Moonfire Bride: The One they all betrayed...till she awakened

~I’m being forced to marry Emmett of Riverrock in five days for an alliance. After the wedding, I know Conan would try something. I need you to be there. I want you to kill him. With Conan dead, Emmett would pose much of a problem for us. I can count on you, right?

Beatrice, your love~

Beatrice couldn’t breathe the entire time. She had terribly wished a miracle would happen and the paper would suddenly disappear along with everyone’s memories.

Because how the hell did it get to this?

Just when she thought she would walk out of this alive, someone had sabotaged everything.

Every head turned toward her the moment Nigel finished reading the letter, and Beatrice’s brain was working as fast as it could, thinking of an excuse to get herself out of this madness.

She couldn’t find any.

”I don’t know what that letter is.” She finally blurted out, plastering on an innocent look still, ”Alpha, I never wrote such a thing,”

Nigel looked down at it again.

”Anyone could have copied it!” She added, ”Anyone could have copied my handwriting, please. You have to believe me,”

Leo suddenly looked at Beatrice, and she badly wanted to glare at him. He was the reason she was in this stupid mess for bringing that letter! Also, she was worried he might decide to rant her out since she had claimed she had nothing to do with them.

Conan took the letter from Nigel and also read it. He went through every single letter she had written, and compared it to her handwriting.

He knew exactly how she writes. He knew her handwriting from just one glance, and this was it.

”You’ve been exposed, Beatrice,”

Her face went even paler. ”No!” Beatrice scrambled backwards. ”I didn’t! Alpha, please. You need to believe me. I—”

”You sent them.” His voice was eerily low and dark.

”I didn’t!”

”You planned this.”

”I didn’t!”

Conan suddenly grabbed her wrist, and Beatrice cried out. ”You lying little bitch.”

”Alpha, please!”

”Did you think you could send your brother and your former husband into my chambers to kill me and then sit in the corner pretending to be a helpless little wife?”

”I swear I didn’t!”

Leo pulled violently against his chains and growled, ”Get your hands off her!”

Conan didn’t let go. Instead, his palm went out, and Beatrice’s face was whipped to the other side as he delivered a dirty slap to her face.

”I can’t believe you almost tricked me!” He spat.

She fell to the floor, holding her imprinted face with trembling hands as she kept scurrying away from him.

”You and your brother...,” Conan sneered, ”And your Pack entirely would pay the price!”

”Touch her again, and I swear to God I would make you regret it!!” Leo snapped once again, his eyes glowing red with anger.

”You must be mental somewhere in the head,” Conan said and turned back to him, ”You still try to protect her after she just tried to save herself? Don’t you see she’s just a self-centred bitch who hates everyone else?! She’s the type who would gladly throw everyone around her into flames if it means saving herself!”

”Stop fucking calling her names!” Leo spat too, still dragging his hands against the chains.

Four guards held the other end as hard as they could to make sure his wolf didn’t rip the thing out of their grip.

Conan turned to Nigel, ”Take them to the dungeons!!”

The guards instantly moved and apprehended the two men on their knees.

Jaime hadn’t said a word at all. His eyes slowly moved to his sister’s haunted ones to see that one of her eyes was twitching again. The guards kept dragging him away, but he made sure he met her gaze with his own vicious ones.

He was very disappointed in her.

Beatrice kept shaking in the corner, holding her swollen cheeks as she watched the men get dragged away. She was still waiting to wake up from this terrible dream.

Two guards walked up to her, and she immediately started to struggle against them. They clamped down on both her hands and legs and started to drag her out of the room.

”No!!” She yelled, twisting and fighting, ”Don’t touch me! Don’t fucking touch me!!”

”Don’t touch her,”

Everyone paused.

Conan had just spoken.

Beatrice froze, then she slowly looked at the older man.

”Leave her. Focus on the other two,” He added.

”Yes, Alpha,” The guards let go of her, and she fell to the ground with a curse on her lips.

They both bowed to their Alpha, and then they left the room and closed the door behind them.

Beatrice remained staring at the ground, wondering what she was supposed to do now. Should she keep up the innocent act and try to manipulate her way out of this disaster, or she should just let out the madness since everything was already out of the bag?

Feet stepped into view, and her hands tightened into balls of fists.

Conan.

If she had a dagger on her, she would take her chance and stab him right now.

Fortunately...she did.

Beatrice moved incredibly fast.

She pulled out the dagger she’d brought all the way from IronRidge from her nightdress, and with a nasty growl, she stabbed the man right into the calf.

Conan snarled back in pain and surprise, not expecting that from her.

Beatrice yanked the dagger out of his nose, and he stumbled back. Then, she decided to make a run for it.

Her breathing was tense and loud as she stood up and started to run, but the Alpha didn’t let her go.

He grabbed a fistful of her hair, as tight as his large palms could go, and then he pulled her backwards in a rough yank.

She fell backwards with a gasp of pain, pretty sure the man had pulled out several strands of hair from that wicked motion.

Before she could stand up, Conan was already sitting on top of her. He grabbed her arm as she tried to stab him again, then he twisted her wrist.

She cried in pain, and the dagger slipped off her hand and fell to the side.

The Alpha kicked it far away, then he completely pinned her down and stared down at her with a cruel, lustful expression on his face, ”You are trapped, Beatrice,”

”No!!”

A palm came across her cheek again, and she was pretty sure she might have lost a tooth from that slap.

Then, he grabbed her face and squeezed hard, forcing her to look straight into his eyes, ”I am going to fuck you all night long, Beatrice.”

He was grinning so bad, and his eyes were nothing but big orbs of unquenchable, lustful machines, ”And no one will save you from what I’m going to do to your beautiful body,”

She wanted to scream.
