Supreme Devouring God

Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Falling into the Trap!

”Speak!”

Tang Zhou nodded a hint of acknowledgment.

”Near Bianmu City, the Sea Beast Commander Haihong has been spotted.”

”The Sea Beast Commander Haihong?”

Hearing this, Tang Zhou immediately frowned.

”If Haihong has personally appeared, then this matter must be certain.”

Tang Zhou silently nodded.

”Logically speaking, even if these sea beasts were to attack a city, they should choose Flying Stone City, so why Bianmu City?”

At this moment, Ning City’s brows slightly furrowed.

Flying Stone City and Bianmu City, coincidentally, one is on the east side of Flying Stone Island, and the other on the west, at opposite ends.

Sea beast attacks on cities are typically to seize Martial Artists’ cultivation resources.

Compared to Bianmu City, Flying Stone City should be the target of the sea beast attacks.

Because in Flying Stone City, there are large quantities of Sea Essence Pearls.

Sea Essence Pearls, in the eyes of the sea beasts, are similar to stone coins to Martial Artists, a major temptation for those creatures.

Hearing this, Tang Zhou’s eyes flickered.

”Here’s what we’ll do. Ning City, my First Thousand-man Team will go defend Bianmu City, and your team will defend Flying Stone City, how about that?”

As soon as these words came out, the faces of the Third Thousand-Man Team showed a trace of anger.

Even Qin Chen’s brows slightly furrowed.

Although there might be a chance of a sneak attack on Flying Stone City, the possibility was too small.

After all, even the Sea Beast Commander was spotted near Bianmu City.

That meant if the Third Thousand-Man Team went to defend Flying Stone City, there was a very high chance it would all be for nothing.

Tang Zhou’s words were clearly an attempt to monopolize the points from killing the group of sea beasts attacking Bianmu City.

”Tang Zhou, don’t you think this distribution is somewhat unfair?”

Ning City’s face darkened.

”Unfair? If you think your team is strong enough, then my First Thousand-Man Team is willing to defend Flying Stone City.”

”Of course, if your team fails to defend Bianmu City, I believe the Island Master certainly won’t let you off easily.”

”What do you think?”

Tang Zhou looked at Ning City with a smug smile.

At these words, laughter erupted among the First Thousand-man Team.

Because what Tang Zhou said was indeed true.

He did have ulterior motives to let his First Thousand-man Team kill all those sea beasts for the points.

Such an opportunity was too rare to miss.

And since he spoke with such confidence, it meant he believed in his ability.

Conversely, dealing with over ten thousand sea beasts would indeed be difficult for the Third Thousand-Man Team.

And if they failed to defend, the consequences were naturally clear.

Upon hearing this, Ning City’s face instantly looked incredibly grim.

”If you don’t speak, I’ll take it as your agreement.”

Seeing Ning City’s sullen expression, Tang Zhou chuckled, then gestured grandly with his hand.

”First Thousand-Man Team, follow me... to Bianmu City!”

With Tang Zhou’s signal, the First Thousand-Man Team sported triumphant expressions and quickly vanished from sight.

Leaving behind the Third Thousand-Man Team, all with displeased looks on their faces.

”Damn it!”

At this time, Qin Chen also heard Zhang Xin’s curse.

”This Tang Zhou is obviously bullying us.” Xiao Zhan, standing behind Qin Chen, couldn’t help but complain.

”Quiet!”

Ning City yelled.

”If you had the strength, do you think Tang Zhou would dare to be so arrogant?”

As a Chiliarch, being looked down upon by another Chiliarch was clearly the most uncomfortable experience for Ning City.

But he was powerless, for what Tang Zhou spoke was the truth.

On hearing this, the Blood Continent Guards of the Third Thousand-Man Team clenched their fists tightly.

Especially Qin Chen, who once again felt the importance of strength.

Without it, even your own allies would walk all over you, showcasing their prowess. But there was no help for it; if you were weak, you’d just have to endure.

”Let’s go.”

Ning City beckoned and led the Third Thousand-Man Team towards Flying Stone City.

Upon arrival at Flying Stone City, there were no surprises, not a single Sea Beast was seen.

On the contrary, it puzzled the Blood Continent Guards stationed in Flying Stone City, making them wonder if something had happened.

Meanwhile.

At Bianmu City.

By the time Tang Zhou arrived with his troops, Bianmu City was in the heat of battle, with its defenders engaged in fierce combat against the Sea Beasts.

”Weren’t there supposed to be over ten thousand Sea Beasts?”

Seeing that the Blood Continent Guards who had been defending Bianmu City were still holding on, Tang Zhou was somewhat surprised.

In each city near the Endless Sea, there were two one-hundred-man teams guarding.

How could these two hundred Blood Continent Guards still hold off an attack of ten thousand Sea Beasts?

With doubts in his heart, Tang Zhou flew up into the sky to have a bird’s-eye view of the entire Bianmu City.

He immediately saw the Sea Beast Commander Haihong, who was relentlessly slaughtering the Blood Continent Guards.

However, more importantly, Tang Zhou discovered a shocking fact.

The number of Sea Beasts attacking the city was definitely no more than a thousand!

The Sea Beast Commander Haihong had indeed come, but the number of Sea Beasts was far from ten thousand!

In fact, it was not even up to a thousand!

”What’s going on?”

”Why are there so few Sea Beasts?”

”Weren’t there supposed to be over ten thousand?”

At this time, not only Tang Zhou but also the other Blood Continent Guards of the First Thousand-man Team were very puzzled.

”This is bad!”

Suddenly, Tang Zhou’s expression changed.

”Damn it, we’ve been tricked; these Sea Beasts’ target is not Bianmu City at all!”

Tang Zhou was no fool. After a moment’s thought, he instantly realized they had fallen into a trap.

The old trick of leading the tiger away from the mountain!

The real target of these Sea Beasts was not Bianmu City but Flying Stone City!

As for Haihong, he was merely a decoy.

”Yang Zhi!”

At this moment, Tang Zhou’s face looked awful.

He had originally intended to take all the Sea Beasts near Bianmu City for himself.

But he hadn’t anticipated falling for the Sea Beasts’ deception.

He had no idea of the attacking power of the Sea Beasts heading for Flying Stone City, but if their number exceeded ten thousand based on his judgment, the Third Thousand-Man Team definitely couldn’t hold them off.

And once Flying Stone City fell and the Sea Essence Pearls were stolen, the punishment of Ning City was secondary. The key point was that he would definitely be implicated.

After all, he was the one who had suggested this plan.

”Commander!”

The one called Yang Zhi hurried over when he heard the call.

”Take eight one-hundred-man teams and rush to Flying Stone City immediately.”

Tang Zhou couldn’t leave at that moment because Haihong was still there.

Only Tang Zhou could confront someone of Haihong’s strength.

Therefore, Tang Zhou could only send others to defend Flying Stone City.

”Yes!”

Yang Zhi instantly nodded and, without hesitation, led eight one-hundred-man teams to rush to Flying Stone City.

”I hope you can hold it!”

Watching Yang Zhi and the others leave, Tang Zhou couldn’t help saying.

Flying Stone City.

The Third Thousand-Man Team had already been in Flying Stone City for almost half an hour and still hadn’t seen a single Sea Beast.

”It’s been half an hour already; if the Sea Beasts were coming, they would have been here by now, right?”

”I think we should go. It’s been a waste of half an hour here for nothing.”

Seeing this, some Blood Continent Guards couldn’t help but complain.

At that moment.

Qin Chen, who had been sitting cross-legged on the ground with his eyes closed in meditation, suddenly frowned and opened his eyes.
