Supreme Devouring God

”Was it Jang Ye who gave you the news?” asked Liuw Cheng.

Hea Zhangxuan nodded.

”That bastard!”

Liuw Cheng cursed furiously, extremely annoyed: ”If the Empress Dowager finds out about this, she will definitely not spare us!”

Hea Zhangxuan’s face was somber.

Indeed, they had handled this matter terribly.

Even worse than their anticipated worst-case scenario.

”Let’s go find him!”

Liuw Cheng said angrily.

At that moment, his heart was full of fury, and he couldn’t feel comfortable without venting.

It was during the dead of night, the perfect time for rest, and Jang Ye was fast asleep in the bedroom.

”Bang!”

Suddenly, the bedroom door of Jang Ye was violently smashed open by an external force, shattering the door completely.

Jang Ye awoke with a start from his dream.

The whole situation left him utterly confused.

Following this, Hea Zhangxuan and Liuw Cheng charged in, Liuw Cheng being extremely fierce, lunged at Jang Ye with a hefty slap.

”Slap!”

The crisp sound of the slap echoed, sending Jang Ye sprawling, rolling off the bed.

Jang Ye quickly tried to comprehend.

But couldn’t figure it out!

What was going on here?

How did the two of them suddenly burst into his bedroom, then before he could react, directly slapped him?

Once he managed to get up, he suddenly gasped upon seeing Liuw Cheng and Hea Zhangxuan.

”General Liuw, Lord Hea, you?”

He was still shaken.

Liuw Cheng glared at Jang Ye angrily: ”You bastard, why did you inform us of uncertain news? Do you know how embarrassed you’ve made us?!”

The more Liuw Cheng thought about it, the angrier he became.

Getting into a senseless fight with Hea Zhangxuan and wasting the plan entirely was nothing short of a farce.

Facing the wrathful Liuw Cheng, Jang Ye was immensely frightened.

”General Liuw, I didn’t harm you, did I? You must be talking about the news regarding the two disciples from Saber Saint Cliff living in the bedroom, right?”

”This news is indeed accurate, I saw them walk into the bedroom with my own eyes, and then they never came out.”

”Slap!”

Upon hearing this, Liuw Cheng delivered yet another hefty slap.

Sending Jang Ye spinning in place for three circles.

Even blood was drawn from him.

Jang Ye was in extreme pain, but more than that, he was terrified, exclaiming in panic: ”General Liuw, I’m telling the truth.”

”Moreover, I believe not only me, many people must know this, I’m really not lying to you!”

”Still trying to argue!”

Liuw Cheng shouted, glaring at Jang Ye with a sinister look: ”If your news is true, then why didn’t we see even a ghost of the two disciples from Saber Saint Cliff inside the bedroom?!”

”Could they have vanished into thin air?”

If Jang Ye hadn’t reported the news, they wouldn’t have acted, and none of this would have happened.

How could Jang Ye know what was happening?

He truly felt wronged!

Hea Zhangxuan frowned: ”I wonder if the two disciples from Saber Saint Cliff have been alerted, if they have, it’s bad. They might leave our Jingyue Dynasty.”

”And when they return, it might be with the army from Saber Saint Cliff, we’re all doomed.”

”Bang!”

The enraged Liuw Cheng stomped on Jang Ye’s chest, sending him crashing into the bed edge, blood spouting from Jang Ye’s mouth.

”Do you hear! It’s all because of you! We might all die! Our entire Jingyue Royal Family might be finished! All because of you! You idiot! Bastard!”

Liuw Cheng was more furious than ever.

Just at that moment.

A voice came from outside: ”General Liuw, Lord Hea, the Empress Dowager wants to see you, she’s waiting for you in Jing Yue Hall.”

Upon hearing this, both of their faces changed.

At this point in time, the Empress Dowager wanting to see them bore very clear intentions.

Surely the Empress Dowager had gotten wind of the news and wanted to question them.

”Jang Ye! If I don’t live, you will die before me!”

Liuw Cheng left a warning, not daring to delay before the Empress Dowager and hurriedly left with Hea Zhangxuan to get to Jing Yue Hall.

Left behind was Jang Ye, disheveled, with a swollen face and mouth bleeding, sitting at the bedside in a daze, staring blankly at everything around him for a long time without regaining his senses.

”What... what have I done!”

After a moment, Jang Ye couldn’t help but cry bitterly, uttering a sentence.

...

Jing Yue Hall.

The Empress Dowager sat with a stern face, beside her was the Jingyue Emperor, both seemingly surrounded by dark clouds.

The entire Jing Yue Hall was enveloped in a somber atmosphere.

Hea Zhangxuan and Liuw Cheng hurriedly arrived at Jing Yue Hall.

”What have you two been doing?!”

As soon as the two entered Jing Yue Hall, the Empress Dowager, who had been holding back, emitted a sharp roar.

She had been waiting for good news from Hea Zhangxuan and Liuw Cheng.

Thinking nothing out of the ordinary should happen, it was double-insured.

Yet, afterwards, she received the news that in Qin Chen’s bedroom, Hea Zhangxuan and Liuw Cheng ended up in a scuffle, both even sustaining injuries.

The commotion was so loud that many servants and maids were alerted.

The Empress Dowager felt like she was on the verge of exploding!

She could hardly resist skinning Hea Zhangxuan and Liuw Cheng alive!

What a pair of dumb pigs!

How could they be so stupid?!

Didn’t bring back the target, but ended up fighting among themselves?

And even alarmed the snake in the grass!

How could the Empress Dowager not be furious?

Hea Zhangxuan’s face remained calm, while Liuw Cheng looked gloomy saying: ”Empress Dowager, this matter is rather peculiar, can’t entirely blame us.”

”It was various coincidences hitting at once, which led to this incident.”

The Empress Dowager stood up, gasping in fury: ”You two make it reasonable! Now tell me, what to do?!”

”You’ve deeply disappointed me.”

The Jingyue Emperor kept a stern face, the development far worse than their expectations.

Hea Zhangxuan was relatively calm, he said: ”Empress Dowager, Your Majesty, I think there’s still a chance to salvage this situation.”

”As long as those two disciples from Saber Saint Cliff remain unaware of this incident, there’s still hope.”

”Weren’t they going to Blood Spirit Pavilion? We might as well make a move inside Blood Spirit Pavilion, after all, the Blood Spirit Pavilion is overseen by the Blood Spirit Demon Clan, it’s just that we won’t get compliments from the Blood Spirit Ancestor.”

”But, we can still be considered as assisting, and will receive commendation from Blood Spirit Ancestor.”

Hearing this, the Empress Dowager also calmed down.

Though she was indeed very angry, being angry wouldn’t solve the problem, she had to face reality now.

”I’ve received information, they aren’t in the palace, don’t know why”

”But that’s precisely an advantage for us.”

”Immediately seal the news at all costs.”

”Since they aren’t in the palace, there’s still time to seal the news, anyone daring to leak the news, I’ll have their entire family executed!!!”

The Empress Dowager roared like a demon.

”Yes!”

Both Hea Zhangxuan and Liuw Cheng nodded.
