Supreme Warrior in the City

This person looked at Su Yang with a bit of confusion, with some despair in his eyes, as well as reluctance. But more than anything, he was bewildered because he did not know Su Yang.

However, Su Yang knew him. Because this person was the old man Su Yang had rescued from the dungeon of the Heavenly War Alliance.

At that time, this old man was completely exhausted, thrown into the dungeon for who knows how many years, entirely waiting to die inside. Until Su Yang rescued him, he was given a new lease on life. However, after reviving, the old man did not linger by Su Yang’s side, but immediately went to seek revenge on the Heavenly War Alliance.

It was also this old man who told Su Yang about farming matters, and it was he who gave Su Yang a preliminary understanding of this Great World.

The three Crystal Skulls beside him looked at Su Yang, utterly astonished: ”How come, you know him?”

Only then did Su Yang remember that he was now in the guise of the Heavenly Phenomenon Saint Emperor, and naturally, this person would not recognize him.

However, Su Yang did not change his appearance in front of this person, because changing his appearance would reveal the news of Heaven Slayer, something he dared not do casually.

Taking a deep breath, Su Yang looked at the person and said softly, ”Your name is Chaos!”

After that incident, Su Yang received news from the Demon Beast Clan and guessed this person’s name was Chaos.

Chaos took a deep breath and said in surprise, ”You know me?”

”I know of you.” Su Yang smiled and said, ”I have a friend who knows you.”

”Your friend?” Chaos was even more surprised: ”I don’t recall having any Demon Beast friends?”

”My friend is from the Human Clan!” Su Yang stated directly.

”Ah?” Chaos widened his eyes, truly unable to comprehend the situation. A Demon Beast before him actually had a Human Clan friend, what on earth was going on?

Su Yang did not explain much to Chaos, directly flying to Chaos’s side, looking over Chaos’s injuries, his brow furrowed.

For a Saint Emperor, getting injured is not considered a too serious matter. As long as there is enough Spiritual Energy, no matter how severe the injury, it can be healed.

However, Chaos’s situation this time was different. He was not only grievously injured, but the most crucial thing was, his body was embedded with a considerable amount of power, which was continually eroding his body.

Given Chaos suffered such severe wounds, his rate of absorbing Spiritual Energy naturally slowed considerably. And the speed at which this power was eroding his body far exceeded his rate of absorbing Spiritual Energy. Hence, it led him into despair where the speed he absorbed Spiritual Energy to repair the body was far slower than the power eroding his body. Meaning, no matter how he absorbed Spiritual Energy, his injuries would only worsen, not alleviate in the slightest.

”How could this happen?” Su Yang frowned and asked, it was the first time he had seen such an injury.

Chaos also didn’t know what identity Su Yang held, nor could he understand how the Demon Beast Clan and the Human Clan became friends. But, having fallen to this point, he was just waiting here to die; there wasn’t much point in guarding against Su Yang anymore. Hence, he thoroughly relaxed his vigilance.

Even if Su Yang indeed deceived him, what would it matter? Having fallen this far, he was near death, worried Su Yang might kill him?

”It’s left by the founder of the Heavenly War Alliance, Gu Venerable!” Chaos said solemnly.

”How could there be such a strange injury?” Su Yang asked curiously.

”This is Gu Venerable’s Secret Technique…” Chaos took a deep breath: ”A kind of Gu Worm that can attach to power. Once it merges with a person’s power, it will completely parasitize within a person’s power. Unless all these Gu Worms are eradicated, otherwise, they will incessantly erode the body until nothing is left, leading to death and soul vanquishing!”

”Gu Worm?” Su Yang was astonished, as the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book also recorded some information on Gu Worms. However, it did not record such strange Gu Worms, which puzzled Su Yang.

In principle, the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book was left behind by Heaven Slayer, recording miraculous Secret Techniques from the Three Thousand Great Worlds. It could be said that any relatively peculiar or powerful Secret Techniques would be documented within.

Such Gu Worms belonged to more powerful and peculiar Gu Worms; ideally, they should be recorded in the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book. But why were they not? Was this Secret Technique created by Gu Venerable himself?

”With such Gu Worms, Gu Venerable’s power shouldn’t be weak!” Su Yang stated: ”Then why was he defeated by the Guardian God, and his Heavenly War Alliance crushed?”

”Gu Venerable’s Gu Worm is unique, but it doesn’t mean his power is strong.” Chaos replied: ”Moreover, for these Gu Worms to merge with a person’s power is very troublesome too. Gu Venerable could only use it on those far weaker than him; when dealing with those of similar power, these Gu Worms were practically useless!”

”I see!” Su Yang realized: ”Then is there any way to resolve these Gu Worms?”

Chaos glanced at Su Yang, a bit amazed inside. Seeing Su Yang in the form of a Demon Beast, he thought it was fortunate for Su Yang not to kill him. Who would have thought Su Yang intended to save him, what exactly was going on?

”You… you want to save me?” Chaos asked in astonishment.

”Yes!” Su Yang said: ”Didn’t I mention, I have a Human Clan friend who’s very familiar with you, he brought you up before me. So, given your situation now, I can’t stand by without helping!”

”Your… your that… that friend, how is he addressed?” Chaos hurriedly asked, truly shocked. A Human Clan person indeed friends with the Demon Beast Clan?

”Uh…” Su Yang scratched his head: ”This… I’m afraid is inconvenient to tell you. You are aware though, a friendship between Human Clan and Demon Beast Clan isn’t appropriate. Once my friend’s identity is leaked, it will bring endless trouble to him.”

Chaos slowly nodded, and this point he could comprehend. Transmitting such news, even the Guardian God might be astonished, it was normal for Su Yang to refuse stating that person’s name.

”There are only two methods to resolve these Gu Worms.” Chaos said: ”The first is for Gu Venerable to come and retrieve these Gu Worms himself, the second is to use strong power to annihilate these Gu Worms!”

The first method was certainly out of the question, Su Yang said: ”What level of power is needed to annihilate these Gu Worms?”

Chaos shook his head: ”I don’t know either, but the power definitely needs to be somewhat stronger than Gu Venerable’s. Otherwise, if the Gu Worms couldn’t be annihilated, they would counterattack. At that time, the person who acts will be entangled by these Gu Worms, which would be extremely dangerous!”
