Supreme Sword Exalt

“Mei Yun, you jinx!”

“If you can’t speak properly, then don’t speak at all!”

“We should have known better than to bring The Jinx along! He’s better off staying back at the martial academy!”

Under everyone’s accusations, Mei Yun wore a look of total innocence, even of a victim. Since when did my words become this powerful?

“Stop arguing! The most urgent matter right now is—hm?” Han Fu frowned deeply. Just then, he finally caught a clear look at the features of that stumbling figure. “It’s the Seventh Prince!”

Upon seeing Jiang Feng, Mei Yun’s expression shifted dramatically. “Seventh Prince?! Why are you so badly injured? Where are the other two?”

Jiang Feng had gone all out to reach this place as quickly as possible, and was now at the end of his rope. “Instructor Mei, hurry! Yu Hua... Yu Hua and my eldest brother want to kill Brother Gu! Hurry... go save them!”

Mei Yun’s expression changed drastically. “What?!”

Han Fu’s heart also sank.”That’s outrageous! How audacious! Right under the noses of the three deputy deans—”

Jiang Feng’s face was full of bitterness. “Instructor Han, it’s no use. They used some unknown method to lure the three deputy deans away.”

Another instructor nearby panicked. “What? The three deputy deans aren’t here?! Then what about this demonic beast riot? What do we do?!”

Everyone’s expressions turned grave. Without Elder Wu and the others, the situation they faced instantly became much more severe.

“Let’s go, get inside quickly!”

“Right! Before the demonic beasts arrive, we need to get them out of there!”

“What about the trial?”

“At a time like this, who gives a damn about the trial?!”

Still, they hadn’t spent years working as instructors for nothing. They quickly regained their composure and made necessary arrangements.

Jiang Feng looked at Han Fu. “Instructor Han, please do something... Please save Brother Gu and the others. We must hurry or it’ll be too late!”

Mei Yun’s eyes were bloodshot. “Instructor Han, we can’t let anything happen to them!”

In his heart, Mei Yun understood clearly that he was slightly weaker. Even if he went, he couldn’t guarantee their safety. However, Han Fu was different. He was a ninth-stage Spirit Profound realm. With Elder Wu and the other two absent, he was basically the strongest expert in the martial academy.

Han Fu didn’t hesitate at all. “Alright. Let’s save those two first. As for the demonic beast riot, you all go ahead and make arrangements, I’ll catch up later. How dare Yu Hua openly violate the martial academy’s rules... I won’t let him get away with this!”

Without wasting any time, he quickly took Jiang Feng and Mei Yun, rushing toward the battlefield.

Within the trial grounds, Gu Han and Fatty lay on the ground, neither speaking.

After a long while, Fatty suddenly sighed. “Forget it. At least we’re not dead.”

Gu Han nodded. “As long as we’re not dead, there’s a chance for revenge.”

Fatty was speechless. “If I’m not mistaken, what you used earlier was one of those divine powers that overdraws lifespan and potential, right?”

Gu Han didn’t hide it from him. “It’s the Blood Spirit Art. It uses flesh, blood, and vital energy as a guide, doubling combat power for half a quarter of an hour.”

Fatty hesitated for a moment. “Then... do you know that you’re done for?”

Gu Han remained expressionless. “I know. Anyway, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. I’m used to it.”

The Blood Spirit Art consumed one’s flesh, blood, vital energy, and foundation, hence the immense backlash. His body was now completely ruined. Although the strange meridians and his cultivation level weren’t affected, the future of his cultivation path had ended. Unless he encountered some other great fortune, even his lifespan would be affected.

Upon seeing Gu Han so calm, Fatty lost it. “And you’re still thinking about revenge? In your current state, what are you going to use to get revenge?”

“My sword.”

“Sword?”

Thinking of Gu Han’s final sword strike, Fatty fell into thought. He had always relied on his incredibly high defense, believing no one could break it, and acted without restraint. Yet not even he was confident he could block Gu Han’s rather peculiar sword strike.

His interest was greatly piqued. “What’s the sword strike called?”

“Kill Sword.”

Fatty’s eyes lit up, his tone turning enthusiastic. “Kill Sword? Teach me, will you?”

“I can’t teach it. And you can’t learn it anyway.”

Fatty was furious. “My ass! Don’t look down on people! My talent is peerless, everyone praises me. Many people have begged on their knees to take me as a disciple, and I wouldn’t even glance at them. And you actually—”

Gu Han sighed. “That sword strike is born from facing death. Can you do that?”

Fatty’s words got caught in his throat. He really couldn’t.

Gu Han thought for a moment before saying, “If you do want to learn, I can teach you the Blood Spirit Art.”

Fatty’s face changed. “No thanks! That kind of sinister thing, harming yourself to kill the enemy? Why would I want it? But you, with your Kill Sword and Blood Spirit Art, have quite a few good things on you. Speaking of which, we’ve faced life and death together now. Don’t be stingy, take out all your good stuff, let me see if there’s anything suitable for me—hm?”

Just then, Fatty’s expression changed dramatically. “Do you feel that something’s not right?”

Gu Han’s expression also became somewhat uneasy. “A little.”

Due to their sharp spirit perception, they detected the slight tremors coming from the ground.

Fatty looked like he was about to cry. “No... it can’t be, right?”

Gu Han sighed. “Fatty, it seems like the two of us are in for a streak of bad luck.”

Grrrrr!

As if on cue, beast roars sounded one after another, and the trembling of the ground intensified.

Fatty was panicking. “That’s impossible! How can it be such a coincidence that I keep running into all this shitty luck? And it hasn’t even been a month since the last demonic beast riot, how could—”

The two looked at each other, a figure flashed through their minds. Mei Yun!

Fatty was heartbroken and full of despair. “Ah! Why didn’t I think of it sooner! Nothing good ever happens when this guy is around. First stepping in demonic beast dung, then getting ambushed, and now a demonic beast riot again! If I had known, I wouldn’t have let him come along even if you beat me to death! It’s over... Completely over! I—”

Grrrr!

A beast roar interrupted him, extremely close this time, as though the two had been contaminated by Mei Yun’s black qi.

Gritting his teeth, Fatty instantly sprang up. “No! I can’t die! I have to live!”

He gritted his teeth. Then, a layer of golden light covered him again. However, it was extremely dim, as if it would shatter at any moment.

“You want to eat me? Dream on!”

Forcing his cultivation caused his injuries to flare up, and he vomited large mouthfuls of blood. However, driven by the instinct to survive, he could no longer care about that.

Under Gu Han’s stunned gaze, he sprinted away while coughing blood, disappearing from sight in an instant.

Gu Han was speechless. Now, he finally understood just how afraid of death Fatty really was.

Suddenly, he seemed to remember something. His expression shifted, and he cursed loudly, “Wait! Damn Fatty, get back here! What the hell are you doing, leaving me here like this!”

The demonic beast riot came so suddenly that the students had fallen into complete chaos.

“Why?! Why are there so many more demonic beasts all of a sudden?!”

“Weren’t we told the highest would be Tier 4 demonic beasts? W-why are there even Tier 5 demonic beasts appearing?!”

A student tremblingly pointed into the distance. “Quick... run! There’s even more of them!”

The ground shook even more violently. Even from far away, everyone could feel those shocking, explosive auras. Those definitely weren’t low-tier demonic beasts.

Grrrr!

In the blink of an eye, hordes of demonic beasts appeared.

“Save me!”

This was the first time everyone had encountered such a situation. Although they knew they should hide, their legs felt like lead, refusing to move.

The next moment, they were swallowed by the beast tide. Such tragedies were happening everywhere within the trial grounds.

He Zhong lay prone under an ancient tree, watching the horde rushing past not far away. He was pale, and did not dare to even breathe loudly. Demonic beast riots are too terrifying!

Never had he missed Han Fu more intensely. However, Han Fu was destined not to make it in time.

***

In a dense forest, Han Fu was locked in a fierce struggle with a Tier 6 demonic beast. Its appearance was so bizarre and unpredictable. Logically speaking, even during a demonic beast riot, a demonic beast of such a tier shouldn’t have appeared so quickly.

Not far away, Mei Yun was sweating profusely with anxiety. “Instructor Han, I’ll help you. Let’s finish this quickly and go save those two!”

Upon hearing this, Han Fu’s face changed. “Don’t come over! Time is limited, you go on ahead! Don’t worry about me. I’ll keep it occupied and find a chance to regroup with you later.”

Mei Yun immediately agreed. “Alright.”

He also knew that with every moment wasted, the hope of saving Gu Han and Fatty grew smaller.

He grabbed Jiang Feng. “Your Highness, let’s go!”

Glancing back at Han Fu, Mei Yun felt deeply moved. Instructor Han...

Although Han Fu was usually a man of few words, always putting on a stern face, he was truly a responsible and righteous man.

After seeing Mei Yun leave, Han Fu breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Stay with you? Are you kidding me? If I stay with you any longer, I’m afraid there won’t be just one Tier 6 demonic beast!

***

Grrrr!

The demonic beast’s cry echoed again. Gritting his teeth, Gu Han forced himself to stand up again. In his heart, he had already cursed Fatty ten thousand times.

He sighed softly. “To think that I didn’t die by Yu Hua’s hand, but in the mouth of a demonic beast—”

Without letting him finish, a demonic beast emerged from one side, glowering. It charged recklessly toward him, as if it had lost all reason.

Gu Han took a deep breath and raised his sword. “Tier 3, huh...”

Suddenly, Fatty’s extremely anxious voice reached his ears. “Come on, Brother Gu! Hold on! I’m coming to save you!”

Gu Han felt a sense of relief and exhaled. “Damn Fatty! At least you have some conscience—”

The moment he glanced back, he froze completely. Behind Fatty were two more demonic beasts. Judging by their aura alone, they were at least Tier 4.
