I Cultivate in a Government Office

Chapter 263: Chapter 147: The Golden Core Great Dao of the Yuqing Secret Skill

Qin Huaiming’s expression turned solemn. Spiritual Light glowed from his fingertip again as he said, ”The Yuqing Secret Skill, among the seven great fundamental methods, is one that is balanced and gentle. It is not scorching and tyrannical like the Three Yang Secret Technique. Instead, it draws from the principle of ’a clear sky and a peaceful earth,’ gathering the Five Qi and Five Yang within the body to form a Golden Core, ultimately achieving the Great Dao of the Golden Core.”

”While you temper your physical body in the Marrow Cleansing Realm, you must use this Entry Level of the Yuqing Secret Skill to stimulate the naturally burgeoning Five Elements Qi within you. Slowly plant the seeds of the Five Qi in your Spiritual Veins. When you reach Foundation Establishment Perfection, you can use this to cultivate to the ’Five Yang’ realm. For a Yuqing Cultivator, the ’Five Yang’ realm is what we call Entry. Given the current balance of your Five Qi, I imagine that reaching the Second Realm, the ’Five Qi’ realm, will also be a matter of course.”

”And one more thing, you must keep in mind: this technique cannot be passed on to the mediocre, nor can it be passed to anyone outside our sect.”

As Qin Huaiming spoke, the Spiritual Light once again pressed into the space between Yang Wenqing’s brows.

Unlike the dense and substantial nature of the *Xuanyue True Scripture of Bone Marrow Cleansing*, the information in the Entry Level of the *Yuqing Secret Skill* felt far more ethereal and lofty. It was like a mystical symphony expounding on the principle of pure qi ascending. The subtle and profound methods within—on how to sense the pure, righteous qi both inside and outside the body, and how to use this qi to harmonize the Five Yang Qi of the five viscera—made Yang Wenqing’s mind tremble slightly, even while his rational mind was in control.

”Bone Marrow Cleansing strengthens the body, while the Yuqing technique refines the spirit and regulates qi. The two can be practiced in parallel without conflict, and in fact, they complement each other,” Qin Huaiming said, retracting his finger. He advised, ”Your constitution is special, with extremely high absorption and conversion efficiency, but remember that haste makes waste. The First Transformation of Bone Marrow Cleansing emphasizes permeation, while the Entry Level of the Yuqing technique focuses on nurturing.”

”I understand, Master. I will be sure to follow your teachings,” Yang Wenqing promised solemnly. His mind, however, was fixated on what his master had just called the ’Great Dao of the Golden Core.’ ’Is this path related to the Golden Core in my mind?’

”Good. We still have some time. I will first guide you into the First Transformation of Bone Marrow Cleansing, and then help you nurture the initial Five Yang Qi.” With a wave of his hand, Qin Huaiming dispelled the surrounding Qi Cultivation Eighth Refinement Array and instructed Yang Wenqing, ”Sit down and circulate the Five Qi in your Qi Sea and five viscera.”

”Yes, Master.”

Yang Wenqing cleared his thoughts and, as instructed, sat cross-legged again on the cattail cushion at the Array’s core, sinking his consciousness deep within his body.

Qi Yue stepped forward, patted Qin Huaiming’s shoulder, and then withdrew from the secret chamber.

Within Yang Wenqing’s body, his Qi Sea was full and surging. Starlight flickered in his three hundred sixty-five acupoints, and the Five Elements Spiritual Light of his five viscera flowed ceaselessly. He first followed the method of the First Transformation from the *Xuanyue True Scripture of Bone Marrow Cleansing*, slowly urging the pure Spiritual Qi in his Qi Sea to separate into fine, gentle threads. He then attempted to guide these threads to permeate the depths of the bones throughout his body.

From the very first attempt, he could feel a sense of stagnation and rejection as the Spiritual Qi tried to enter his dense bones. It was like solid ice meeting water—they refused to merge.

Just then, Qin Huaiming came up behind Yang Wenqing. He extended a hand and gently pressed it on the Baihui acupoint at the crown of his head. A warm, gentle stream of Spiritual Qi, like a spring breeze melting into rain, silently seeped into Yang Wenqing’s body.

This stream of Spiritual Qi first helped Yang Wenqing stabilize the threads of his own Spiritual Qi, making them more condensed and reducing their friction with his flesh. Then, Qin Huaiming’s Divine Sense, acting like an expert navigator, guided these threads to slowly permeate toward his bone marrow cavities.

”Do not be hasty. Guide the qi with your spirit; let the qi follow your will. Visualize the Spiritual Qi as spring rain and your bones as parched earth. Let it gently nourish them, slowly permeating. Remember this feeling.”

Under his master’s guidance and support, the once incredibly difficult permeation process suddenly became much smoother. Yang Wenqing immediately used the projection of his Golden Core World as a reference, patiently circulating the Spiritual Qi in his body to perform the Bone Marrow Cleansing.

”Take out the Blood Marrow Lingzhi. Place a small piece of it under your tongue. Do not swallow,” Qin Huaiming instructed.

With a thought, Yang Wenqing took a crimson, jade-like Blood Marrow Lingzhi from his Storage Bag. He carefully broke off a fingernail-sized piece and, as instructed, placed it under his tongue.

The piece melted the moment it entered his mouth, turning into a gentle but substantial warm current that quickly spread throughout his body. This current seemed to possess a Spiritual Attribute of its own, precisely seeking out the threads of Spiritual Qi that had just touched his bone marrow. It not only further reduced the marrow’s resistance but also built an invisible bridge between the Spiritual Qi and the marrow, allowing their energies to begin to faintly resonate and merge.

”This is the beginning of ’Qi and Marrow Fusion.’” Qin Huaiming withdrew his palm. His guidance ended here. The rest was up to Yang Wenqing to experience and solidify on his own. ”In your future cultivation, follow this rhythm, supplement it with the Blood Marrow Lingzhi, and make use of the Array. With your aptitude, you will soon be able to enter the Second Transformation.”

The rational part of Yang Wenqing’s mind clearly recorded every step and every sensation he had just experienced.

”Next is the Entry Level of the *Yuqing Secret Skill*—the beginning of nurturing the Five Qi.” Qin Huaiming didn’t pause. He moved to sit facing Yang Wenqing, formed a hand seal, and a soft, pure, and righteous glow enveloped his body.

”The way of Yuqing prioritizes balance. It draws upon the pure Yang qi of heaven and earth to harmonize the Five Elements within the five viscera. The Five Qi in your viscera are already in a state of harmony. Now, using this as a foundation, you will induce a connection between your internal and external environments to nurture the very first ’seed of Yang Harmony of the Five Qi.’ This is what we Yuqing Cultivators call the ’Five Yang.’”

The moment Qin Huaiming finished speaking, Yang Wenqing felt a subtle change in the surrounding Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi. An essence that was ’pure, righteous, harmonious, and warm’ began to quietly gather and surge slowly toward him.

This was the result of Qin Huaiming using his own understanding of the way of Yuqing to temporarily influence the attributes of the Spiritual Qi in a small area, thereby creating the optimal cultivation environment for Yang Wenqing.

”Focus your intent on the five viscera and observe the flow of the Five Elements Spiritual Light within. The heart corresponds to fire, its light is red; the liver to wood, its light is green; the spleen to earth, its light is yellow; the lungs to metal, their light is white; the kidneys to water, their light is black.” Qin Huaiming’s voice carried a peculiar rhythm, guiding Yang Wenqing’s internal visualization.
