Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang had an excited expression on his face: ”There is no trap. I’ve been following her for a while. She hid when no one was paying attention. People around here are running everywhere, who’s there to protect her? I think they just got scattered. It’s not a trap at all. Besides, with so many of us around here, what are we afraid of?”

Fang Zishu glanced at Su Yang. Although he didn’t know the exact situation, what Su Yang had just described was somewhat convincing.

The scene was so chaotic, and their people were everywhere. Even if there was a trap, it would be useless. Whatever trap there was, their people could quickly come to help.

Moreover, even if there was a trap, he would put Su Yang in front to take the hit. With his own strength, escaping wouldn’t be a problem.

However, if he could capture Ye Wantong, that would be a credit almost as great as capturing Su Yang. Such a significant merit was worth the risk.

”Take me there!” Fang Zishu said in a deep voice.

”Alright!” Su Yang quickly nodded and hurriedly led Fang Zishu to the other side.

The two were not slow, and they soon turned to the foot of a mountain. Fang Zishu saw some top cultivators from his side passing by, which reassured him even more.

Even if there is a trap here, their people could rush to the rescue in no time. He had nothing to worry about.

”It’s right here.” Su Yang pointed to the mountain wall ahead and whispered, ”There’s a cave here. It’s blocked, but I saw her go in with my own eyes just now.”

Fang Zishu scanned the area and sensed an aura of power. There was indeed a cave here. Inside the cave, there was an aura that wasn’t exactly weak, but Fang Zishu was confident he could defeat the opponent.

Fang Zishu didn’t know Ye Wantong personally, so he couldn’t be sure if the aura was hers. However, at this moment, whoever it was didn’t matter; capturing one of Su Yang’s side was worth the trip!

Of course, for safety, Fang Zishu didn’t rush in directly. Instead, he said in a deep voice, ”You go in and scout the way. I’ll cover you from behind!”

”Huh?” Su Yang turned his head, looking at Fang Zishu with a stunned expression, as if he was completely bewildered by Fang Zishu’s words.

If this were the real Zhao He, he would definitely have the same reaction. Going in first, was that scouting? That was a death sentence!

Fang Zishu completely ignored Su Yang’s expression. To him, a cultivator of this kind of strength was insignificant. So what if he made him scout? He wouldn’t dare refuse, would he?

”What are you ’huh’-ing about? Get in there!” Fang Zishu glared at him, feeling no gratitude for Su Yang leading the way.

”It’s not that, Lord Fang, I… my strength is far inferior to the other’s. Going in is very dangerous...” Su Yang quickly said. He still had to lure Fang Zishu in, so he had to make the act convincing.

”I’m covering you from here. What danger could there be?” Fang Zishu glared.

Su Yang sneered inwardly—if there was real danger, you’d run faster than anyone else, and your cover wouldn’t be worth anything.

”Lord Fang, why don’t we go in together...” Su Yang continued to act, ensuring Fang Zishu wouldn’t suspect him.

”I told you to go, so just go! Why so much nonsense!” Fang Zishu shouted angrily. Su Yang’s performance left him without any suspicion, never realizing that the person before him wasn’t Zhao He at all.

”But I...” Su Yang was about to speak, but Fang Zishu had already grabbed his neck and directly threw him towards the mountain wall ahead.

A huge rock was blocking the cave entrance on the mountain wall. Fang Zishu threw Su Yang, instantly shattering the rock and sending Su Yang into the cave.

Immediately, a scream came from inside the cave, followed by the aura of Sword Qi crisscrossing everywhere.

Fang Zishu watched intently from outside, listening to Su Yang’s screams and the crisscrossing Sword Qi, he could essentially guess the situation inside.

Su Yang had managed to hold on for this long without dying, which indicated the person inside wasn’t very strong. Along with the Sword Qi, he was confident that the person inside was definitely not his match.

Thus, Fang Zishu did not hesitate any longer and rushed into the cave.

When he passed the cave entrance, Fang Zishu felt something strange. But he quickly saw Ye Wantong standing inside the cave and Su Yang lying on the ground, a cold smile flashing in his eyes.

He hadn’t faced Ye Wantong head-on before, but he’d seen her photos. The person in front of him was indeed Ye Wantong. This time, he was going to achieve great merit!

”Hahaha...” Fang Zishu laughed coldly, walking step by step towards Ye Wantong: ”Miss Ye, we truly have fate. To meet here of all places, why don’t you just surrender? I might plead with the Divine Master to spare your life!”

Ye Wantong’s expression was icy. She gritted her teeth, not saying a word, as she clutched her longsword tightly, apparently ready to fight Fang Zishu to the end.

Fang Zishu coldly chuckled again: ”Miss Ye, to be honest, you’re no match for me. Fighting to the death with me is meaningless. A beauty like you, why resort to life and death battles?”

Ye Wantong slowly raised her longsword, pointing at Fang Zishu from a distance: ”We’ll find out if it’s meaningless after the fight!”

With that, the longsword in Ye Wantong’s hand suddenly glowed, as if ready to explode at any moment.

Fang Zishu couldn’t help but become vigilant. Although Ye Wantong was not as strong as him, she wasn’t that weak either. At times like this, he really had to guard against a desperate counterattack.

But just as all his attention was focused on Ye Wantong, a sudden intense sense of danger surged from behind. Before Fang Zishu could react, someone slammed a palm onto his back, causing him to fall straight to the ground, coughing up several mouthfuls of blood as his face instantly became sallow.

Fang Zishu turned his head in a panic, only to see Su Yang standing not far behind him, looking at him with a smile.

Fang Zishu was stunned. He couldn’t believe it—it was his own side that had attacked him. And the most crucial part was, wasn’t this person supposed to be very weak? How suddenly did he become so strong?

”Zhao He, what... what are you doing?” Fang Zishu said in a trembling voice: ”Do you know what the consequences of this action will be? The Divine Master will never let you off!”

Su Yang laughed: ”Fang Zishu, how come you still don’t get it? I’m not Zhao He at all!”

”What!?” Fang Zishu’s face changed drastically. He widened his eyes and trembled as he said, ”You’re not Zhao He, then... who are you?”
