Qianyu.

Pei Yuanbin was terrified. He shouted, ”Special Assistant Hua, President Zheng and I are good friends! You can’t do this to me!”

Hua Qianyu’s gaze turned icy. ”You despicable worm, you have the nerve to mention President Zheng? You’re the one who landed him in the hospital, and it’s uncertain if he’ll even pull through! Pei Yuanbin, you can just wait to disappear off the face of the earth!”

Pei Yuanbin tried to speak again, but one of the Elders chopped him on the neck with the side of his hand, knocking him out cold.

The two Elders dragged Pei Yuanbin away like he was a dead dog.

The members of the He Family all wore complicated expressions.

Just moments ago, Pei Yuanbin had been a mountain pressing down on their He Family. They’d been forced to offer up their most outstanding daughter and a sincerity deposit of one hundred million.

But now, with a single word from Cheng Yuan, Pei Yuanbin was dragged away like a dead dog.

He might not even live to see tomorrow’s sun.

The difference in status was simply too vast.

Instantly, most of the He Family members shot accusatory looks at He Guosheng. If he hadn’t disowned Zhixuan, their family would have had a truly magnificent son-in-law.

He Guosheng was so frustrated he wanted to kill himself.

’That damned ex-con is actually a Divine Doctor and a Martial Dao genius. But the worst part is, he somehow got in with Prince Duan! He caught the He Family completely off guard!’

’But I, He Guosheng, will never yield to an ex-con!’

’No matter how incredible his Martial Dao is, he wouldn’t dare kill every single person in the He Family, would he?’

Hua Qianyu once again bowed respectfully to Cheng Yuan. ”Master Cheng, with this matter settled, I will take my leave.”

Cheng Yuan nodded slightly.

Hua Qianyu turned and left without a moment’s hesitation, which sent the He Family into a panic.

He Guosheng quickly hurried forward to block Hua Qianyu’s path, a fawning expression on his face. ”Special Assistant Hua, please wait!”

Hua Qianyu stopped and looked at He Guosheng with a puzzled expression. ”President He, how may I help you?”

The smile on He Guosheng’s face grew wider, bordering on obsequious. ”Special Assistant Hua, the Pei Group is finished. Your Duan Conglomerate will need a new primary agent. The He Group has already established sales channels and can definitely be an excellent primary agent for the Lingxi Health Beverage! Please, give us a chance!”

The corners of Hua Qianyu’s mouth tilted up into a strange curve. ”President He, I’m afraid you’re asking the wrong person. You should be asking Master Cheng about this.”

’Ask that ex-con?’

He Guosheng looked completely bewildered.

”Special Assistant Hua, you have a strange sense of humor. Even though Cheng Yuan is a Divine Doctor, a Martial Dao genius, and Prince Duan’s sworn brother, he’s not part of the Duan Conglomerate. He can’t be in charge of this! The Duan Conglomerate is the general distributor for the Lingxi Health Beverage in Qian Province, so of course I should be asking you!”

Hua Qianyu ’kindly’ explained, ”Master Cheng is indeed not part of the Duan Conglomerate. However, he has another identity. He is the chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical. Now, do you think Master Cheng is in a position to handle this matter?”

BUZZ!

He Guosheng’s mind went blank.

The members of the He Family looked as if they had been struck by lightning. They were all dumbfounded.

’Oh my god!’

’What did Special Assistant Hua just say?’

’That ex-con—no, Master Cheng—is the chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical?’

’How is that possible?!’

He Zhixuan was also stunned. ”Junior, is what Special Assistant Hua said true? Are you the chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical?”

Cheng Yuan nodded slightly. ”Yes, I am indeed the chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical.”

He Zhixuan’s mouth twitched. ”Junior, just how many secrets are you hiding? You’re so outstanding... I’m feeling a bit of pressure...”

If even He Zhixuan was struggling to handle the pressure, the rest of the He Family was in an even worse state.

Hearing Cheng Yuan confirm his identity, the He Family was filled with terror and regret.

’What have we missed out on?!’

Even if Cheng Yuan was a Divine Doctor, a Martial Dao genius, or Prince Duan’s sworn brother, none of that would have directly affected their He Family.

But the identity of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s chairman? That was enough to have the He Family completely at his mercy.

Given Yuanxi Pharmaceutical’s status in the medical industry, it was no exaggeration to say that with a single word, Cheng Yuan could completely blacklist the He Family.

All the arrogance vanished from He Guosheng. It was as if he had aged several decades in an instant.

He knew the He Family was finished.

Utterly finished.

And he had ruined it with his own hands.

He had screwed everything up!

However, as the head of the He Family, He Guosheng had no choice but to face this cruel reality and suck up to Cheng Yuan.

They had already done so much preparation for the Lingxi Health Beverage agency rights and had poured so much money into setting up sales channels. They had to secure the contract!

He Guosheng slapped himself hard across the face, then forced a smile that was uglier than a crying face as he looked fawningly at Cheng Yuan.

”Chairman Cheng, I was blind before. I have offended you greatly, and I sincerely apologize! However, business is business. Our He Family has established a vast sales network, which makes us a qualified agent. I hope you can remain rational and grant our He Family the agency rights.”

’Business is business?’

’Remain rational?’

Heh...

Cheng Yuan sneered. ”I’m sorry, but I, Cheng Yuan, am not a pure businessman. I’m very protective of my own, very domineering, and quite unreasonable. You already disowned Zhixuan from the He Family. On what grounds should I give you the agency rights? Don’t indulge in such pipe dreams.”

He Guosheng staggered, nearly falling over.

But He Guosheng knew that he was the head of the He Family. He absolutely could not fall. If he fell, the He Family would be finished.

He Guosheng knew he wouldn’t be able to persuade Cheng Yuan, so his only option was to try his luck with He Zhixuan.

It had to be said, He Guosheng was quite a character—flexible and pragmatic when it counted.

Even though He Zhixuan was his junior, He Guosheng gave her a deep bow.

”Zhixuan, your uncle was wrong! I was terribly wrong! I sincerely apologize to you. I take back the order to disown you from the He Family! I will never oppose your relationship with Chairman Cheng again! Please, help your uncle and beg Chairman Cheng for us. The He Family can’t lose the agency rights!”

Instantly, every member of the He Family turned to look at He Zhixuan with eyes full of desperate hope.

They hoped that she would consider their family ties and plead their case to Cheng Yuan.
