Danmachi: The Focalors Familia Starting from the Dungeon

The extreme heat forced Riveria to erect a magical barrier at the tunnel entrance just to barely insulate them from the terrifying temperature.

At that exact moment, Aiden moved.

His silhouette accelerated instantly, turning into a golden blur impossible to track with the naked eye, completely vanishing from Udaeus’s field of vision.

He flashed right past Udaeus’s massive left hand, launching a surprise attack at its back from an inconceivable angle.

Udaeus twisted its colossal neck, the ghost fire in its hollow eye sockets just locking onto the golden light. Before it could even roar, countless pitch-black spear pillars erupted from the ground, sealing off every path it could predict.

But they missed.

Every single one missed.

Aiden was simply too fast now.

He seemed to embody pure golden light. Every sharp turn, every burst of acceleration was accompanied by an ear-piercing sonic boom, effortlessly tearing through the air and vanishing from Udaeus’s sight once more.

After leveling up to Level 5, all his accumulated Latent Abilities erupted completely.

Whether it was strength, speed, endurance, or magic, Aiden had already far surpassed adventurers of the same level.

Right now, even Allen Fromel, the ”Fastest in the City” holding the alias Vana Freya, could absolutely not compare to Aiden’s current speed in his base state without magic.

What was even more terrifying was that Aiden not only possessed ultimate speed but also unparalleled neural reflexes to match.

Even while moving fast enough to shatter the sound barrier, he maintained perfect balance, dodging every attack by a hair’s breadth while accurately seizing fleeting openings to launch godspeed slashes.

The countless black spears rising from the earth could only follow his trail and eat dust. They couldn’t even touch his afterimage, let alone harm him in the slightest.

Boom!

With a flash of gold, Aiden appeared right at the massive joint of Udaeus’s left shoulder.

The golden radiance condensed onto a single point on the blade of Godslayer: Surtr. The extreme heat made the blade itself scream in protest.

He brought the sword down.

There was no earth-shattering explosion, only a crisp sound akin to shattering glass.

The moment the blade touched the massive, deep-purple core joint, it was directly vaporized and melted by the ultra-high temperature. The colossal bone connecting the shoulder blade to the arm separated with a crash.

Oooohhhh!?

Only then did the delayed, agonizing pain reach Udaeus’s consciousness.

It let out a roar filled with shock and agony, its right arm swinging instinctively with enough force to crush mountains, violently swatting at its own left shoulder.

However, there was already no one there.

The gigantic skeletal palm smashed heavily against the shoulder blade, unleashing a deafening explosion. The shockwave flipped the surrounding ground, sending countless bone fragments and magma spraying in all directions.

On the other side of that dust-filled sky, the golden light flared again.

Aiden sprinted rapidly along Udaeus’s curved spine, the fiery sword in his hand leaving a long golden trail behind him.

The air shrieked piercingly, as if sliced apart by this absolute speed.

One segment, two segments, three segments...

Accompanied by a continuous, crisp series of shattering sounds, a string of core joints on Udaeus’s spine were severed one after another.

The deep purple lights extinguished in succession. The colossal spine subsequently lost its mobility, collapsing weakly.

The earth fractured, magma splattered. This entire massive hall had completely turned into the golden flash’s hunting ground.

”What a... terrifying monster.”

At the tunnel entrance, Riveria’s emerald eyes reflected the battlefield that had turned into a magma hell, and Aiden, who had become a golden flash above it.

She sighed softly in amazement. It was unclear if she was talking about the unstoppable Aiden, or Udaeus, who remained standing even after suffering such heavy damage.

Agony and rage made the ghost fire in Udaeus’s eye sockets dance madly.

It glared fiercely at the fast-moving golden speck on its body. To swat this annoying insect away, it even abandoned its pursuit, allowing countless thick black spears to erupt from the ground, thoroughly covering its massive skeletal frame to form an absolute domain of death.

Possessing considerable intelligence, the Floor Boss decisively chose the safest defense to buy time for its recovery.

As long as the central Magic Stone wasn’t destroyed, channeling magic from it would allow the destroyed core joints to revive in a short time.

However, those limbs that had been completely severed from the main body couldn’t be repaired even if the joints were restored.

But right at this moment, a terrifying sonic shockwave erupted outward from Udaeus in a violent ring.

Demon Lord Valion!

Aiden anticipated his opponent’s move. Just a split second before the black spears could engulf him, he preemptively unleashed his wide-area sonic magic, using the recoil to leap high into the air.

Yet, Udaeus’s true killing move had only just arrived.

It stood upright once more, opening its massive jawbone to let out a roar entirely different from before.

That horrifying soundwave wasn’t mere intimidation; it materialized into a physical impact, accurately locking onto Aiden in mid-air.

The shockwave landed a direct hit. The golden light around Aiden flickered violently. Like being struck by an invisible giant hammer, he was thrown backward helplessly, crashing back onto the distant magma floor.

With one successful strike, Udaeus didn’t pursue. Instead, it planted its hands on the ground and let out another eerie roar, as if calling out from the womb.

Then, right in Aiden’s field of vision as he stood back up, a massive number of Spartoi broke through the cracked ground, acting like cannon fodder guarding their king.

Skeleton warriors, wielding rusted swords, spears, and axes, surged toward Aiden fearlessly. The vermilion ghost fire burning in their eye sockets was identical to Udaeus’s. They were buying time for their king’s recovery.

Their numbers were so absurdly large that even Riveria and the others at the entrance were caught in the crossfire.

”Tch, annoying small fry.”

Watching the twenty-odd skeleton soldiers charging at them, Tiona clicked her tongue impatiently, but the massive double-bladed weapon in her hands hummed with excitement.

Without a word, Ais was already moving forward. Her sword flashed, and the leading skeleton soldiers were instantly reduced to shattered bones.

These skeletal soldiers were absolutely not weaklings; the Latent Abilities of every single one reached at least Level 4.

Over a hundred Level 4 monsters surrounded Aiden completely from all directions.

He was bogged down by this overwhelming number.
