Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1886: Chapter 1822: Handsome Young Man

The matter is settled just like that.

After class in the afternoon, Chiang Xiao took Cheng Qiulian to the shop.

As soon as they arrived on the street, Cheng Qiulian exclaimed in surprise, ”Here? It looks pretty good. I heard a teacher talking about this street before, saying it’s getting busier and will definitely become the best place to stroll in the Capital City. Now it seems she’s quite right.”

Chiang Xiao raised her eyebrows.

It seems that teacher truly had some foresight.

This place will indeed become the busiest and most prosperous commercial street in the Capital City in the future.

”Yes, so, teacher’s wife, we should work hard, and business will definitely be booming with profits rolling in.” Chiang Xiao led her to the shop front and opened the door with a key.

”In the future, the money you make will be more than your teacher’s.”

Cheng Qiulian couldn’t help but laugh.

She looked over the shop, feeling even more surprised.

She initially thought Chiang Xiao would open a small shop, but she never expected it would be this big!

The facade was already quite classic and grand, and upon entering, it felt even more nostalgically elegant, with an antique charm and sophistication. There was a duplex second floor, and the wooden staircase exuded a subtle luxury due to the meticulously carved banisters.

A few Orchid paintings hung on the walls. Although they were just paintings, there was an inexplicable sense of a faint fragrance wafting in the air, making one feel refreshed and uplifted.

On one side of the first floor, there were rows of counters and shelves, all made of wood and glass, with intricate carvings evident in the details.

Further in were neatly arranged wooden tables and chairs, which naturally brought a sense of peace and serenity.

”It’s really beautiful,” Cheng Qiulian immediately liked the place. ”It’s definitely going to be very comfortable and happy to sit here, drink tea, chat, and enjoy some snacks during free time.”

”Right, teacher’s wife, so when we open the shop, we need to pay attention to the atmosphere and not let customers make loud noises.” Chiang Xiao pointed to a corner, ”I’m planning to hire someone to play the guqin there.”

”Hire someone to play in the shop?”

”Yes,” Chiang Xiao blinked and said, ”On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we’ll have a beautiful young lady in traditional dress play, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, we’ll have a handsome young man. What do you think?”

Cheng Qiulian laughed and nudged her forehead with her finger, ”And a handsome young man, huh? Aren’t you afraid Commander Meng will get mad?”

This girl’s words are truly amusing.

What beautiful young lady, what handsome young man?

Chiang Xiao touched her forehead and said, ”I’m not going to do anything with a handsome young man, why would he get mad? However, if Meng Xinian were willing to guest here, just sitting there without moving, it could probably attract quite a few customers for me.”

That guy’s looks are just too high.

”Haha, then why don’t you come yourself on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and have Commander Meng on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays? You two are already quite the attraction; why hire others?”

This will take quite a bit of money to hire people.

Chiang Xiao stuck out her tongue and said, ”If I dared to sit there myself to attract customers, he really would get mad.”

The two of them chatted while looking around. Chiang Xiao wiped her hand on the furniture; since the last cleanup, there wasn’t much dust here, which was a good thing.

There’s not as much dust in this era.

After Cheng Qiulian finished her tour, she truly fell in love with the place — no matter how you look at it, working here every day would definitely be great for one’s mood.

Moreover, the tea and snacks Chiang Xiao made, which she and Liu Guoying had enjoyed for years, were known for their exquisite quality and taste. They would certainly not worry about a lack of customers.

”I think we should put a vase of flowers on each table, and also place some green plants in these corners...” she immediately got into gear.
