Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

”Minister, you know, I’m not really a direct combat type of fighter. Although I am a Grandmaster Martial Artist, my actual combat strength is still relatively weak.”

”My main attack methods are Poison Pets and the Gu Technique. Right now, most of my Poison Pets are basically dead, so I practically have no combat strength when facing others.”

”Minister, if the squad is disbanded, what should I do?”

”...”

Zhang Beixing gave her a deep look.

Zhang Beixing originally thought the first person to speak up would be Xu Feng, or Huang Hai, or even Wang Xinqi, perhaps Yu Yao.

He had never expected it would be Yin Mengwei, this girl who just turned eighteen not long ago.

Zhang Beixing cast a suspicious glance at the few people sitting nearby who didn’t dare to show any expression.

Suspecting if they instigated her.

The few people didn’t even bat an eyelid.

Forget it, they’re old hands now, too lazy to bother with them.

”Later, I will establish a new department in The Ninth Bureau, specifically responsible for drafting tasks, each task will be assessed, then specify the recommended number of people and the minimum required number of people.”

”For example, a task to annihilate a branch of the DE Organization, after roughly estimating the strength of this DE branch, a task may be issued recommending twelve people to participate, with a minimum of nine.”

”And temporary tasks will have a captain and a vice-captain. The captain will be the person who completed tasks most successfully and has the most points.”

”And the vice-captain will be the person with the strongest strength. If the captain encounters any issues, the vice-captain will take over the baton.”

”...”

Zhang Beixing finally laid out his plans for everyone to hear.

Yin Mengwei’s eyes flickered after hearing this plan.

It must be said, this future plan is the most friendly one for her.

As someone in a supporting role, she will absolutely be the type surrounded at the center in future missions.

And after completing many tasks and accumulating many points, she’ll become the captain in every subsequent task, able to personally control the progress of the entire mission.

Zhang Beixing looked at Yin Mengwei’s shining eyes and laughed to himself.

At a glance, he could see that she understood the benefits within his rules for her, but, oh boy, this girl wore her emotions too openly.

The squad hasn’t even been officially disbanded yet, and she’s already eager to try the new model.

Isn’t she worried about any petty-minded squad members?

What if they overthink it later?

Aren’t you afraid they might trip you up later?

Hmm...

Zhang Beixing glanced at these people again.

Forget it.

Xu Feng, Huang Hai, Wang Xinqi, none of them seemed like the type to bully young girls.

But Yu Yao...

Hmm... alright, alright, all right.

Let’s not mention her.

This woman wasn’t even listening seriously.

She was looking down, appearing as if admitting her mistakes, actually admiring her manicure, probably thinking about how to adjust her next nail design.

Just this, just this!

How could she get caught up in such petty scheming?

Alright, Zhang Beixing understood, it was all him overthinking things.

In this light, even if Yin Mengwei had a bit of ambition, it didn’t matter.

Internally, The Ninth Bureau was indeed quite harmonious.

At least, the Extraordinary Reserve Squad was like this.

Great, no need to weigh it myself, saved myself some trouble.

Zhang Beixing said, ”Currently, the people from the DE branch in this country have been sent back home in batches, you don’t need to stay abroad waiting anymore, go back and rest for a few days.”

”After I finalize the new rules, I’ll notify you separately.”

”Anyone have any questions? If not, meeting adjourned.”

”...”

Amidst the silence.

Only one person raised their hand.

It was Xu Feng.

Zhang Beixing displayed a look of unsurprised recognition.

After nodding at Xu Feng, Xu Feng stood up.

”Minister.”

His expression was very calm, but Zhang Beixing could see the hint of difficulty in his eyes.

This man has been dealing with a lot of internal conflict lately.

Continuously hesitating and struggling, it seems like today he’s ready to speak out.

”Minister, during that operation some time ago, I made a command error. After you arrived in the Willpower Country, you only temporarily removed me from the captain position, without any specific punishment.”

”I’ve been feeling uneasy about it, I hope you can impose a specific punishment on me, I was wrong, which truly caused the department to suffer losses.”

”Just as Yin Mengwei mentioned, her attack methods were basically rendered useless during the last operation, dealing a huge blow to her.”

”And it’s not just her; Huang Hai, Wang Xinqi, Yu Yao, and other team members also suffered varying degrees of losses, all due to my wrong decision.”

”And now, I’m the only one benefiting, having directly become a Great Grandmaster. Ironically, I’ve become the biggest beneficiary, which leaves me feeling truly uncomfortable.”

Xu Feng kept his head down.

He’s actually not that old.

Currently in his thirties, not even fully entering middle age yet.

The spirit of youth still exists within his heart.

He’s not someone battling in society; he has a martial police background.

That spirit of youth continues to thrive vigorously inside him.

He possesses his own stubbornness.

If this matter remains buried in his heart.

It will forever become a knot.

Zhang Beixing chuckled; it was the first time he laughed since arriving in the Willpower Country.

”Lifted high and let down lightly, yet you still aren’t satisfied? Tell me, what punishment do you want.”

Xu Feng’s eyes were resolute, ”Minister, I want you to send me to the most dangerous places to perform the most dangerous missions.”

”Now that I’m a Great Grandmaster, I also want to pave the way for a breakthrough into the Transcendent; I feel my journey can only be found through battles.”

Zhang Beixing nodded, ”Alright, since you’ve applied for it this way, I’ll consider it, but we’ll discuss this matter when we return.”

”The model I mentioned just now won’t change; in future, task-taking will still be the process.”

”For now, you all return home, and rest for a few days first.”

”Though you’ve become a Great Grandmaster, your control over Power is still quite weak. Just look at your desk.”

Everyone followed Zhang Beixing’s words and looked at his desk.

Sure enough, in the spots where his elbows just rested, there were sunken areas.

This wasn’t even done intentionally.

It was a manifestation of failure to control power.

Xu Feng currently couldn’t control his Power effectively.

This resulted in excessively strong Power leaking uncontrollably.

Actually, it’s quite good by now.

If this had been yesterday’s Xu Feng, these wouldn’t just be two sunken holes.

Instead, it would have resulted in the desk being forcibly snapped apart.

Xu Feng didn’t say anything more.

The others had nothing to add either.

Disappointment was inevitable.

The seven of them, who had been together as a team for several months.

Fought side by side from Asia to Europe.

Traverse so many countries, experienced life and death together many times.

But now that their strength has grown, they face disbandment, how can they not feel dejected?

Sometimes, there’s just no other way.

The failure of the previous operation also dealt them a significant blow.

They understand now that the current system has issues and needs change.

Being the first batch of members in The Ninth Bureau compelled them to face such matters.

Every initial creation of anything brings various changes.

Actually, they’d prepared for this scenario internally long ago.

Zhang Beixing didn’t make things difficult for them either.

”Alright, that’s enough for today, meeting adjourned.”
