Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You

Vol 7. Chapter 51: Bro Thinks He’s Deeply Romantic

Hand in hand with Muse, Isha strolled slowly toward the sanctuary.

By the time they reached the guest hall of estate, Beren was already waiting.

”Good morning, Miss Isha.”

He quickly came forward to greet them, and his gaze instantly fell on Muse.

”And this must be your daughter? What a beautiful little princess.”

Muse was still young and didn’t know much about etiquette. Plus, from what she’d picked up from her parents’ and Aunt Isha’s conversations, she could vaguely tell that this weird uncle named Beren wasn’t exactly well-liked—

Especially the way he always got excited and tried to touch her face.

So in response to Beren’s pleasantries, Muse’s expression remained blank. She only nodded and replied coolly,

”Morning.”

Pretty princess? She’d been called things like “super ultra mega soft-and-cute little dragon girl” since she was born, so Beren’s empty compliments didn’t faze her in the slightest.

Isha smoothed things over symbolically.

”She’s a bit shy. Doesn’t talk much with strangers.”

The moment he heard the word stranger, Beren seemed to trigger some internal keyword and quickly said:

”Oh, that’s alright. We’ll be seeing each other often. I can take her out for some fun. She’ll warm up after a few outings.”

“Seeing each other often,” “take her out for fun”...

Isha nearly coughed up blood.

What kind of sins had her past self committed, to run into this clingy barnacle right when she craved some peace and quiet?

Just as Isha was about to tactfully refuse, Muse suddenly spoke up.

”I don’t want to go out with you.”

Beren: ”...Little princess, that’s not something you should say. Your mom and I are very good friends, you know.”

”But I’ve never heard Mom mention you before. If you’re such good friends, why doesn’t she talk about you often? I always talk about my best friend at home. Her name is Hefei, and she’s the daughter of the Flame Dragon King, Constantine.”

”N-no no, being close friends doesn’t mean you have to mention each other all the time. And anyway, little princess, it’s not polite to say ‘I don’t want to go out with you’ to Uncle, no matter what.”

Beren tried to awaken the innocence and cuteness in her.

Muse thought it over seriously, then nodded.

”Alright. Sorry, Uncle. I shouldn’t have said I don’t want to go out with you.”

Beren smiled, relieved. There we go—

”I will not go out with you.”

”...”

The killer wasn’t that the kid spoke bluntly. The killer was how she said it—completely flat, like reading a textbook passage without emotion.

Beren was left so choked by her words he couldn’t squeeze out a single syllable.

Isha immediately poked Muse’s little head.

”You can’t talk to Uncle like that. Say sorry, quick.”

”Okay. Sorry, Uncle.”

That was fast!

But why was it still in that same emotionless reading voice?!

Beren rubbed his hands together.

”It’s fine, it’s fine. Just a child’s innocent words. Oh, right—I brought a gift for the little princess! Let me show you. Just a sec.”

He turned around to fetch the present he’d prepared.

As soon as Beren turned away, Isha bent down beside Muse and whispered in her ear with praise in her voice.

”Nicely done, Muse.”

She had expected her little niece to falter when facing someone as sticky as Beren. Isha had even prepared to step in herself.

She hadn’t expected this little one to be so calm—and ruthless.

Call it childish honesty, or innate straightforwardness, Isha didn’t really care what motivated Muse’s words. She was just glad Muse was gaining experience for the future.

But Muse actually looked upset by the praise.

”Didn’t you just tell me to apologize...? I don’t get adults.”

Taking a deep breath, Muse asked:

”Auntie, do I still need to talk later?”

”Talk! Say whatever you want to say!”

”Okay, Auntie.”

There was something magical about Muse’s way of speaking—it always pulled back right before hitting someone’s actual pain point. She never really hurt anyone.

In short, her timing was impeccable.

Beren had come here hoping to win Isha’s heart by currying favor with Muse.

But he hadn’t expected this little one to be completely immune to his tricks.

Can he blame the kid?

Of course not. He was the one who shamelessly threw himself at them.

”Here you go, little princess. This is a gift Uncle got just for you, all the way from Sky City.”

Beren took out a brightly colored object and held it out in front of Muse.

”It’s a little puzzle toy imported by Sky City from another race. Do you know what it is? Want Uncle to tell you?”

He waved the toy proudly.

Muse looked down at it and replied flatly:

”Rubik’s Cube.”

”...Y-you’ve played it before?”

”Saw my sister playing it.”

”Sister?”

Beren blinked, then quickly turned to Isha.

”The little princess has a sister? You have two daughters?”

”Ah—”

Isha saw Muse’s fingers twitch slightly. That made her realize Muse had slipped up.

She was here pretending to be Isha’s daughter, but the script didn’t include any “sister” in this version of the story.

”Not a biological sister,” Muse quickly added, her mind spinning.

Isha backed her up.

”Yeah, one she calls sister herself. I only have Muse.”

”Oh... I see...” Beren let out a long breath, relieved.

But Isha caught something.

The moment she said she had only Muse, Beren clearly relaxed.

So—he’d be okay if she had one daughter, but more than that...?

To test her theory, Isha probed carefully.

”Beren, see? I wasn’t lying—I really have a daughter. You and I aren’t suitable. You deserve someone better.”

Faced with this obvious pushback, Beren quickly shook his head.

”No no no, Miss ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) Isha, I don’t think having a daughter affects us at all. In fact, I’d be willing to raise her with you.”

A cold sweat trickled down Big Sis’s back—

My god, this man is delusional!

Bro really thinks heʼs some deep, soulful lover.

But putting feelings in the wrong place is just self-indulgence.

To chase someone who’s made it clear over and over that they’re not interested, and then still show up uninvited—that’s pure negative charisma.

No wonder even little Muse, at her young age, had no patience for him.

If the queen found out that he wasn’t just unrepentant but doubling down, she’d probably regret not scolding him even harsher back then.

”But... I heard just now, this child has a sister. Even if she’s not biological, she’s lived with you for a long time, right? That makes her family too.”

Isha replied:

”Would that bother you?”

This time, Beren clearly hesitated.

Which confirmed Isha’s suspicion.

But just as she was about to secretly breathe a sigh of relief, Beren added:

”Then why not let the older princess come out too? I brought enough gifts for everyone.”

”...Huh?”

Where the hell am I supposed to pull out an older princess from?! It’s way too late to run back to the Silver Dragon Sanctuary and borrow another kid!

Only now did Isha realize she’d dug a hole with her own lie.

”What’s wrong? Is the older princess... not home?”

Seeing Isha flustered, Beren clearly sensed something was off.

”Ah, she... she—”

Beren stared at her intently.

Isha knew—this bastard had probably figured out he was being lied to.

Now she was stuck: she couldn’t produce the so-called “older daughter,” and admitting she’d lied would destroy her credibility.

Just then, a red dragon maid walked over and whispered in Isha’s ear:

”Wind Dragon King and Princess seek an audience. They’re waiting outside.”

Snap!

”The elder princess—look at that, she’s here!”
