Sovereign of the Ashes

The three little ones were Audria, Ronaldo, and Flynn.

Audria was the only female among them, yet she was their leader.

Dressed in leather armor, with a short sword hanging at her waist and a bow slung across her back, she was clearly a Faelorian ranger.

Ronaldo was the strongest of the three—a warrior, standing nearly two and a half meters. His bare chest was covered in scars, and he wielded a heavy sword.

Yet, it was Flynn who intrigued Sein the most.

Unlike the others, he was a mage—and, more importantly, there was not a single trace of divine power within him.

Flynn was an orphan.

His parents had been killed in a siege by the Justice League, leaving him with no reason to ever believe in a deity.

His harsh life had forged him into a tough little guy with defiant eyes.

Despite not relying on the Weave, Flynn had somehow managed to master seven spells.

Four of these had been taught to him by his parents, who were once members of the Godslayers.

As for the other three, he developed them all.

The little mage’s natural talent was undeniable.

With access to the Weave, he could have mastered up to nineteen spells in total.

Of course, not all of them were combat magic.

Among his Rank One spells, three were offensive, and only one was defensive.

The rest were mostly functional spells with little combat value, such as Illumination and Cleanse.

Sein took a look at one particular spell—a small trick Flynn’s mother had taught him.

It was a short-distance messenger spell that animated a folded paper crane, allowing it to fly up to two kilometers.

For a self-developed spell, it was quite remarkable.

Flynn’s arrival was an unexpected surprise for Sein.

Sein saw Flynn’s seven self-developed spells as crude and unrefined, yet undeniably innovative.

It was not just Flynn who intrigued him—even the Weave, which Sein held in contempt, was rather fascinating.

According to Flynn, two of the most powerful spells within the Weave were so complex and demanding that even Epic-level mages struggled to master them.

Historical records stated that the Godslayers had once used these very spells to slay deities.

Without a doubt, these spells were on par with demigod-level power—otherwise, they would have never been capable of killing a god.

Even Sein had to admit that the existence of two demigod-level spell models had caught his interest.

If these demigod-level spell models were submitted to the Magus World’s Arcane Light, he could easily be rewarded with thousands of Arcane points!

It was not just those two demigod-tier spells—even the Rank Three spell models in the Weave piqued Sein’s interest.

After all, these spells had been created by none other than Eluvira, the Goddess of Magic.

Speaking of which... Eluvira was a greater deity—a Rank Six being in the Astral Realm.

Yet, the most destructive spells in the Weave were only those two demigod-level spells, with none reaching Rank Four or above.

This alone proved that even the Goddess of Magic knew how to obey the laws.

She had intentionally limited her influence, ensuring she never crossed a line that would provoke the wrath of other Faelorian deities.

After thoroughly assessing the abilities of the three promising newcomers and extracting every bit of knowledge from Flynn regarding the Weave, Sein finally began his work on guiding and transforming them.

Sein’s in-depth study of human anatomy and powerful bloodlines during his time at the Northern Witches Council had given him a profound understanding of the Magus World’s knights.

The Northern Witches Council’s unique approach—merging the disciplines of knights and witches—gave Northland knights an unparalleled advantage in bloodline strengthening, far beyond what knights in other regions of the Magus World could achieve.

Even the Byrne Empire, hailed as the “Knight Empire”, paled in comparison.

Sein’s plan for enhancing Audria and Ronaldo revolved around reinforcing their constitutions and tempering their bodies.

When it came to selecting bloodlines, Sein had an extensive array of species to choose from.

“The bloodlines of demons, dragons, or other extraplanar creatures in my possession... Let’s see which ones you two choose,” Sein said, addressing the pair in the laboratory.

His collection included the blood of various extraplanar beings—a result of his habit of collecting specimens and his relentless curiosity to explore the unknown.

Everyone should hold their own destiny in their hands.

While Sein could enhance these three little ones, the decisions that would shape their futures were theirs to make.

To his surprise, Audria—the only female among them—chose the demon bloodline.

The demon race was notorious for its terrible reputation, and considering the appearance of most demons...

Well, Sein could only respect her choice.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo chose the dragon bloodline—an unsurprising decision, given that the dragons in Faeloria were well-known for their strength.

Whether it was a demon or dragon blood, both would provide a substantial boost to their power.

At the same time, Sein also took the opportunity to analyze the cultivation method that Audria and Ronaldo had been using.

This technique had been passed down from their family elders and the predecessors of the Godslayers.

It was a crude way of harnessing primordial force—one that, according to Audria, could theoretically be cultivated all the way to Epic rank.

However, that would be an incredibly difficult process.

Of course, it would be difficult!

The two cultivation methods displayed before Sein were, quite frankly, inferior to even the legacy techniques passed down in House Grantt for hundreds of years.

Back then, House Grantt had only produced one Rank Two knight, Julius, and the family’s battle qi techniques had been developed and refined solely by him.

Sein did not deny his great-grandfather’s ingenuity or his keen understanding of battle qi.

However, from the perspective of science and truth, Sein—now a Rank Three Grand Mage whose understanding of bloodlines had deepened significantly after studying in Sky City and the Northern Witches Council—could only conclude that House Grantt’s cultivation method was incredibly rudimentary.

Once he returned to the Magus World, the first thing he intended to do upon arriving at House Grantt was to apply his knowledge to refine and enhance the family’s knightly cultivation techniques.

As for Audria and Ronaldo, their current techniques should, at best, allow them to reach Rank Two.

Yet, according to the Godslayers’ history, there had been individuals who had pushed beyond Rank Two, even reaching Rank Three using this very technique.

Sein had to acknowledge that in this world, there were indeed creatures known as “geniuses”.

These individuals were always able to surpass limitations, reaching heights unattainable by the ordinary.

In truth, anyone who had joined the Godslayers was already a deviant—a rebel bold enough to defy the deities.

With a lifetime of hardship, relentless struggles, and endless pursuits, it was no surprise that the strongest among them had managed to break free from their shackles and ascend to the Epic level.

Still, Sein had no intention of introducing the Magus World’s battle qi techniques to Faeloria.

The biological structure of Faelorian humans was fundamentally different from that of Magus World humans.

Sein neither had the time nor the desire to spend excessive effort adapting battle qi techniques to suit this world’s humans.

Instead, he chose to scientifically refine the primordial force cultivation techniques that Audria and Ronaldo had already been practicing.

At a glance, it seemed as though Sein had barely altered their cultivation methods.

But once they began practicing, they would surely notice the big difference.
