Beastmaster of the Ages

”Wonderians from the Upper Star Ruin really are something else!” Tianming found literal mountains and seas of resources when he looked inside their spatial rings.

There were five of them, within which were many items he had never heard of or seen before. However, he wasn’t interested in those for now. He was searching for something to resolve the urgent crisis at hand!

As he quickly sifted through the five spatial rings, his eyes lit up.

”Got it!” Tianming couldn’t hide his excitement when he saw a particular item.

”What did you find?”

”A formation core! Not sure what type of formation it’s for, but let’s test it out!”

While he was speaking, Fengqing Youmeng stealthily emerged from the Xenoworld. Even she couldn’t help but gasp in astonishment after seeing the current situation.

”Those powerful envoys were all killed. He’s practically a monster in his own territory!” Her gaze trembled. She’d anticipated Tianming being strong, but had never expected him to be this overwhelming.

Would she betray him? No way! After Lin Xiaoxiao had left, she’d elevated herself to Tianming’s number one fan in the emperor’s system. What did the core wonderians matter to her, let alone some piddling envoys? Fengqing Youmeng had despised and felt helpless about everything related to the wonderians from a young age. This time, her gamble had paid off again.

The omnisentient thread between her and Tianming had grown thick and strong. Their flawless teamwork had caught the envoys completely off guard. They had never expected a member of their race from their leased land to betray them, let alone the inheritance of the Primordial God-Emperor....

In the end, they met their demise in the most unexpected way.

”Why does this formation core look so similar to Wondrium’s world core?” Fengqing Youmeng curiously asked.

Tianming examined the hemispherical core in his hand.

”You fused with a similar hemisphere before?” he asked.

”Yes, and the two halves seem to perfectly match!”

”Then quickly try merging with it!” He handed the hemisphere to her.

Previously, she had mentioned her limited control over Wondrium. If those envoys had brought along the other half of the world core to more effectively manage Wondrium, it might hold the key to disabling that colossal stareye.

”You trust me to fuse with it? If I end up controlling the complete world core, I’ll be in charge of the stareye. What if I turn on you and loot your house?” Fengqing Youmeng teased with a mischievous grin.

”Cut the crap.” Tianming smacked the back of her head.

”Ouch!” Fengqing Youmeng staggered, nearly losing her balance. Despite her pain, she felt deeply moved by his trust.

Of course, there was also the Imperial Sword Prison as a deterrent....

What she didn’t know was that Tianming had learned from the missteps of Qitian Xiao. He didn’t dare recklessly fuse with foreign formation cores, especially those from the wonderians who specialized in such techniques. He would be doomed If it contained some kind of poison.

”Let’s head back!” He brought Fengqing Youmeng to the Blissful Union and let her focus on merging with the world core while he piloted the sphere toward Skydome.

”Hey! I contributed so much to your success here. How are you planning to reward me?” Fengqing Youmeng pouted.

To be fair, without her, things would indeed have been far more difficult. If she had sided with the envoys, the situation would have been catastrophic. But she chose Tianming.

”What do you want?” Tianming seriously asked.

”I want a child,” she shyly said with a playful smile.

Tianming was dumbfounded and shot her a glare. ”Can you be serious for once, woman?”

”I am being serious!” She rolled her eyes before adding, ”Fine, how about this? When you have a son in the future, let me get one from him, that’ll do!”

Tianming speechlessly looked at her. What kind of person was she?!

Not bothering to argue further, he earnestly said, ”You’ve indeed done me a great favor this time. I promise you, if there’s ever a way, I’ll find a cultivation technique to free you from the constraints of the wonderians. To make you truly human! I can’t guarantee success, as it’s no small task to erase the marks of your species ingrained in your bloodline, but I’ll do everything I can.”

Fengqing Youmeng froze, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. That was what she truly desired, though she knew how difficult it would be. After being born a wonderian, how could it be easy to shed that identity?

Every astron in her body bore the mark of being half of a wonderian pair. When the other half had died, she’d been left as a perpetually incomplete entity whose strength could never progress. It was even worse than a beastmaster losing their lifebound beast.

”Really...?”

”Stop wasting time! If more enemies arrive, there might be ten or a hundred more envoys, or even some beyond the Foundation stage! Then we’d all be done for!” Tianming snapped.

”Fine, fine.” Knowing the gravity of the situation, Fengqing Youmeng wasted no time in merging with the world core.

”It really is the other half of Wondrium’s world core. They truly came prepared!”

Hearing that from her, Tianming felt a wave of relief.

Perhaps because she already had the first half, the fusion process didn’t take long. By the time it was complete, the Blissful Union had already reached the vicinity of Wondrium via the wormhole expressway.

The Skydome Mundus and Infinitum Mundus were uniquely positioned, with both their capital worlds located at the bordering edges of their respective territories. That proximity allowed the Blissful Union to traverse the wormhole faster than even the xenogates used by the envoys.

Once they arrived at Wondrium, Tianming had Yin Chen send messages of reassurance to Jiguang and Suishen Xiyue. By that point, Yin Chen had significantly grown, able to almost effortlessly span the two mundi.

”Hurry and see if you can disable the stareye’s teleportation function!” Tianming urged. He was still on edge after killing five envoys at the peak of Foundation.

”Alright, alright. Stop nagging!” Fengqing Youmeng entered the astralguard formation and channeled nova source.

Tianming sensed the fusion formation subtly changing. Moments later, Fengqing Youmeng opened her eyes with a triumphant expression.

”Did it work?” Tianming anxiously asked .

”Of course! When have I ever failed?” she smugly declared.

”That’s amazing!” Tianming spun her around in excitement before eagerly asking, ”What’s the situation now?”

”I shut down the teleportation function of the stareye. They likely left only half of the world core to prevent us from shutting it down, then brought their half as they needed it for their return trip,” she explained.
