Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2368: Chapter 2304: Shouting Along with Little

Chiang Xiao.

It happens that Chiang and Jiang sound the same, so even if the name is changed, there’s actually no difference when calling it out.

She might get used to it a bit more.

After hearing his words, Chiang Xiao also contemplated the name in her mind, indeed finding it more acceptable.

”Will great-grandfather be unhappy about it?”

Hearing Chiang Xiao say this, Ah Liu knew she was indeed inclined to change it.

He looked at Old Master Jiang and asked, ”Grandfather, just changing the surname, but not the given name, what do you think?”

Old Master Jiang was a little disappointed, but after thinking it over, he let it go. Hadn’t he himself said that it was better for Chiang Xiao to like it herself? She shouldn’t be forced.

”It’s fine, as long as Little likes it. The important thing is the surname.”

”Little, did you hear what great-grandfather said?”

”I heard it, thank great-grandfather for me.” Chiang Xiao no longer hesitated, ”Dad, let’s just change it to Chiang Xiao directly.”

”Alright, tonight we’ll add you to the family records. On your side, ask your aunt to find someone to help you change your ID card, student records, and accounts.”

Changing a name involves a lot.

Without help, Chiang Xiao would have to make many trips.

Chiang Xiao agreed.

”It’s also good to change it before you and Xinian get married.”

With the name decided, Old Master Jiang was happy and let Ah Liu and Chiang Xiao continue talking while he prepared to go back and rest.

Upon reaching the courtyard, he noticed Cheng Cheng standing by the pond, had a thought, and waved him over.

Cheng Cheng approached.

”What instructions do you have, Old Master Jiang?”

”Your name is Cheng Cheng, right?”

”Yes.”

”How are things in The Third Alliance District?”

”I haven’t been there long, but it’s going well.”

”Good, work hard. I recall they’ll be reassigning two people there soon.” Old Master Jiang said and patted Cheng Cheng on the shoulder.

”By the way, even though you don’t change your surname, since you’re Little’s sworn brother, call me great-grandfather just like her.”

Cheng Cheng was taken aback.

”What, unwilling?”

”Thank you, great-grandfather.” Cheng Cheng immediately stood straight.

Old Master Jiang laughed heartily, ”Good, now, choose a spot from the remaining parts of the courtyard, but keep the best one for Little. After all, us gentlemen should give way to the young lady.”

”Understood.”

Cheng Cheng watched Old Master Jiang leave.

Chen Baoshen had Chen Yiping follow along and stayed behind for a while, waiting for Sixth Young Master to finish his call, as he needed to perform a check-up afterwards.

Chiang Xiao hung up the call and then dialed Meng Xinian.

Fortunately, he answered this time, having deliberately stayed in the office waiting.

Chiang Xiao briefly recounted the situation in D State and mentioned her upcoming name change.

Meng Xinian also felt she was right in choosing to change to Chiang Xiao; he had already gotten used to calling her Jiang Xiaoxiao, so in the future, is it to be Chiang Xiaoxiao?

It still rolls off the tongue smoothly.

”Change your student records and ID first. You don’t really need to trouble the lady, let grandfather handle it. He’s familiar with the people in charge.”

Old Meng?

Chiang Xiao thought about it and found it feasible. The Chief Alliance Officer’s Wife was too busy; they’d previously asked for help in buying a car, even though it was just a word from them, it still had to be passed down layers, making it less direct.

Moreover, it kept people guessing her identity, treating her as mysterious.

It’s more straightforward for Old Meng to take her there directly.
