Supreme Devouring God

”Saber Saint Cliff, Ninth Palace Disciple, Qin Chen.”

Qin Chen said coldly.

Yueen Su was in for a big surprise: ”You’re that Dream Saber Lord’s second disciple?”

Qin Chen hadn’t expected that even a random person he ran into would know him. Of course, Qin Chen understood this wasn’t because of him, but because of the Dream Saber Lord.

It was the Dream Saber Lord’s reputation that drew attention to Qin Chen.

Yueen Su’s face turned green.

Where was that calm and carefree demeanor from just now?

Too damn unlucky!

Out here in the wilderness, the random person they bumped into actually turned out to be the Dream Saber Lord’s disciple?

No wonder he was so terrifying at such a young age.

The other two monks might not know Qin Chen, but as long as one was from Qian State, it was absolutely impossible not to recognize the Dream Saber Lord.

The moment they heard Qin Chen was the Dream Saber Lord’s disciple, their faces went pale with fright.

They all cast pleading looks at Yueen Su.

But Yueen Su could barely protect himself.

”You still haven’t answered my question.” Qin Chen said.

Yueen Su hurriedly said, ”We are ’Silver Pattern Disciples’ of the Zen Heart Dragon Palace. Just now we were performing the Zen Heart Conversion Scripture.”

”This group of Martial Artists was killed by a band of bandits. By the time we arrived, they were beyond saving, so we enlightened them, so that in their next life they can turn misfortune into blessing.”

Zen Heart Dragon Palace?

Qin Chen’s brows furrowed.

Could it be just some small Sect?

Although Qin Chen wasn’t very familiar with the power distribution in Qian State, he had been here for a while now.

He’d at least heard of any Sect with a bit of fame.

But this ”Zen Heart Dragon Palace” meant nothing to him.

Yueen Su seemed to read Qin Chen’s thoughts from his eyes and said, ”Our Zen Heart Dragon Palace was a Great Sect that shook Qian State five thousand years ago.”

”Later, due to a calamity, it was destroyed. Now, five thousand years later, our Zen Heart Dragon Palace has re-emerged in the world.”

Is that so?

Qin Chen couldn’t be sure whether this guy was telling the truth.

But there was one thing Qin Chen could be sure of: this guy was bullshitting.

”You just said you were enlightening these people so their next life could turn misfortune into blessing?” Qin Chen asked.

The other two monks’ eyes flickered, but Yueen Su kept a solemn face: ”Yes. We are Disciples of the Buddhist Sect, devoted to the Buddhist Path of the Primordial Buddha, saving others and saving ourselves.”

”Though this tragic event has already occurred and we cannot reverse it, we still do everything we can, doing what we ought to do.”

”This is a responsibility that every Disciple of the Buddhist Sect must not shirk.”

”Isn’t that right?”

When he finished, Yueen Su even turned to ask the two monks beside him.

Suddenly called out, the two monks panicked a little, then hurriedly nodded: ”Yes, Brother Yueen has always been kind-hearted. He’s already done this sort of thing many times. Truly admirable.”

Yueen Su shook his head modestly: ”Not at all, not at all. You two are quite good yourselves.”

”Are you done talking?”

Qin Chen looked at the three of them with interest.

Yueen Su said, ”We’ve said all that needed to be said. Now that the enlightenment is done, we should be on our way. Young Master Qin, we take our leave. I hope that one day we can meet again. Amitabha.”

Finished speaking, he turned to leave.

The other two monks had long wanted to go. Seeing Yueen Su say they were leaving, they moved even faster than him.

But they hadn’t taken more than a few steps.

Qin Chen suddenly appeared in front of them like a Ghost.

Yueen Su’s heart sank, though his face wore a trace of confusion: ”Young Master Qin, is there something else?”

Qin Chen smiled and said, ”Of course. I want to ask, where exactly are you going?”

Yueen Su said, ”Amitabha. We came out this time to do good deeds, and the accumulation of merit is almost sufficient. We plan to return to the Dragon Palace to continue cultivating the Buddhist Law and studying the Buddhist Scripture.”

Qin Chen let out a soft laugh and said, ”You think acting is fun, do you?”

Doing good deeds?

Accumulating merit?

Did they take him for an idiot?

Just now Qin Chen had watched with his own eyes as Yueen Su and the other two enlightened this group of Martial Artists, absorbing the power in their bodies.

The two men beside Yueen Su turned pale.

Yueen Su forced himself to stay calm and asked in puzzlement, ”Young Master Qin, what do you mean? Why do you say we’re acting? The Buddhist Sect has always valued honesty. Since we have left home, naturally we do not lie.”

Qin Chen had little patience. Seeing this guy still trying to quibble, he pulled out the Bloodthirsty Demon Blade and directly pressed it against Yueen Su’s throat.

Scarlet Bloodthirst surged along the Bloodthirsty Demon Blade.

Though Yueen Su had been feigning composure the whole time, with the blade now at his throat, he was starting to panic.

”You just said they were killed by bandits?”

Qin Chen asked.

Yueen Su quickly answered, ”Exactly. Young Master Qin must believe us. A man of the cloth does not speak falsehoods.”

Qin Chen said, ”Then why do I not see a single wound on their bodies?”

This group had most likely been enlightened alive by Yueen Su and his two companions.

It was the three of them who had taken these people’s lives, and then refined their power for themselves.

Yueen Su said, ”Young Master Qin, this is a misunderstanding. There are many ways to kill. One doesn’t need to cause wounds to kill someone. We truly haven’t lied to you.”

Qin Chen smiled.

Seeing Qin Chen smile, Yueen Su forced out a smile that looked worse than crying.

Qin Chen pointed at himself: ”Come on, use your Zen Heart Conversion Scripture to enlighten me, let me also turn misfortune into blessing.”

Yueen Su’s expression turned troubled: ”Young Master Qin’s strength is so formidable. With our meager Creation, how could we possibly enlighten Young Master Qin?”

Qin Chen pressed forcefully, ”I’m telling you to enlighten me.”

Yueen Su was completely speechless.

He’d been lying from the start.

That Zen Heart Conversion Scripture was nothing but an evil Divine Skill.

Used on the weak, it would forcefully enlighten them. But if used on the strong, it was simply courting death.

”So, it seems I can’t find a single reason not to kill you.”

Seeing Yueen Su fall silent, Qin Chen said.

Yueen Su immediately said, ”Young Master Qin, I admit I did deceive you, but if you spare me, I can give you a Great Creation.”

In his heart he cursed Qin Chen for being too sharp, not believing a word from the start.

”A Great Creation?”

Qin Chen found it somewhat amusing: ”What Great Creation can you possibly give me?”

Yueen Su said, ”I might not be able to give you a Great Creation, but our Zen Heart Dragon Palace can.”

”You may not know yet, but our Zen Heart Dragon Palace has already fully risen and is rapidly expanding its influence. In just a single day, tens of millions of people in Qian State have become Dead Spirits.”

”And our Zen Heart Dragon Palace’s strength is soaring.”

”The three of us were originally extremely ordinary Martial Artists. It’s only because we joined the Zen Heart Dragon Palace that we obtained this magnificent Divine Skill, the Zen Heart Conversion Scripture.”

”In three days, it allowed our Cultivation—which hadn’t broken through for three years—to finally advance.”

At these words, Qin Chen’s expression completely darkened.

Tens of millions fallen in just one day?

Yueen Su would have been better off saying nothing; now that he had, Qin Chen’s killing intent only grew heavier.
