Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1814: Chapter 1750: Ecstatic

Meng Xinian looked firmly at Ah Liu and said, ”Besides, I’ve already discussed it with Little. After we get married, we won’t have kids right away; we’ll wait until she’s twenty and see, follow her wishes. We could also wait until she graduates; I’m not in a hurry.”

Upon hearing this, Old Meng was a bit anxious.

You may not be in a hurry, but we are.

How can we not have kids first?

Already twenty-five, and still no kids?

If Little wants to wait until graduation to have kids, then wouldn’t Meng Xinian be nearly thirty when he becomes a dad?

Although Old Meng felt anxious, at this moment, he didn’t dare to hinder Meng Xinian at all.

Moreover, it wouldn’t work even if he tried.

Does he have any say over his grandson now?

Alright then, let’s get the granddaughter-in-law settled first, and later try to persuade Little. Having a child at twenty is fine. I heard girls recover better when they have kids earlier.

Old Meng thought a lot but could only agree verbally, ”Yes, yes, we’ll follow Little’s plan, whatever she arranges, we have no objections.”

Ah Liu raised his eyebrows slightly, looked at Chiang Xiao, and gave her a look saying ”Good daughter, well done.”

Nowadays, which elder isn’t eager for the family’s daughters-in-law and granddaughters-in-law to have children early? Old Meng also seemed anxious to hold a great-grandson, yet he was able to say such things, showing they really want Chiang Xiao to marry into the Meng Family.

Was there something between Little and the Meng Family before?

”Little, what do you think? Did you agree to marry at eighteen?” Ah Liu looked at Chiang Xiao.

He just wanted to hear her true feelings.

Though he didn’t quite approve of her marrying so soon, before he came, it was Meng Xinian who was always by her side. Honestly, even as her father, he had no right to intervene.

So, as long as Little wants to marry, he wouldn’t oppose it.

Meng Xinian held Chiang Xiao’s hand tightly.

Chiang Xiao felt his palm was a bit sweaty, on such a cold day...

Was he nervous?

Chiang Xiao pursed her lips and said, ”Dad, I did promise Brother Xinian to marry at eighteen.”

”But it’s not about promises, do you truly want to marry him?”

Chiang Xiao looked at Meng Xinian.

He also looked at her, his eyes deep.

Chiang Xiao nodded, ”Yes. Dad, I hope to receive your blessing.”

Meng Xinian’s heart settled back in place, and he sighed with relief.

Chiang Xiaoxiao agreed.

Ah Liu smiled lightly.

”Of course, as long as it’s what you wish, Dad obviously blesses you both.”

”Uncle Six, you agree?” Meng Xinian was ecstatic.

Old Meng was also very pleased.

His visit this time, strictly speaking, was not very polite, not only coming at mealtime but also without prior notice, just an abrupt visit.

Originally, he didn’t expect success in one meeting, just came to test the waters, expecting to visit several times, but unexpectedly, one visit was enough.

Little’s dad is truly a straightforward man!

And he’s articulate and polite, doesn’t seem like a rural boor.

Although Little has an extremely unreliable mother, her dad turned out to be quite good.

Ah Liu saw they were all overjoyed and smiled slightly, ”As long as you can fulfill what you just promised, I naturally have no reason to oppose. However, January Sixth might be a bit too soon?”

With less than a month and a half left, can he prepare all the dowry for Little?

Ah Liu suddenly felt a bit anxious.

It seems he needs to try to recover quickly.

”January Sixth is indeed a bit early,” Meng Xinian immediately said, ”But we’re just registering for marriage first, not holding a ceremony, not setting up a banquet, really nothing to prepare.”
