Chaos Heavenly Emperor Technique

Chapter 747: Chapter 748: Blood God Sect! (1 more)

While Ling Feng and the others were wholeheartedly preparing for the Five Academy Sword Team competition, Despicable Donkey, who had been chased all over the world by the Human Emperor experts of the Heavenly Alliance, was not having quite the carefree existence.

”Damn, you’ve killed your Donkey Dad!”

Despicable Donkey shook his donkey tail and placed his hooves akimbo, panting and saying, ”Who would’ve thought the Heavenly Alliance had so many masters! Humph, if this Divine Beast had recovered its cultivation, one hoof would’ve sent all those damned pests straight to the Western Paradise!”

After catching his breath, Despicable Donkey leaned against a giant stone and mused somewhat strangely, ”But speaking of which, those guys just mysteriously stopped chasing. They must’ve known about this Divine Beast’s prowess and didn’t dare come forward to court death.”

Little did he know, the mess he’d left behind had already been cleaned up by Ling Feng.

Now, the Heavenly Alliance had already retracted the Heavenly Chasing Order against him and communicated it through special means to all branches within the Empire.

Upon receiving this news, the Human Emperors who had been chasing Despicable Donkey naturally left one after another.

Firstly, after several days of clashing with Despicable Donkey, they truly realized how formidable he was. If this donkey chose to fight desperately, it might just take several of them down with it.

Secondly, for all the foul and indecent talk by Despicable Donkey, who went straight for the low blows, he hadn’t actually taken any lives. Between the two sides, there hadn’t been an irreconcilable feud that warranted death.

But no matter what, Despicable Donkey had finally escaped the fate of being hunted down.

”I’ve ended up in this damned Western Wilderness again!”

With a light sigh, Despicable Donkey had fled without choosing his path and ended up heading west, where, besides scattered rocks everywhere, even trees were exceedingly rare.

After resting for a while longer, when Despicable Donkey found that no one was following him, he was sure that he had indeed shaken off those Human Emperor experts from the Heavenly Alliance.

”It seems I’m finally safe now.”

Despicable Donkey was not in a hurry to return to Ling Feng’s side, after all, he still didn’t know the reason behind the events. He would find out about the situation first before deciding on his next move.

Chased for many days, Despicable Donkey, with his weary body, hoped to find a human city where he could rest for a few days no matter what.

Following the road ahead, after an unknown amount of time, Despicable Donkey finally found a city, neither too big nor too small.

Because it was located in the Western Wilderness, the entire city resembled more of an Earth Castle, and the people living in the small town struggled with chronic shortages of food and water.

Despicable Donkey draped a cloak over himself and entered the small town, only to find something strange about the city; every pedestrian who looked at him seemed to have a weird look in their eyes.

”Something’s not right, have they seen this Divine Beast’s handsome face through the cloak?”

Despicable Donkey frowned deeply and, without concerning himself with the rest, entered a guesthouse made of mud bricks.

Of course, inside the guesthouse was just as bleak, with hardly any customers.

”Guest, are you here to grab a bite or to stay for the night?”

The inn’s waiter immediately came over, handing Despicable Donkey a menu with a smile.

”Let’s start with something to eat,” Despicable Donkey said lightly, pursing his lips, ”I’m saying, brother, is there something going on in this town? The people outside seem a bit off in their heads.”

”Shh...”

The waiter looked around vigilantly and quickly made a silence gesture, lowering his voice, ”Guest, you’re not a local, are you? If not, you’d better leave quickly after your meal!”

”Leave?”

Despicable Donkey crossed his hooves in front of his chest, ”Heh heh, I’ve only ever come out to do all kinds of evil deeds... I’ve never heard that I also need to take refuge! Tell me, what exactly happened around here?”

”It’s all that Blood... the Blood God Sect stirring up trouble!”

The inn assistant spoke with trembling fear, ”Not long ago, a Taoist who claimed to be a disciple under the ’Blood Sword Heavenly Monarch’ suddenly arrived in our Wuxi City. He set up a Magic Platform in the city, saying that he wanted to spread his religion, urging the people of our city to join some Blood God Sect!”

”Blood God Sect? What is that?” Despicable Donkey said with a disdainful face.

”Shh!—”

The inn assistant immediately broke out in cold sweat, ”Sir, such words should not be spoken, the protectors of that Blood God Sect really possess Divine Skills! They can make those who are sickly suddenly become as vigorous as dragons and tigers, and they even claim that ordinary people, who have no Cultivation Talent and are doomed to never step into the Qi Condensation Realm in their lifetime, can also possess their own Spirit Root. Eventually, they say that even ordinary people can perform feats like the Martial Artists, such as Fei Tian Dun Di, and even become Immortal!”

”Hmph!” Despicable Donkey snorted coldly, ”So there’s a protector, eh? Brother, with such a good deal, why don’t you go?”

”I’m not stupid!” the inn assistant whispered, ”After all, I’ve tried to join a sect for Cultivation before, though I failed, but I still have some common knowledge about the Sect World. Spirit Roots are born, not made. Forced cultivation must have side effects. This Blood God Sect or whatever, is certainly an Evil... Sect!”

When the assistant uttered the last two words, he did so in silence, only mouthing them without daring to speak out loud.

”You do have some sense.” Despicable Donkey nodded, thinking to himself: Even if it’s an Evil Cultivator, usually, they only need to kill ordinary people and Refine their essence blood. Why deceive these ignorant fools and create something like the Blood God Sect?

This matter, I’m afraid, is not simple!

”There might be some Treasure in this Blood God Sect!”

Despicable Donkey’s eyes suddenly lit up with keenness. Being of the Demon Clan, he had no concept of good or evil in his view — to him, there was only the difference between Treasures and trash!

”Hey, I say, sir, this Wuxi City has already become one of the four major Magic Platforms of the Blood God Sect, it’s better not to talk too much about these matters. Would you like something to eat?” the inn assistant changed the subject, asking with a smile.

”Then bring me some of your signature dishes!”

”Oh, our donkey meat burger here is...” the inn assistant blurted out, only to be sent flying with a kick from Despicable Donkey the next moment.

”Scram!—”

...

The night deepened.

Despicable Donkey decided to take a chance and make a nighttime visit to the Magic Platform of the Blood God Sect!

Based on the inn assistant’s description, coupled with Despicable Donkey’s own observations of the passersby, most of these people seemed to have had some of their Qi-Blood drawn away. Yet, it appeared as though they were practicing some kind of evil Cultivation Technique. Their emotions had become quite dull, but at the same time, they also became immensely strong and were no longer afraid of pain.

”Evil Technique! Definitely Evil Technique!”

Despicable Donkey wasn’t interested in Evil Techniques, but he had developed a strong interest in this suddenly emerged Blood God Sect.

It seemed that the last time they went to Wangduan Mountain, they hadn’t heard of a Blood God Sect in the Western Wilderness.

The ability to grow to such a scale in just over a month’s time implied that the Sect Hierarch of the Blood God Sect must be extraordinary, and there was a very high chance he held an extremely powerful Evil Artifact!

Since he happened to stumble upon it, he might as well take down this Blood God Sect in passing, which could be considered making some extra money!

(PS: Regarding the Blood God Sect, there are indeed some hints about it in the previous Chapters. Everyone can take a guess — who is the Sect Hierarch of the Blood God Sect? Hint: Reflect on the four words ’Blood Sword Heavenly Monarch’.)
