Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You

Vol 7. Chapter 16: No One Will Get Hurt Anymore

”Noa?”

The couple turned to look toward the back seat.

Sure enough, the Overachiever Princess was sitting in the booth right behind them. When she was discovered, she waved with an awkward smile.

”Good evening, Mom, Dad.”

Rosvisser stood up and gestured for Noa to come sit between her and Leon.

Noa obediently walked over and sat down beside Leon.

”Why aren’t you with your sisters? Sneaking over here to listen in on our conversation?”

Rosvisser sat back down as well and asked gently.

Noa rubbed her nose.

”Actually, I ➤ NоvеⅠight ➤ (Read more on our source) wasn’t the one who wanted to eavesdrop. She did.”

As she spoke, Noa pointed at her own temple.

The couple immediately understood.

It was the ancestor.

”She said she doesn’t have the same sort of tacit understanding with the Melkvey family yet. She was unsure and wanted to...”

”You mean what we told you a few days ago—about the original Dragon King lodging in your consciousness?”

Leon nodded.

”Yes, Senior.”

”Noa said she and Senior Hera are both descendants of the original deities. But the Dragon God fell a long time ago, while Senior Hera seems to have spent a long time with Zeus, so she’s always wanted to talk with her—just never had the chance these past few days.”

The Overachiever Princess explained, ”I was only passing by here to get snacks for Moon, and when I saw you, I thought I’d drop by and listen for a bit.”

Hera nodded thoughtfully.

”Oh~ I see. That’s perfectly fine. Of course I’d be happy to talk with another descendant of the original gods.”

”Really, Senior? Then I’ll let the old lady take over for me now.”

Hera blinked, confused.

”Take over... what do you mean by that?”

Noa chuckled, then closed her eyes.

When she opened them again, her pupils had changed into the crystalline white.

Switch successful.

And Noa’s expression and aura shifted entirely in an instant.

Hera immediately sensed the change in presence.

It was a presence only ancient powerhouses could emit—something Hera knew all too well.

”Original Dragon King Noa... my ancestors spoke of you.”

Hera smiled calmly, still in that same relaxed tone.

”Strictly speaking, we should be equals in status. So no need for formalities. Back when all the races on the Samael Continent were still in their infancy, you boarded the Dragon Vessel of Origin for the sake of the Dragon Race, laid its foundations, quelled the internal turmoil through unity, and successfully sealed the ultimate fear that once plagued the land...”

Hera clasped her fingers together and rested her chin on the bridge made by her hands, smiling at Noa.

”In terms of accomplishments, you far surpass our Golden Thunder Clan.”

Noa didn’t show much reaction to Hera’s praise.

After all, she had lived for over ten thousand years. What kind of flattery hadn’t she heard?

She truly valued the chance to speak with Hera, so she got straight to the point.

”The glory of the past is best left in the past. What I’m more interested in are the other descendants of the original gods in the present day—that’s one of the reasons I wanted to talk to you directly, Hera.”

”Other descendants of the original gods?”

Noa nodded.

”Aside from the Dragon God, Tiamat, and the Elemental God Zeus, there should be other divine bloodlines on the Samael Continent. Excluding the more unique case of Cronos, that leaves the God of Wisdom—Metis—and the God of Light—Apollo. But to this day, I haven’t heard any news of descendants from either of them. Do you know anything about them?”

Hera’s eyes flickered slightly as she thought for a moment. She didn’t answer right away, but instead asked a question of her own.

”Why do you want to know about them, Noa?”

With her white pupils shining with firm and dignified light, Noa raised a hand and pointed to herself.

”Because I stood beside this little girl through the Void’s invasion. That was the fiercest war I’ve witnessed in millennia. And Atos, the leader of the Void, is the strongest enemy I’ve ever known. Though we ultimately won that war, the price of victory was too steep. If every victory requires someone’s sacrifice... can it really be called a victory? I never want this land—especially this world created from nothing by the Dragon God’s hand—to be tainted by invaders from another dimension. That’s why we need allies—enough of them. As descendants of the original gods, we must stand united and drive out anyone who dares set foot on the Samael Continent.”

Hera was taken aback.

”You’ve never said that before, have you, Noa? But your thinking is good. After what we’ve experienced with the Void, we really should be taking those hidden threats beyond Samael more seriously.”

”So... can you answer me now? Do you know the whereabouts of the other divine descendants?”

This time, Hera didn’t hesitate or try to conceal anything. She answered directly.

”I only know about the lineage of Apollo, the God of Light. As for Metis’ descendants... I’m not sure.”

Noa nodded, pausing to think for a moment before speaking.

”That’s still better than having no leads at all. Then... do you have any thoughts about what I just said?”

Leon and Rosvisser exchanged a glance—an unspoken confirmation passing between them.

This time, Noa really had come to them with something serious.

After defeating the Void and Atos, they had indeed enjoyed a period of relative peace.

But the ancestor had always harbored some concern for the future.

Leon remembered clearly what she had warned them back then. Her words still echoed in his ears even now:

They only drove Atos away. They didn’t eliminate him completely from this world.

In other words, the danger still remained.

It might be a small danger—but like a grain of sand in your eye, once you notice it, you can’t ignore it.

After a brief silence, Leon spoke.

”We support your idea. We can’t keep facing crisis after crisis unprepared.”

From the previous war with Hades to the recent conflict with Atos, every battle against the Void had been won not through their own strength alone, but by outside intervention.

Each time, it was thanks to Safina and Kaiser reclaiming their freedom.

Leon felt that Noa was completely right:

If every victory demands sacrifice... can it really be called a victory?

He didn’t want to go through decades of separation again. He didn’t want to see his friends paying the price for his future and freedom.

So, he supported her.

Better to be prepared than helpless under a surprise attack.

”Hmm... that’s really all I wanted to say. Since you two support me, and Hera knows where the descendants of Apollo are, I’ll leave the task of organizing our side’s forces to you both.”

”Leave it to us.”

Noa nodded, just as she was switching out again—but suddenly remembered something.

”Oh, right! Just now you wanted to ask how to maintain the Five-Spirit Saint Shadow form for a long time, didn’t you?”

”Yes. Is it similar to Noa’s ‘Primordial Mode’?”

”When Hera mentioned asking Noa just now, Leon had already thought of her Primordial Mode.”

Noa nodded—then slowly shook her head.

”In terms of power structure, the Primordial Mode and the Five-Spirit Saint Shadow are indeed quite similar. But I’m lodged within Noa’s consciousness. She can draw directly on my Primordial Power and fuse it with her own, activating the Primordial Mode. But Leon, you rely on the power of the Five-Spirit Core. It’s borrowed strength—so by nature, it’s different. I can only give you some advice. Whether it works or not, I can’t be certain.”

Leon nodded. ”That’s fine. I’ll figure it out myself, step by step.”

”Hmm... if you want to maintain the Five-Spirit Saint Shadow for an extended time, you’ll need to get used to the strain it puts on your body, and slowly memorize the ‘feeling’ of using it. In the end, you need to merge the power of the five elements until they flow as one. Mentally, you must stop thinking of it as external power and treat it as your own. You have real talent, Leon.”

As she said this, Noa looked up at Leon, the corners of her mouth curling upward in genuine admiration.

”To be honest, when I first saw you mastering Zeus’s power, I truly thought that great deity had descended into this world again. That’s why I believe in you. You’ll definitely master this power. And when that happens... no one will have to get hurt again.”
