Beastmaster of the Ages

The twin sisters were no fools. They had their warbeasts focus on Tianming as they attempted to flee, making sure their tracing rings recorded everything before calling out to the ashuras near them for help. However, they had looked down on his tenacity. Breaking through twice in a row had made him completely different from before.

With a flash of Thousandway Blitzrun, he appeared behind them. Thanks to Xian Xian’s transformation into a cosmic god, Tianming’s legs were no longer mismatched. With the firm body of the Radix World Tree balancing him out with Lan Huang’s powerful leg form, both legs could unleash their full power.

Lan Huang’s Imperial Star-Rings caused ten thousand dragons to surround one leg before coupling with Triflair Primordial World to form countless shields that exploded forth with power. His kick landed on Mo Xi’s frail back before the rings exploded, causing her to pale and shriek in pain. Her entire body burst into astral fireworks before she turned into her spherical essence form. It only took one move to cripple her!

Though Tianming wanted to slash at the cosmic god essence, he didn’t have the luxury of time. He would need countless slashes to properly break into the essence with the Grand-Orient Sword still in its current form. It simply wasn’t sharp enough, and doing so without care might even shatter the sword. The maniverse-class Grand-Orient Sword was a huge weakness that Tianming had. The only reason it was still usable was thanks to Bai Ling’s soul power and his totems. In fact, he would be able to unleash more power if he used any other imperial-class sword, but he was simply far too used to the Grand-Orient Sword to switch.

I’ll have to convert Miracle Mountain into my Grand-Orient Sword soon to make killing cosmic gods easier! Right as he thought so, he zipped toward Mo Lian, charging up his next strike. Mo Lian had already struggled to return to human form after being reduced to essence form back then, so she was still far from being in prime condition.

”Don’t! Stop—” Before she could finish begging for mercy, Tianming’s sword pierced through her heart from behind, sending destructive power coursing through her body and reducing her to cosmic god essence a second time. She was so badly injured that her essence seemed much dimmer than before. It would be difficult for her to reform her body anytime soon. With the sisters out of commission, the warbeasts they had lost control over went wild on the battlefield!

”I’m still not able to affect the battle as a whole yet, but I bet I can even the odds if I join the fight!” He would thin out the numbers on the winning side to ensure that both sides dealt maximum damage to each other. It was a good opportunity, given the infighting of the factions over all that treasure.

”Skyfiendling!” cried the girls’ essences as soon as Tianming finished dealing with them.

Tianming turned back and saw a black-clad youth shrouded in mist. His purple-black eyes stared at Tianming like an abyss staring back. Behind him were more than a dozen ashuras as well as a large number of warbeasts. Only one of the Skyfiendling’s 33-eye fiendsky eyes shone, meaning that he only had half his warbeasts out to fight the devas and had kept the other half to protect himself.

”Die,” the Skyfiendling said without elaborating. Then, a large wave of beasts swarmed toward Tianming.

”Oh?” Tianming zipped into the darkness so rapidly that no beast could keep up with him. He exchanged glances with the Skyfiendling one last time before vanishing completely. The arrogant young ashura hadn’t treated Tianming like a serious threat in the slightest, only for him to hear the death cries of other ashuras in the next instant! Tianming charged into the ashuras’ sparse ranks alone, weaving through them freely with Thousandway Blitzrun and catching all of them off guard.

”How dare a little orbiter like you defy us?!”

”Do you think nobody will be able to find out who you are?!”

”How arrogant!”

The ashuras flipped out at the act of rebellion. Though they had the upper hand against the devas and were about to win, some random fellow from a tiny orbiter world started causing trouble and was too fast for them to deal with.

The Skyfiendling’s eyes darkened. ”Everyone, huddle up! Call a portion of the warbeasts back to stop this little rogue from taking advantage of us!”

No doubt, this move affected the push against the devas, which was precisely what Tianming wanted. The devas would be able to push closer to the ashuras, leading closer and closer to both sides annihilating each other. He also used Yin Chen to control the wider flow of the battle while he zipped around the cavern and targeted the young ashuran geniuses. No matter how they tried to hide, Yin Chen would be able to spot them and report their locations to Tianming!

After around twenty ashuras were reduced to cosmic god essence, the rest finally managed to regroup, but it was already too late. The warbeasts that they had lost control over started to fight each other, making the battle even more chaotic than before. Tianming, on the other hand, couldn’t pick the ashuras off like before. ”This should be more than enough.”

Thanks to the evened odds, the devas were able to push back against the ashuras and primalwingers of the Sin Pantheon. The ashuras had also suffered lots of casualties, causing the Skyfiendling to furrow his brows in frustration. His father’s celebration was still ongoing, and he had wanted to use this fight to stun the devas and let the seniors see his amazing prowess, yet he had done something he couldn’t take back without even achieving his objective! He hated Tianming even more for that, but Tianming was already nowhere to be seen, and his deeds had no name to attach to.

”Skyfiendling, do you think it’s over? Oh, no. The time for vomiting blood has only just begun.”
