Supreme Sword Exalt

Gu Han became livid. “Fatty, do you have no fucking conscience?! I just risked my life to save yours! Leaving me behind is one thing, but bringing harm to me is another!”

Influenced by intense emotion, he couldn’t stop himself from cursing profusely. Actually, if he still had the strength, he’d have the urge to kill the fatty. He had never seen someone so shameless.

Even with Fatty’s extraordinarily thick skin, being berated by Gu Han made him feel a bit ashamed. “Brother Gu, you’ve misunderstood, I-I really came to save you!”

Gu Han was furious. “Save your ass! Get lost, now!”

Fatty pitifully glanced behind him. “I can’t get lost anymore... They are chasing too closely behind me.”

Right at that moment, the Tier 3 demonic beast opposite Gu Han roared and charged toward the two of them.

Fatty grabbed Gu Han. “Brother Gu, rest assured! With me here, that demonic beast won’t be able to touch a single hair on you! Mark my words!”

His golden light lit back up. While vomiting blood madly, he dragged Gu Han along to escape.

Gu Han simply didn’t believe it. “Since when are you so nice? You must be harboring some malicious idea. Let me guess, are you going to use me as a shield if you encounter a demonic beast?”

Having his thoughts exposed, Fatty became awkward. “Whaaat...? Nooo.”

Gu Han flew into rage. “Wow, so much for saving me!”

After running only a short distance, Fatty’s golden light faded again. “Just stop talking... I can’t hold on much longer...”

Gu Han couldn’t even spare the breath to scold him now. “Turn back! Why the hell are you running deeper in? Head outside! Instructor Mei and the others—”

He stopped mid-sentence. With Mei Yun around, it seemed that the outside was even more dangerous than inside.

Fatty panted heavily. “See? You get it now! Right now, the further we are from Mei Yun, the safer we are. And for you, just stop talking! Let... me catch my breath—”

Not long after Gu Han and the fatty left, Mei Yun and Jiang Feng arrived in that patch of battlefield. Behind them, a group of demonic beasts was in hot pursuit.

Upon seeing the corpses of Yu Hua and the others, Jiang Feng’s face turned pale. “What...? They died? Who killed them? Where are Brother Gu and the others?”

Mei Yun let out a long sigh of relief. “Who else could it be? Looking at their wounds, it’s definitely not the work of demonic beasts. The three deputy deans are missing, the other instructors are all outside. The ones who could have done it can only be those two. This is remarkable, truly remarkable...”

Mei Yun was filled with emotion. Yu Hua and the other two were much stronger than him. If the three joined forces, even Han Fu would struggle to survive, let alone win.

Meanwhile, Gu Han and the fatty were only at the Acupoint Unsealing realm. Yet they managed to flip the situation, crossing two realms to kill three Spirit Profound realm cultivators. No one would believe this kind of battle achievement.

Freaks! T-this is what real freaks are! Mei Yun instantly thought.

Oblivious to Mei Yun’s thoughts, Jiang Feng was overjoyed. “So that means they aren’t dead?”

“Definitely not.”

“Then let’s hurry and find them.”

“Where do we find them?” Mei Yun smiled wryly. “The Wild Forest is so big, the hope of finding them is very small. If it were normal times, it might be okay. But now, we need to flee for our lives too.”

Even as they spoke, the group of demonic beasts were closing in rapidly.

Jiang Feng fell silent. Mei Yun really lived up to his name as The Jinx. Wherever he went, demonic beasts would inexplicably jump out and chase him desperately. In just a short stretch of road, he had actually managed to provoke seven or eight demonic beasts, one of which was ranked Tier 6.

Mei Yun sighed. “Who knows where the three deputy deans have gone. If this continues, the martial academy will be ruined.”

Deep within the Wild Forest.

Elders Wu and Feng were ten times more anxious than Mei Yun.

Sensing that faint, indistinct demonic aura ahead, Elder Wu’s face was dark. “It’s him again!”

Elder Feng heaved a heavy sigh. “Why did he have to go mad now, of all times? This...”

Commander Zhou frowned deeply. “I feel like he’s stronger than before.”

Elder Wu waved a hand decisively. “Let’s go back. Forget the Green Lotus Fruit. Without us overseeing things, who knows how chaotic it’s become over there.”

Elder Feng nodded. “Right. We are hardly free from blame for this matter.”

Although they were only a short distance away from the Green Lotus Fruit, the two decisively chose to give it up. They deeply regretted giving in to greed now. Even more so, they regretted being tempted by Commander Zhou. Although it was probably too late to return now, they still wanted to preserve the last shred of hope for the martial academy.

Commander Zhou didn’t object to this decision. “Alright then. We can’t waste any time. Let’s set off immediately.”

The round trip would take at least a day. His goal had already been achieved, so he certainly wouldn’t stop them. As for the Green Lotus Fruit, with Jiang Hong’s prior promise, he didn’t care too much about it anymore.

Just as the three prepared to return, a roar full of pain and madness rang out. That demonic aura also became several times stronger.

The three men’s expressions changed dramatically. “That’s not good... He is coming this way!”

“Let’s go!”

Without hesitation, their figures turned into three streaks of light and sped away into the distance.

Not too long after, a figure arrived. He was frenzied as though a mad demon, shrouded in billowing demonic aura.

Perhaps detecting the aura of the three men, he flew into a wild rage. “Kill! Kill!”

Boundless demonic aura erupted from his body, instantly reducing the area within a thousand zhang into ruins. Losing his target enraged him even more. His seemingly infinite demonic aura spread continuously, covering the whole area in no time.

Several demonic beasts that failed to escape in time were caught within it. They cried mournfully as their vital essence and blood were sucked dry.

When he heard the roar so close at hand, Fatty’s face turned deathly pale. “I-it’s so over!”

It seemed he was truly reaching his limit. Not only was he running slower and slower, even the layer of golden light was almost invisible.

“I don’t want to die!” he wailed, inexplicably glancing at Gu Han.

Gu Han’s face changed dramatically. “Fatty, what are you thinking?! Don’t even think of doing anything foolish! Even if you use me as bait, you still won’t get away!”

Fatty became somewhat uncomfortable. “You got me wrong... It’s just a misunderstanding. I just wanted to see if you were okay...”

Gu Han gritted his teeth resentfully. I’m going to find a chance later and give him a good beating.

In the end, Fatty didn’t do something shameless. After seeing the demonic beasts getting closer and closer, he gradually fell into despair.

“We’re going to die...”

Suddenly, Gu Han shouted, “Fatty, ahead! There’s a cave, quick! Hide in it!”

The fatty’s spirits lifted. “Where? Where is it?”

His eyes darted around, instantly spotting the inconspicuous rock crevice not far ahead. Inside, there was an entrance that was barely large enough for one person.

“Let’s hide there for now!” suggested Gu Han.

Overjoyed, Fatty’s dissipating golden light actually lit up once again.

Gu Han was already beyond surprise. It seems whenever this guy hears there’s a chance to live, his potential becomes bottomless!

Under full power, Fatty managed to drag Gu Han into the rock crevice within seconds.

Behind them, the ground shook and the mountains swayed. The two had narrowly brushed past that group of demonic beasts.

The fatty let out a long sigh of relief. “We’re safe for now...”

Gu Han’s gaze turned sharp. “Fatty, go inside.”

The fatty was stunned, then seemed to sense something. “Huh? What a coincidence!?”

He pulled Gu Han and strode into the cave.

Inside, there was a disheveled figure covered in bloodstains. They trembled as they stood up. Their voice was still pleasant, though its cool clarity had given way to a noticeable tremble. “G-Gu Han? You really didn’t die?”

The voice was still pleasant, albeit it has lost its cool clarity, gaining a noticeable tremble.

Gu Han laughed, not from joy, but from sheer bloodlust. He slowly raised his sword, walking step by step to the front.

Although his sword hand trembled uncontrollably, the killing intent in his eyes grew stronger and stronger.

“Remember what I said before, Liu Ying?”
