Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2581 - Dividing the Forces

In the center of the nearly ten thousand ships, an invisible gear emitting a faint hum slowly spun. Within the Traceless, the three bosses of the Star Hunters were all seated on high thrones, completely silent as if they were asleep. A deathly silence surrounded them until a certain moment when a golden transmission stone in front of them suddenly lit up. A black figure appeared inside it and extremely excitedly said, ”Reporting to the three bosses, our people have clearly seen the Gladean Ruins returning to Gladeus!”

”How many people saw it?” the white-haired man hurriedly asked.

”When the enemy was approaching Gladeus, they saw it and followed for a while. Basically, all the stationed personnel saw it!”

”They say they can guarantee that Lin Xiaodao and his infinitum-class ship are both within Gladeus! They definitely believe that the new sanctuary-class world has escaped our tracking!” The black figure’s voice became faster and louder as he spoke, filled with insatiable greed.

”Alright, continue monitoring!” The white-haired, multicolored-eyed man stood up and looked at the two beside him. ”Eldest Brother, Second Brother! So many brothers have personally seen it. The ship is so huge it’s impossible for them to be mistaken! It’s returned and Lin Xiaodao would need at least two days to come back, right?”

“If our people spotted the Gladean Ruins, its location can be absolutely confirmed. If we delay any further, it might escape our surveillance and there will be a possibility of it getting closer to here....”

They were monitoring the Gladean Ruins, just as Lin Xiaodao’s group was monitoring the Ebonfiend—it was the same logic.

”Only Lin Xiaodao can control that infinitum-class ship. Apart from him, no one on the Lin Clan’s side can stand up to me and my elder brother. Regardless of who’s controlling that sanctuary-class world, if we kill him and take the world’s core, just fusing the surface celestial patterns would be enough to drive the sanctuary-class world to escape. It won’t be difficult and two days are enough!” The man in the blood cocoon was extremely icy. Within the blood-red cocoon, an eye emerged and eerily stared at the Sun in front of them.

In any case, the controller of that sanctuary-class world had to be within the world. Otherwise, the resistance of the world’s astralguard formation probably wouldn’t even reach half of its maximum strength. The Sun in their eyes was still moving, indicating that their target’s worldcore was still within this world.

So their target was Tianming and Wudi! Of course, they didn’t know yet that an important character like Tianming was one of their targets.

”Eldest Brother, after the world entered this area of shattered stars, its speed significantly dropped. I guess they probably think they’re safe and plan to hide there first.”

”If that’s the case, even if it’s a few more months or half a year, they probably won’t be able to get far. The Gladean Ruins has just returned. Shouldn’t we take action now? With our army of over ten thousand ships and seven ether-class ships, two days are enough to face an astralguard formation of its class!”

”Let me think!” The invisible man in the middle lay on his throne, water and clouds slowly rolling on his body. He was most likely meditating and reevaluating all the possibilities. As time passed, the rolling water and clouds on his body became increasingly intense, like they were boiling, and the mist around them kept rising.

Seeing that scene, the man in the blood cocoon and the white-haired man couldn’t help but laugh as it was the signal to attack! It meant that their boss couldn’t wait any longer and was about to launch the final assault.

The eyes of the invisible man finally snapped open and gazed ahead. He stood up, stretched his muscles, cleared his throat, and, in his most grandiose voice, announced to the nearly ten thousand ships surrounding him, ”Hear my command! All ships, follow me and the Traceless. Let’s avenge the brothers and sisters who sacrificed themselves in the Myriadstar Zone over these years! Let’s use the wealth of that entire sanctuary-class world to commemorate them!”

The hungry hunters, who had been tracking their prey for so long, finally erupted at the moment when they could unleash their frenzy of attack, slaughter, and plunder. ”Attack!”

All of their ships suddenly unleashed the power of their miniature nova sources, revealing themselves in the dim area of stellar currents. The ships at or above the skypiercer class were like hungry wolves in a dark forest! They emitted a flickering and chilling light, creating an extremely spectacular scene as they densely surged toward the Sun. It was a classic starry hunt, a familiar scenario for the Star Hunters.

Each skypiercer-class ship had at least thousands of Star Hunters on board, many of whom were even astral gods. So, at that moment, they not only had nearly ten thousand ships, but also an army of tens of millions. If they were placed in the Sky Palace Formation, they could wipe out all of Tianming’s omnisentient threads in just half an hour.

The Star Hunters were truly terrifying. They were the foremost stellar thieves and made inhabitants from multiple mundi shiver in fear.

At the moment they attacked, Wudi and Tianming had already learned through Yin Chen that the battle had broken out in full scale.

On the Sun, Tianming’s group was divided into three paths.

The first path had Wudi and the Flameyellow Coffin, who had long been waiting within the Flameyellow Guard Formation. His task was to entangle the seven ether-class ships.

The second path was Lin Zhongtian and Lin Zhonghai, piloting the ether-class Reaper, stationed near the Sky Palace Formation. Once the enemy ships entered and found no one on this land, they would quickly discover the Sky Palace Formation and target it. The Reaper’s presence would undoubtedly alleviate much of the pressure on the formation.

As one of the top creations of the Lin Clan, a giant sword like Reaper could potentially eliminate a significant portion of their opponents. If it couldn’t hold on, the ships below the sanctuary-class wouldn’t be able to stop it from leaving either.

As for the third path, it was Tianming piloting the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb; he also brought along Moran.

Now, Ji Ji was mainly divided in two parts. One part was inside the Sun, enhancing the Flameyellow Guard Formation’s offensive power, while the other part resided in the miniature nova source of the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. It could enhance both the offensive power of the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and the wonders of Moran. Tianming had long tested the power of both together in the Inkwell Sea.
