After closing his eyes, Yuan immediately began his mental simulations, and for the next several hours, he’d craft the treasure again and again until he felt prepared.

He opened his eyes and stood up before approaching the anvil. He then reached underneath the anvil, retrieving an emerald-colored spatial ring.

Inside the spatial ring were countless priceless materials that Tian Qiyuan had collected over the years as the God of Creation.

Being one of the most experienced and skilled God of Creation in history, he’d easily racked up unfathomable wealth. However, he’d spent pretty much all of that wealth to purchase more materials and to create this world.

After confirming that he had plenty of materials to work with, even if he failed a few times, Yuan declared, ”I am going to start now.”

”How is he supposed to forge treasures without any fire?” Mu Xuelian asked with a puzzled expression.

Although she was not a blacksmith herself, she still understood the basics. Yet from the appearance of the chamber, there was neither a furnace nor even the slightest trace of flames.

”In the past, he had a helper produce the flames. Unfortunately, she’s not available right now. That being said, he has his own ways...” Zi Xuan replied.

The next moment, Yuan gestured toward the golden wheel hanging on the wall, causing it to fly into the air and hover directly above the anvil.

Yuan then infused the golden wheel with his spiritual energy, causing it to slowly begin spinning.

At first, its rotation was sluggish, but it rapidly accelerated until it became nothing more than a golden blur.

At that moment, Yuan retrieved a material from his spatial ring and placed it atop the anvil.

He then raised the black hammer high into the air, and just before he brought it down, the spinning golden wheel suddenly erupted with flames.

Like a blazing waterfall, the fire poured down from above, engulfing the anvil and Yuan’s entire figure.

”What the—?!” Mu Xuelian cried out loud after seeing this, startled by the unexpected turn of events.

Then, Yuan swung the hammer down and struck the material resting on the anvil.

A crisp ’ting’ echoed throughout the chamber, while the surrounding flames exploded outward from the impact, scattering across the room like a fiery storm.

”Heavens!” Mu Xuelian shouted loudly as she instinctively jumped backward upon seeing the flames surge toward them. In contrast, Zi Xuan remained perfectly still.

Just as the raging fire reached the entrance of the chamber, it abruptly stopped, blocked by an invisible barrier.

”I stopped you from going inside for a reason,” Zi Xuan remarked without looking away from the scene.

Clang! Ting! Clang!

Yuan moved with a rhythmic flow, each strike of his hammer producing sounds that blended together like a mesmerizing piece of music.

After refining the first material, Yuan retrieved another from his spatial ring and fused it together with the refined piece.

All the while, he remained constantly engulfed in the blazing flames pouring down from above. Fortunately, due to his Fire Harmony, the flames could not harm him in the slightest.

In the past, Tian Qiyuan had acquired his Fire Immunity purely through blacksmithing, having spent countless years working amidst unbearable heat day and night.

Two days later, the golden wheel suddenly started spinning in the opposite direction, and instead of producing flames, it collected them instead.

Soon, it cleared all the fire in the room, allowing Mu Xuelian and Zi Xuan to see inside the chamber clearly.

Meanwhile, Yuan picked up the fist-sized object on the anvil and inspected it.

”Let’s just call it Nameless Stairway,” he muttered with a satisfied smile on his face, and he tossed it into his spatial ring.

”Are we done now?” Mu Xuelian asked him.

Yuan shook his head and said, ”No, we’re just getting started.”

”What do you mean?” she raised her eyebrows in a puzzled manner.

”I still need to be upgraded,” Zi Xuan said as she entered the chamber.

However, Yuan quickly said, ”Not yet. I am going to craft several more treasures before I work on you.”

”Huh?” Zi Xuan halted in her steps, looking dumbfounded.

”What else do you need to make?” she then asked.

”Some treasures for a few friends,” he replied with a smile.

Since he was in the perfect situation and had plenty of materials, he might as well craft some treasures for Meixiu and the other members of the Demon Sealing Faction.

”Oh... Okay...”

Without wasting another moment, Yuan immediately returned to crafting more treasures.

A few days later, a small mountain of Celestial-grade treasures appeared beside Yuan.

”Alright, this should be enough,” he muttered as he casually tossed them into his spatial ring.

”Is it finally time for my upgrade?” Zi Xuan asked.

Yuan looked at her and nodded with a smile.

”Finally!”

Zi Xuan immediately flew into the chamber and sat on top of the anvil.

”Do I need to leave the sword while you work on it? Or can I remain inside while you upgrade it?”

”Of course you’ll need to leave,” Yuan replied with a sigh. ”There’s a chance it might damage your soul if you remained, and I am not going to risk that.”

”Fine...” Zi Xuan replied with a reluctant look on her face.

A moment later, she reverted to her sword form before emerging from it.

”This is my first time leaving the sword after becoming its spirit,” she said in a saddened voice before leaving the chamber.

Yuan retrieved the material he planned on using to upgrade Number One Under Heaven and examined it.

”Infinite Obisidian... I will need to study this material a little before I use it,” he mumbled to himself.

The material Yuan intended to use to upgrade Number One Under Heaven was none other than Infinite Obsidian, a mysterious material he had obtained from the Refined Obsidian Dragon during his visit to the Primal Expanse.
