Supreme Devouring God

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Freshman Assessment!

”Oh? So Qin Chen actually hit your brother?”

The others were immediately surprised.

”Brother Jie, don’t worry. During this new disciple assessment, if we encounter him, I’ll make sure he gets what’s coming to him without you having to say a word!”

Zhu Fei Cheng said grimly.

The people Soong Kaijie had summoned were all old disciples taking part in the new disciple assessment this time.

To suppress the new disciples’ arrogance, the sect would select a few old disciples to suppress the new ones during each assessment, to help them settle down.

”As long as nobody dies, injury or disability doesn’t matter. I’ll take responsibility for everything!”

Soong Kaijie said coldly.

”Good!”

Zhu Fei Cheng and the others nodded without hesitation.

...

Thunder Sky Mountain.

The entire mountain was arranged into a large array by the founding ancestor of the Thunder Sky Sect.

Up on the mountain, there were many Array Formation Illusion Beasts and some mechanisms.

These Array Formation Illusion Beasts were similar to Demon Beasts, but in fact, they were even more troublesome.

However, these Array Formation Illusion Beasts were better than Demon Beasts.

After all, they were non-living things, so they generally did not kill people, which made them relatively safe.

Today was the day of the new disciple assessment.

At the foot of Thunder Sky Mountain.

Nearly a thousand new disciples were gathered here.

Qin Chen was among them.

”You are all new disciples who entered our Thunder Sky Sect this year. Here, I represent the Thunder Sky Sect to welcome everyone.”

The person hosting the new disciple assessment wasn’t anyone else—it was Yun Jin, who had previously received Qin Chen.

”Clap clap clap!”

Warm applause suddenly erupted from below.

”The location for this new disciple assessment is, as always, above the Thunder Sky Mountain behind you!”

As soon as Yun Jin finished speaking, countless new disciples looked back.

”To make you all more motivated, I will announce the prize for the first place in this assessment.”

Yun Jin smiled, looking at the group of new disciples below.

”I’m so excited!”

”I wonder what the prize will be this time?”

Many new disciples were very excited.

”The first place prize for the new disciple assessment is fifteen stone coins and one selection at the Spirit Treasure Pavilion.”

”And, you can choose one Martial Art from the Second Level of the Martial Arts Pavilion!”

As the words fell, there was a stir among the crowd below.

Generous!

The rewards for this new disciple assessment were too generous.

Fifteen stone coins!

One selection at the Spirit Treasure Pavilion!

Choosing one Martial Art from the Second Level of the Martial Arts Pavilion!

This year’s new disciple assessment had richer rewards than in previous years.

Especially for Qin Chen.

Almost every reward was something Qin Chen needed.

Stone coins could enhance his Cultivation.

As for the Spirit Treasure Pavilion.

There were many treasures inside the Spirit Treasure Pavilion,

Like Primordial Artifacts or the Demon Beast Inner Crystals that Qin Chen needed, as well as all sorts of treasures.

These things were all available in the Spirit Treasure Pavilion.

Finally, he could choose one Martial Art from the Second Level of the Martial Arts Pavilion.

This was also something Qin Chen urgently needed.

Void Fist was not really considered an offensive Martial Art.

So, Qin Chen urgently needed a real offensive Martial Art.

”It seems I must fight for the first place!”

Qin Chen’s eyes burned with eagerness.

”Heh heh, that first place will definitely be mine, Lv Jia!”

Near Qin Chen, there was a young man with a long sword on his back, his eyes brimming with confidence.

”Of course, who among the new disciples of this term could be more powerful than Brother Jia?”

A group of flattering disciples were beside Lv Family.

Hearing this voice, many new disciples sighed.

Qin Chen also looked over.

”Who is this Lv Jia?”

Qin Chen asked the person next to him.

Yun Jin glanced at the Jade Token on the waist of the person before him, called Xuu Yuan.

”You don’t even know Lv Jia?”

Upon hearing Yun Jin’s words, Xuu Yuan’s face immediately displayed shock.

”Lv Jia is a Five-star Talent, and his Inheriting Technique is a Xuan-level top-grade cultivation method. By the age of seventeen, he had already reached the Body Refinement Fifth Layer, and he was taken in by the head of the Class A Institute!”

”He is known as our strongest New Disciple this year!”

”That impressive?”

Yun Jin smiled.

”Of course, brother, I advise you, don’t even think about getting first place.”

Xuu Yuan patted Yun Jin’s shoulder.

”How about it, the reward for first place in this New Disciple’s trial, it’s pretty hefty, isn’t it?”

Elder Yun looked at the new disciples below, their faces ablaze with eagerness, and he couldn’t help but smile.

Below, the new disciples all nodded their heads.

”Therefore, this time, the second and third place will get no reward whatsoever!”

”This New Disciple’s trial only recognizes first place!”

Elder Yun said with a smile.

”Only recognizes first place?”

Hearing this, everyone looked at Lv Jia.

If only first place was acknowledged, then without a doubt, Lv Jia had the greatest possibility of taking the crown.

Lv Jia smiled faintly, his face carrying a hint of confidence.

”Now, I will explain the rules of the trial.”

Elder Yun’s voice rose, and everyone below fell silent.

”The rules are simple: scattered throughout Thunder Sky Mountain, there are many Primordial Value Cards. Your goal is to obtain these Primordial Value Cards.”

”In the end, whoever has the highest Primordial Value is the first place winner!”

”Here, let me give you a friendly tip: the more dangerous the place, the greater the Primordial Value on the cards.”

”However, do not act recklessly. Every year, quite a few New Disciples die on Thunder Sky Mountain, all because they acted rashly.”

”Furthermore.”

Elder Yun’s tone shifted.

”Come out!”

Elder Yun said with a laugh.

At this moment.

A group of people came out.

”Zhu Fei Cheng of Yi Courtyard, with the older disciples, greet Elder Yun!”

Zhu Fei Cheng and others greeted Elder Yun.

”Zhu Fei Cheng?”

Seeing Zhu Fei Cheng, Xuu Yuan, standing beside Yun Jin, instantly turned pale.

Yun Jin looked at Zhu Fei Cheng and stroked his chin.

Because he felt this Zhu Fei Cheng looked a bit like someone from his memory.

Then, Yun Jin raised an eyebrow.

Zhu Yan?

”What’s the relationship between this Zhu Fei Cheng and Zhu Yan?”

Yun Jin asked Xuu Yuan.

”Zhu Yan? Zhu Yan is Zhu Fei Cheng’s younger brother.”

Xuu Yuan replied.

Hearing this, Yun Jin immediately grinned.

It seemed that Zhu Fei Cheng had indeed come for him.

”The duration of the trial is twelve hours.”

”Within these twelve hours, your senior brothers will do their utmost to stop you, so you must be careful!”

Elder Yun spoke with a smile.

”Damn it!”

”It seems that the difficulty of this year’s New Disciple trial has also increased!”

”I hope I don’t run into Zhu Fei Cheng!”

The new disciples began to pray.

”The quality of this year’s New Disciples really sucks!”

Looking at the group of New Disciples before him, Zhu Fei Cheng’s face was filled with disdain.

”What did you say?”

Hearing Zhu Fei Cheng’s words, Lv Jia immediately got angry.

”Kid, if I made a move, do you believe you wouldn’t last a single round against me?”

Zhu Fei Cheng heard this and immediately laughed contemptuously.

Having said that, Zhu Fei Cheng’s aura instantly burst forth, incredibly imposing.

Roar!

Shadows of a total of sixteen fierce tigers emerged around Zhu Fei Cheng.

The New Disciples were instantly shocked.
