Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”Even after studying my deck and preparing countermeasures like Buster Blader, is this really all you’ve got?”

Kaiba asked disdainfully.

Gozaburo frowned.

”Your White Dragon has been crushed, and your LP is down to a mere 300,” Gozaburo said. ”Your odds of winning are virtually zero.”

”Oh? Care to bet on it?” Kaiba responded. ”I beat you at the orphanage, and after all these years, the result won’t change.

This duel, and our grudge, will end in the next turn.”

”Interesting.”

Gozaburo drew two more cards.

”Then show me how you plan to break this situation, Seto.

I set a card and end my turn.”

”My turn, draw!” Kaiba declared. ”I set three cards, then activate the Spell Card ’Card of Demise’!

Draw until I have five cards in hand, but in five turns, at the next Standby Phase, I discard my entire hand.”

Kaiba’s signature card, instantly refilling his hand.

”From my graveyard, I activate the Trap Card ’Breakthrough Skill’!” Kaiba said. ”By banishing this card from the graveyard, I negate an effect monster’s effects until the end of the turn.

I negate ’Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman’s’ effects!”

A vortex opened in the graveyard, the trap card flipped in midair, and energy chains shot toward Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman.

”So that was the card you discarded for ’The Melody of Awakening Dragon’? I see. As long as the monster’s effect is negated, its anti-Dragon suppression is useless,” Gozaburo nodded. ”But as I said, I’ve prepared for everything.

You think I’d let you get away with that?”

Gozaburo matched him move for move.

”Then I activate the effect of the Trap Card ’Destruction Sword Memories’ I discarded for ’Destruction Sword Flash’ and that’s now in the graveyard!”

”Oh?”

”You’re not the only one who can activate graveyard traps, Seto,” Gozaburo said. ”When ’Buster Blader’ is targeted by a Spell, Trap, or monster effect, banish this card from the graveyard to negate the activation and destroy it.”

He pointed to Kaiba’s trap card.

”Negate and destroy ’Breakthrough Skill’!”

The energy chains shattered instantly; the trap card exploded into fragments. Kaiba snorted: ”Heh, if that’s all you have, you’re not even worth defeating.”

He slapped down a monster card.

”I summon ’Exiled Force’.”

[Exiled Force, ATK 1000]

”By tributing ’Exiled Force’, I can destroy a monster on the field,” Kaiba said. ”Destroy ’Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman’!”

The Exiled Force charged like human bombs, swarming Buster Blader for a suicidal attack.

”Then from my graveyard, Trap Card—’Skill Prisoner’!” Gozaburo countered, ”Banish ’Skill Prisoner’ from the graveyard, and for the rest of the turn, all effects targeting the selected monster are negated.

Of course, I choose ’Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman’!”

Skill Prisoner formed a shield around Buster Blader. The Exile Force self-destructed in flashes of light, but couldn’t break through the barrier.

”Dragon Destroyer’s suppression only works on Dragons, but your deck isn’t entirely Dragons,” Gozaburo observed.

”You think I wouldn’t prepare for that?” he looked Kaiba in the eye.

Kaiba ignored him and waved his hand.

”Then, I activate my set card. Spell Card ’Silent Doom’, revive a Normal Monster from the graveyard in Defense Position.

Shine again, White Dragon—

—Blue-Eyes White Dragon, revived!”

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon, DEF 2500]

”Another Blue-Eyes, huh. But Buster Blader’s attack is based on the number of Dragons on your field and graveyard. Reviving won’t change that.”

”You think that’s what I’m after?” Kaiba barked. ”Watch, this is Blue-Eyes’ true destructive power—

—Spell Card ’Burst Stream of Destruction’!

If I control ’Blue-Eyes White Dragon’, destroy all monsters my opponent controls!”

The White Dragon opened its jaws; endless light formed a massive sphere, about to erupt!

”I see. Even if effects targeting Buster Blader are negated this turn, a full-field nuke can’t be stopped by Skill Prisoner,” Gozaburo’s eyes flashed.

”But as I said, my formation is flawless. You think I wouldn’t anticipate this?

I activate my set card, Counter Trap—’Huge Revolution is Over!’

When an effect would destroy two or more cards on the field, negate the activation and banish that card!”

He pointed to Kaiba’s spell.

”Negate and banish ’Burst Stream of Destruction’!”

The storm ceased, and the white light vanished. The glow in Blue-Eyes’ mouth faded, and the spell card disintegrated into light.

”I told you, my duel is perfect. Do you understand now, Seto?” Gozaburo said. ”Can you still claim you’ll end this duel this turn?”

Kaiba ignored him. ”Then I activate Spell Card ’Dark Factory of Mass Production’, add two Normal Monsters from my graveyard to my hand.”

He retrieved two cards from the grave.

”Return two more ’Blue-Eyes White Dragons’ to my hand.

Now, the card I’ll use is this—”

He raised his arm, flipping open his set card.

”Spell Card—’Polymerization’! Fuse the three ’Blue-Eyes White Dragons’ from my field and hand!

The mightiest Dragon that evolved over three millennia—

—Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, summon!!!”

Three White Dragons merged into a vortex, each becoming a pillar of white light. The beams intertwined, converging, and exploded into dazzling radiance, forming a magnificent scene against the black backdrop. From the endless white light, the legendary ultimate dragon emerged—Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!

The ultimate dragon-slaying swordsman faces the ultimate dragon!
