Supreme Sword Exalt

Yun Tu respectfully bowed to the Flame Emperor, sighing. “Father, it’s been many years, and you still look the same as ever. But you shouldn’t have come today. Wouldn’t it be better to stay alive, even if just a little longer? And besides, I really cannot bear to lay a hand on you.”

Ten years had passed. Unlike Yun Ao, who had somewhat recovered to the Ascension realm, the Flame Emperor had barely recovered to the early stage of the Feather Transformation realm. The disparity in their strength was clear at a glance.

From start to finish, the Flame Emperor paid him no attention.

On the other hand, Yun Ao admiringly gazed at Yun Tu. “Yun Tu, you killed your brother, and now you want to kill your father as well? You’re the most cold-blooded ingrate I’ve ever known!”

Yun Tu chuckled, tucking his hands into his sleeves. “To achieve great things, what is a little family affection? Besides, you can’t blame me. My father has been cursed ever since he inherited the Dragon Mark. The curse of father and son turning against each other, of flesh and blood tearing each other apart... If you think about it, I’m a victim too.”

The Flame Emperor’s eyes snapped open as a flicker of murderous intent passed through them. “Was it you who summoned the divine clan?”

Yun Tu nodded. “Indeed, Father. Are you surprised?”

The Flame Emperor gently closed his eyes. “Unfilial wretch.”

The next moment, a dragon-shaped mark appeared between his brows. Upon closer inspection, the mark seemed to be alive, slowly writhing. A vast, ancient, and domineering dragon might descended upon the field. At the same time, the Flame Emperor turned translucent.

Yun Tu narrowed his eyes, his smile slowly fading. “Father, what are you trying to do?”

The dragon-shaped mark between the Flame Emperor’s brows trembled for a moment, and the domineering dragon might increased. The suppression from bloodline pressure rendered Yun Tu almost entirely immobile.

The Flame Emperor said coldly, “Today, I, as the master of the Dragon Mark and the leader of the Yun Clan, hereby strip you of your Dragon Ancestor bloodline. From this moment on, you are expelled from the Yun Clan!”

Over the years, he had searched far and wide for Yun Tu without success. Now that he had finally encountered him, he would not let him go.

Yun Tu’s expression shifted slightly. He cared little about being the Dragon Ancestor’s descendant. But if the bloodline power were stripped away, the special ability of the Hidden Dragon Physique—which he valued most—would disappear.

Yun Tu looked at Yun Ao. “Make your move! Since my father is determined to die, let’s grant his wish!”

Unexpectedly, Yun Ao remained motionless and chuckled lightly. “Not so fast. Actually, I also think you don’t deserve to be a descendant.”

Yun Tu’s expression darkened. “What did you say?! Yun Ao, you—”

The Flame Emperor’s dragon mark trembled, and a golden dragon’s projection leaped out. Half a cun long and radiating boundless, domineering dragon might, it landed before Yun Tu. The golden dragon let out a deep, resounding cry, its illusory front claws fiercely grabbing Yun Tu.

A miserable scream rang out, and Yun Tu transformed into a monstrous form with six arms and three eyes.

However, this action seemed only to enrage the golden dragon further. Amid its deep cry, its two front claws gave a violent yank. Yun Tu’s scream grew increasingly shrill as it pulled out silver and translucent dragon projections. The silver dragon was Yun Tu’s own bloodline, while the translucent one was the Hidden Dragon bloodline he had stolen from Yun Huan.

The two claws pressed lightly, crushing the two dragon projections into pieces. Yun Tu spat out a mouthful of blood. In the blink of an eye, his aura plummeted from the Feather Transformation realm, and even maintaining the Saint realm became difficult.

Yun Tu stared fixedly at Yun Ao. “Yun... Ao!!!”

With a smile, Yun Ao swayed and shielded Yun Tu. “Did you know? Never in the history of the Dragon Ancestor lineage has anyone become another’s lapdog. Since you broke that rule, you are no longer worthy of being our descendant! But now that you are no longer a descendant, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a dog or not. Don’t worry. You’re still useful to me. You won’t die for now.”

Stripping the bloodline consumed a great deal of the Flame Emperor’s energy. He was becoming increasingly unstable, but he did not care in the slightest. He had not come here intending to return alive.

Immediately, the two locked eyes. Upon sensing the determination in the Flame Emperor’s eyes, Yun Ao sighed. “Yun Tian, we’ve known each other for quite a few years now, haven’t we?”

“Can’t recall, nor do I care.”

A trace of reminiscence flashed through Yun Ao’s eyes. “I remember that we grew up together, cultivated together, trained together... We did almost everything together! You were always quiet and spoke little, but I knew that back then, you truly considered me your friend, and I felt the same.

“I had great talent and a proud nature. The only person I ever acknowledged as a friend was you, Yun Tian. Back then, you always lagged a step behind me in everything. I once told you that I would get the Dragon Mark and you would get the Dragon Seal—that we would be the closest kin and comrades in the world!”

The Flame Emperor’s gaze was no longer as sharp as before. He was clearly moved as well. It seemed that both knew this would be their last meeting, and their last calm conversation.

Yun Ao sighed. “Who would have thought that fate plays such cruel tricks? Of all people, it had to be you who got the Dragon Mark and me who got the Dragon Seal... Also, why do you have to disagree with my philosophy?! It was just a temporary cooperation! If we don’t compromise, our lineage will eventually perish completely!”

The Flame Emperor said slowly, “Compromise once, and there will be a second time, a third time... The Dragon Ancestor’s will is to die rather than compromise. That’s why you are wrong.”

After a moment, Yun Ao said earnestly, “Yun Tian, give me the Dragon Mark. You will still be my best friend, and we will still be the closest of comrades.”

The Flame Emperor took a deep breath. “Words are useless. Let’s begin.”

The purple dragon coiled, fixing its eyes on Yun Ao.

Yun Ao no longer tried to persuade him as the Flame Emperor’s answer had been within his expectations. Silently, a wisp of green flame rose around him, growing stronger until it transformed into a thousands-of-zhang-long green dragon. It coiled behind him, likewise fixing its green eyes on the Flame Emperor.

Yun Ao sighed softly. “Farewell, my friend.”

Bursting into boundless green flames, the giant green dragon charged toward the Flame Emperor with a roar. At the same time, the purple dragon raised its head. Although it was much smaller, it dauntlessly met the green dragon with boundless purple flames.

Explosions rang out one after another as the two-colored flames intertwined in the sky. The clash of purple and green, the final confrontation between the masters of the Dragon Mark and the Dragon Seal! After today, at least one of the two would die.
