Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

The opponent’s words actually piqued Kira’s interest.

”So, you’re also one of Z-ONE’s companions?”

Kira recalled that Z-ONE and several of his companions were originally warriors fighting against a destroyed future. They struggled to save the world until its end, losing comrades one after another, until only Z-ONE was left.

But Z-ONE preserved the consciousness of his fallen comrades, storing their personalities inside the android bodies he crafted, allowing their personalities to continue by his side.

But no matter how advanced the technology, or how perfect the imitation, they were ultimately no longer the originals. In fact, by Z-ONE’s time, humanity had already gone extinct. Z-ONE was the last human left on Earth.

All the others—including Paradox, Aporia (the fusion of the Three Pure Nobles of Iliaster), and Antinomy—were androids replicating original personalities.

As far as Kira knew, only those three replicants appeared in the original series—there didn’t seem to be any others.

Yet now, the Enforcer in front of him looked utterly shocked upon hearing Kira’s words. ”How do you know the name of God!?”

Within the Iliaster Organization, everyone referred to Z-ONE as ”God,” an omnipotent deity guiding not just the organization, but the fate of all humanity. But even in the organization, even the Three Pure Nobles only called him ”God” and never used his real name. Most lower-level members had never even heard it.

But this ”Goodwin” in front of him actually knew!

”I am a servant of God, one who clears all obstacles in His path.” The Enforcer said in a low voice. ”I do not know how you learned God’s name. But knowing this much, there’s even less reason to let you live!”

”It’s just a name! Why so angry?” Kira shrugged in exasperation.

”Fine, I set a card face-down to end my turn.”

The Enforcer gritted his teeth.

Indeed, he was also one of the androids created by Z-ONE’s technology, serving as an Enforcer to clear the way for Iliaster’s future—that was his purpose.

He was not God’s original companion, for he had never known Z-ONE in life. He was just another powerful figure who fell during that ruined timeline, brought back as a android replicant to fight for Iliaster.

But even so, his memories—and this fighting resolve—were real. He fought for God’s ideals, for humanity’s future.

A turtle formation that seals attacks and resists destruction? Compared to all the tough battles he’d fought so far, what was this?

”My turn! Draw!” declared the Enforcer.

”I activate the Spell Card ’One for One!’ By discarding a monster from my hand, I can Special Summon a Level 1 monster from my deck!”

The Enforcer discarded a card, and a golden stream of light shot from his deck.

”From the deck, I Special Summon the Tuner monster: ’Sinister Sprocket!’”

[Sinister Sprocket, ATK 400]

”Then, I Normal Summon ’Steel Scorpion.’”

[Steel Scorpion, DEF 300]

”Level 1 Tuner, Sinister Sprocket!

Level 1, Steel Scorpion!

Level 8, Ally of Justice Cosmic Gateway!

Tune!”

[1 + 1 + 8 = 10]

”In the wavelengths resonating within the dimensional rift, the hammer of judgment that shatters obstacles is forged! Synchro Summon—

—Ally of Justice Decisive Armor!”

The light of Synchro Summoning swirled like a quantum tunnel. The tuning monsters turned into rings that burst, mechanical gears bursting mid-air, blue data streams pouring like waterfalls from the ceiling. Within an electromagnetic storm, a silver-white energy sphere expanded and rippled with endless waves across its hexagonal surface.

All engines ignited at once, and blue-white plasma ripped apart the energy sphere, revealing the cold metallic outline of the massive Decisive Armor. Like a building-sized fortress, it hovered mid-air, launching quantum sparks from its thrusters, turning the scattered machine debris into a whirling metallic sandstorm.

Level 10, Ally of Justice Decisive Armor, summoned!

[Ally of Justice Decisive Armor, ATK 3300]

Truly the Enforcer’s trump card, the ultimate Decisive Armor, the embodiment of his resolve!

With high ATK 3300, and once per turn, if the opponent controls a LIGHT monster, you can choose one of three effects:

Destroy a face-down card on your opponent’s field;

Or discard a card to destroy all your opponent’s Spell/Trap cards;

Or discard your entire hand, look at your opponent’s hand, send all LIGHT monsters there to the graveyard, and inflict damage equal to their combined ATK!

A Decisive Armor with ”anti-LIGHT” coded right into its DNA.

If you pulled this on Kaiba or Zane Truesdale with their Blue-Eyes/Light decks, and Kaiba had three Blue-Eyes out, you’d toast all three and deal 9000 damage!

Zane wouldn’t fare much better; three Cyber Dragons, all LIGHT, would get wiped for 6300.

But if the opponent’s not running LIGHT monsters, this thing is just a vanilla Level 10 beater. But for LIGHT decks, it’s the ultimate endgame weapon.

”And, the effect of Sinister Sprocket!” announced the Enforcer. ”When this card is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, I can destroy one face-up Spell or Trap on the field.

I’ll destroy ’Temple of the Kings!’”

This combo wasn’t just for summoning his ace, the Decisive Armor. It also locked onto that wretched key accomplice, ”Temple of the Kings!”

Once Temple was gone, his opponent’s Scrap deck would lose its unlimited Trap activation privileges!

But—

Kira’s expression didn’t change. His voice was calm: ”I activate my face-down, the Trap Card ’Scrap-Iron Pitfall.’ This card can only be activated when your opponent Special Summons a monster—it negates the Special Summon, and returns that monster to your hand.” (Anime card)

Of course, it’s one of the anime-only Scrap traps—not even made into a real card.

”Nani?!”

The Enforcer’s heart sank.

Again!?

Oh, not my ace! My resolve! My tamashii...

But there was nothing he could do. His invincible Decisive Armor hadn’t even gotten a foothold before falling straight into a pit, turning back into a beam of light and flying back into his Extra Deck.

Because it was a Synchro Monster, it couldn’t return to the hand—so back to the Extra Deck it went.

Now, the Enforcer truly looked murderous.

My precious Decisive Armor, my Level 10 giant!

Gone in a split second—before it could even land.

Are you playing Yu-Gi-Oh or trolling me!?

Then he heard Kira chuckle, ”Of course, like all Scrap traps, Scrap-Iron Pitfall doesn’t go to the grave after use. It gets set back face-down.”

Executive: ”...”

Kira: ”Because ’Temple of the Kings’ is still out, set cards can still be activated on either turn, by the way. Also, although your ’Sinister Sprocket’ can destroy my ’Temple of the Kings’ as Synchro material, the Synchro Summon itself was negated, so its effect doesn’t trigger.”

Executive: ”...”

That’s right—on top of infinite negates, destruction resistance, and now special summon blocking, too.

In fact, this third ”pit” was arguably the most obnoxious of the lot.

So what could he do now?

The Enforcer helplessly looked at his field, then his hand.

Summon another monster to be bounced again by that infinite Scrap-Iron Pitfall?

Or declare a pointless attack, only to be blocked over and over again?

He had nothing left.

”If you’re done, it’s my turn. Draw.” said Kira.

The Enforcer took a deep breath.

At least for now, he still had The Seal of Light. The opposing Submarineroid was sealed for now.

There’s still hope.

”I activate the Spell Card ’Power Bond!’ Using fusion materials from hand or field to Fusion Summon a Machine-type monster.”

Kira revealed a monster in his hand.

”Fusion Summon, using ’Submarineroid’ in my hand and the one on the field.

Fusion materials: two Machine monsters with the same name. Fusion Summon!

Upgraded submarine, the ultimate Machiner, The Soul of the Machine—

Pair Cycroid!”

[Pair Cycroid, ATK 1600]

”Monsters Fusion Summoned with Power Bond have their ATK doubled!”

[Pair Cycroid, ATK 1600 → 3200]

”3200 ATK?”

Seeing the bike, the Enforcer was startled, then quickly calmed down.

No problem. Although its ATK beat every monster he had, the bike was EARTH attribute, and he had the invincible ”Ally of Justice Catastor.”

Catastor could destroy any opponent’s monster in battle except DARK monsters—it was the strongest field clearer and an impenetrable defense. No matter how high your ATK, you couldn’t break through.

Kira: ”Pair Cycroid’s effect is the same as Submarine’s: it can attack directly.”

The Enforcer went silent.

3200 ATK, and it can attack directly—

He suddenly understood.

That summon chant about ”submarine upgrade” and ”Soul of the Machine”—he’d been confused, wondering what bikes had to do with subs. But now he got it. Completely.

”Soul of the Machine”? More like ”Soul of Pissing You Off!”

”Pair Cycroid.” Kira spoke calmly.

”Direct attack.”

[Executive: LP 2200 → LP 0]
