Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 841 - 792: Talk between friends

After leaving the others, Alex asked where Saeko was, and the others said she went out to train. Going to his room, Alex took out a communication stone and injected mana into it; the stone glowed and was connected to the other side.

Immediately a holographic image appeared above the stone, and Leonʼs face could be seen. He seemed to be training as he held a bastard sword and swung it.

ʼʼLong time no see Leon.ʼʼ

ʼʼItʼs good to see you, my friend. What coincidence. I was thinking about contacting you once Iʼm done with my training, but how would you contact me first.ʼʼ Leon said while putting away his sword. After wiping away his sweat, he sat on the ground in a lotus position.

ʼʼHow are the others?” Leon asked.

ʼʼThey are doing fine, and what about you guys?”

ʼʼWe are fine as well. Everybody here is fine. We were together yesterday night for a meeting. Letʼs not talk about that first; I heard you got a new fiancee? Iʼm envious, man, your luck with women is too strong.ʼʼ

Hearing Leonʼs words and seeing the grin on the corner of his lips, Alex understood that he was teasing him, and he chuckled.

ʼʼWhat can I say? When you have a face like mine and an awesome family name, you will attract a bunch of pretty women. Sometimes even Iʼm afraid of my charm. Itʼs so scary that I dare not look at myself in the mirror for fear of falling for myself.ʼʼ

Leon, who had started the topic to tease his friend as it had been a long time since they last communicated like this, was overwhelmed by the latter shamelessness; he was so surprised that his jaw was almost hitting the floor.

ʼʼThere is a limit to being narcissistic, you know?” Leon mumbled.

ʼʼHahaha! You donʼt have to tell me.ʼʼ

ʼʼI forgot how shameless you could be. The little Eastern princess must be a beauty? I wonder how she looks?”

ʼʼDonʼt worry, you will know in the future. I asked her to follow us, and she accepted. I need a valuable subordinate, and she will do fine. It was not what her father wanted, but it is not like I care about something like that. I donʼt need another woman right now. As for what kind of relationship we will have in the future, only time will tell us.ʼʼ

ʼʼI see. This is more like you, my friend. Even my father suggested that we find you a woman, but I vehemently refused this suggestion. While I understand their intention, everyone is trying to be connected to you, using a woman to achieve this doesnʼt sit well with me. Building a relationship based on trust and friendship is more durable than this.

Well, thatʼs my opinion.ʼʼ Leon said while drinking a cup of water.

ʼʼYou are right, but they are not wrong either. Each of you uses different methods to achieve your goals, thatʼs all. What is your current level?” Alex asked at the end of his sentence; he was trying to change the subject.

ʼʼIʼm currently Level 138, and itʼs becoming harder and harder to level up, so it becomes frustrating.ʼʼ

Looking at his friend lamenting, Alex could understand how he felt because he was having the same problem; it was not a secret that the higher your level, the harder it became to level up.

ʼʼHow about the other two?” Alex asked; naturally, he was talking about Eris and Kuina.

ʼʼBoth are level 137. We are all trying to catch up to you, my friend, but it is not easy. You are a real monster, you started later than us, but now youʼre stronger; I wonder how Leonardo felt seeing your progress?ʼʼ

Alex chuckled, not saying anything. Leon continued.

ʼʼDid you contact him recently? Did he tell you where the headquarters of the Chaos organization is?”

ʼʼNo, I havenʼt contacted him in a while. I donʼt do it often; I told him only to contact me when he got some useful information. You know the enemy is not a fool; they knew something was wrong; maybe they are aware of my plan but still let Leonardo infiltrate them.

This would mean they needed him for something; until the reason they needed him happened, he must find out their location before escaping. Itʼs a risky mission; however, the benefits are tremendous. I promised him to help him achieve perfect harmony with his Gift; you must know that he hadnʼt gained his Giftʼs spirit approval, meaning he couldnʼt use it to its full potential.

After slicing off one of his arms, I sealed his Gift, and he had a deal.ʼʼ Alex explained with a bright smile.

Leon shivered, seeing Alex talking about how he blackmailed someone with such a bright smile. No wonder Leonardo accepted such a risky mission; he was forced to take on such a dangerous mission. His friend was a devil.

ʼʼI fought one of the leaders of the Chaos organization, Lord Thanos.ʼʼ Suddenly Alex said this, and Leon almost fell from his chair.

ʼʼSay what?”

ʼʼI said I fought against the one leader of the Chaos organization. It happened not long ago; it was because I was trying to rescue Incursio.ʼʼ Alex explained, but Leon had trouble following.

Massaging his throbbing temple, he stopped Alex.

ʼʼAlex, can you stop for a moment and properly explain what happened?”

Alex chuckled and told Leon all the story. Leon listened to everything, shocked.

ʼʼWasnʼt Incursio a member of the organization? If so, why was she running away?” Leon asked about the point he couldnʼt understand; he was not the only one.

ʼʼI wanted to know too, but we can only get the answer once she wakes up.ʼʼ

ʼʼLetʼs hope she quickly does. We must not miss out on this opportunity. The enemy is ridiculously strong; from what you said, not even my father could win. We must prepare for the worst.ʼʼ

ʼʼI concur. Gracier suggested visiting other empires as a vacation while at the same time using this opportunity to increase our strength quickly. What do you think?” Finally, Alex talked about Gracierʼs plan.

Leonʼs eyes widened; he hadnʼt thought someone would have the same idea as him.

ʼʼWhat a coincidence, it is exactly what we talked about last night during our meeting,ʼʼ Leon responded, and it was Alexʼs turn to be surprised.

The two burst into laughter before talking about the details of this plan. It had been decided that the group would visit the Lionheart Empire after leaving the Far East Empire.
