Moonfire Bride: The One they all betrayed...till she awakened

Conan immediately pulled away from Beatrice, and his eyes snapped toward the door.

Leopold stood there. His chest was rising and falling heavily, his eyes locked on Conan.

Jaime was right behind him, and both men had their claws out.

”You.” Leopold growled angrily.

Conan’s brows lifted, ”Alpha Leopold?”

Leo didn’t answer. Instead, he charged.

Conan barely managed to move out of the way before Leo’s claws slashed through the air where his face had been.

The Alpha snarled, and his own claws came out instantly. He grabbed Leo’s wrist and twisted. Leo grunted, and Conan slammed his fist into his face.

Blood immediately burst from Leo’s nose, and he stumbled backwards.

Jaime rushed forward too, then Conan turned and swung at him, ”I should have known you would come!”

Jaime ducked, and then his claws ripped across Conan’s side instead, ”Keep your disgusting dick away from my sister!”

Conan roared, and the sound shook the entire chamber.

Meanwhile, Beatrice had backed away from the three fighting men. She stood there in a safe corner, rubbing aggressively over her abused lips. She could still taste the goddamn man there, ”Ugh! He kissed me!” She shrieked in a whisper.

Conan wiped the blood from his side and looked at the two men, ”You came into my territory to assassinate me?”

He looked between the two of them and laughed. Did they really think this through?!

”You’re not leaving this room alive.” Jaime said.

Conan’s eyes narrowed and he soon realised there weren’t any guards nearby. Looks like they had planned this thoroughly.

”You really think you can kill me?” Conan laughed.

Jaime charged again, and Conan met him halfway.

Their bodies crashed together, and Jaime’s claws struck Conan’s shoulder. Conan grabbed him by the throat, and he lifted him off the ground.

Jaime’s feet kicked against the floor, and Conan snarled into his face. ”You arrogant little pup. You really thought you could protect your sister from me?”

”Let... go...”

Conan squeezed harder, and Leo attacked from behind.

His claws tore across Conan’s back, and Conan roared and released Jaime. Jaime fell hard onto the floor, and he immediately rolled away.

Conan and Leo’s claws collided, and they stared at each other for a moment. Leo was halfway transformed into a wolf, his gaze nothing short of murderous.

Conan knew he had to be very careful fighting anyone from Eclipse Crown, especially the young Alpha.

”You sick bastard,” Leo growled as they crashed, ”What the hell gave you the right to touch her?!”

”And what gives you one to be jealous?” Conan retorted with a smirk, ”Aren’t you both divorced?”

”She’s supposed to be your daughter-in-law,” Leo pounced on him again, and his claws ripped through the man’s cheek, leaving four deep streaks of red, ”Not your new little fuck!”

A slow smile appeared on Conan’s face, his face dripping with blood, ”So?”

Leo’s claws lengthened even more, ”You shouldn’t have.”

He attacked, and this time, he was faster.

Much faster.

Conan blocked his first strike, and Leo twisted. His claws caught Conan’s chest, and blood sprayed.

Conan growled in both pain and fury, then he grabbed Leo by the arm and swung him into the wall.

The impact shook the room, and Conan rushed forward again. His claws were aimed straight at Leo’s throat, but Jaime intercepted him.

He slammed into Conan from the side, and the three Alpha-blooded men crashed onto the floor.

Conan rolled and kicked Jaime away while Leo pushed himself from the wall.

His eyes were red, and Jaime glanced at him. ”Keep him busy.”

Leo nodded.

Jaime went first, rushing toward Conan. Conan’s wolf rose beneath his skin, and his eyes flashed.

His canines lengthened, and his claws became thicker. The air seemed to change around him.

He was an Alpha.

A powerful one.

And he wasn’t going to let two young wolves walk into his territory and murder him.

Jaime’s claws struck, and Conan blocked.

Leo attacked from behind, and Conan twisted at the last second. Leo’s claws scraped across his back though and Conan snarled.

He turned toward Leo, and Jaime quickly took the opportunity. His claws dug into Conan’s arm, but Conan punched him across the face and he stumbled.

The three wolves moved around the room like wild animals.

Furniture was knocked over, curtains were ripped from their rods, and blood stained the floor.

Beatrice was getting frustrated. Why the hell was it taking them so long to fucking kill the man? Each time they got close to delivering a lethal blow, Conan would intercept and land another hit.

Were the two of them really that useless?!

Jaime attacked again, and Conan caught his wrist.

His claws sank into Jaime’s skin, and Jaime gritted his teeth.

”You should have brought an army.” Conan whispered with a bloody smile.

Jaime stared directly into his eyes. ”We only need two men.”

He headbutted Conan with all his might, and Conan staggered back. Jaime ripped his arm free just as Leo came charging from behind.

His claws sank into Conan’s shoulder, and Conan roared as he was shoved forward.

Leo attacked again too, and this time, his claws ripped deeply across Conan’s back.

Conan stumbled, and blood poured down his shirt.

He turned, but Leo was already there. He punched him across the face, and Conan’s head snapped to the side. Leo then grabbed his shirt and slammed him into the wall. ”She’s not your fucking toy.” He snarled.

”You think you’re going to lecture me in my own home?” Conan growled, then opened his mouth.

They all saw it coming.

He was about to howl and announce it to the whole castle that he was under attack.

Probably because he had determined he couldn’t take care of them on his own anymore.

They both sank their claws into his shoulders, forcing him down on both knees. Jaime quickly grabbed the first piece of clothing he could find and stuffed it down the Alpha’s throat before he could make any sound.

Conan struggled against Jaime.

His strength was almost frightening.

He threw his head forward, and it hit Jaime’s face.

The force almost sent Jaime flying, and Leo lost his grip.

Conan rolled away and pushed himself up, but the gag was still deep inside his throat. He was breathing heavily, his face was swollen, and his leg and shoulders were badly injured.

Conan reached up to pull the goddamn gag out but the other men charged again and they collided.

Jaime grabbed Conan’s arm, and Leo grabbed the other.

Together, they drove him to the floor.

Conan fought like a cornered beast.

He kicked.

He scratched.

He punched.

But the two young Alphas didn’t let go.

Jaime’s claws dug into his wrist, and Leo’s claws were at his throat.

”Do it!” Jaime shouted.

Leo instantly raised his hand, ready to deliver the killing blow. Beatrice’s eyes zoomed in on them, happiness about to explode through her.

This was it.

They had him.

Conan was pinned beneath them.

His body was battered, and his wolf was struggling.

There was nowhere left for him to run.

Leo’s claws came down at Conan’s neck, and then—

BANG!

The chamber doors exploded open, and everyone froze.

”ALPHA!”

Several armed guards stormed into the room, and Beatrice’s heart dropped.

No, no, no, no, no!!!!

Jaime’s head snapped toward the door, and Leo’s eyes widened.

Conan stared at his men flooding into his chambers, and a wicked grin spread across his face just as the gag was finally ripped off his face.

Behind him, Jaime and Leopold had been tackled and arrested by the tens of wolf guards that now filled the room.
