Chaos Heavenly Emperor Technique

Chapter 550: Chapter 550: The Seed of Chaos! (4 more)

”Who I am doesn’t matter.”

Kong sat cross-legged, fixing his gaze on Ling Feng with a calm expression, ”What matters is, like him, you too possess the Blood of the Emperor.”

Ling Feng felt intimidated by Kong’s stare, filled with doubts that when they reached his lips, he had no idea where to begin.

”It seems I have been waiting for you for quite a while.”

Kong raised an eyebrow, confusing Ling Feng even more.

”You, waiting for me?” Ling Feng pointed to his nose, ”You knew I would come?”

”Strictly speaking, it was this fellow here who knew you would come.” Kong pointed to the withered corpse beside him, speaking indifferently, ”The Heavenly Dao’s Son always has too many incomprehensible abilities. Haven’t you mastered a few Divine Patterns yourself, yet still fail to understand?”

Ling Feng took in a sharp breath, realizing that Kong knew all about the secret of the Emperor’s Eye. This showed his close relationship with the long-dead Heavenly Dao’s Son.

”Go!” Kong pointed again to a cave behind him, ”Enter. Inside, there is a gift from your predecessor!”

”A gift?” Ling Feng blinked, his mind still foggy, and then oddly suggested there was some gift from a predecessor.

But still, Ling Feng looked toward the cave behind Kong; a call from deep within his soul seemed to be emanating from it.

”Quickly go inside.” Kong urged again, ”Whatever questions you have, you might find answers inside.”

Ling Feng felt exasperated, although Kong, unlike the saintly and dignified character of Jiang Xuanyu, diffused the topic anytime the Heavenly Dao’s Son was mentioned, leaving it vague and unwilling to explain.

What exactly was the taboo concerning the Heavenly Dao’s Son?

And the legendary enemy of the Heavenly Dao’s Son, the Sky Patrol Clan, just how terrifying was their power that made all these formidable beings remain silent?

Ling Feng clenched his fists—he was still far from powerful!

Taking a deep breath, Ling Feng strode toward the cave.

”Hehe, a Chaos Seed nurtured by the Heavenly Dao’s Son at the expense of all his strength, what a bargain for you!”

Watching Ling Feng’s figure disappear into the cave, Kong murmured to himself, ”Only after you emerge from this cave will you understand what the power of a Heavenly Dao’s Son is.”

With that, Kong sat down cross-legged and slowly closed his eyes.

...

Inside the cave, the light was extremely dim. Ling Feng, filled with suspicions, faintly felt that he might find some answers here.

Soon, Ling Feng arrived at a cavern where he could distinctly hear the sound of dripping water.

”Hello, is anyone there?” Ling Feng blinked, scanning the surrounding environment.

In the center of the cavern was a square pond, about ten feet across, and in the middle of the pond was a Lotus Platform.

However, the Lotus Platform was empty; there was nothing on it.

”Weren’t there supposed to be some gifts inside? Why is there just a Lotus Platform?”

Ling Feng frowned and murmured softly, ”It seems, within this Lotus Platform, there lies another mystery.”

Taking a deep breath, Ling Feng slowly walked onto the Lotus Platform, when suddenly, the Lotus Platform in the middle of the pond burst forth with an incredibly dazzling golden light.

The golden light gradually concentrated, forming a half-human-tall Golden Monkey, bouncing and hopping energetically on the platform, its eyes spinning animatedly.

”What are you?” Ling Feng stared in astonishment, unable to help but ask.

”Let me clear your confusion first,” the Golden Monkey astonishingly spoke up. Sitting upright on the Lotus Platform, it calmly said, ”Don’t you want to know what the Heavenly Dao’s Son is?”

With its hands folded across its chest, the Golden Monkey wore a look of immense pride. ”The Son of the Heavenly Dao is the strongest bloodline in the world, a remarkably powerful race. Possessing the Blood of the Emperor within oneself is to be the Son of the Heavenly Dao.”

”Don’t tell me you are also a Son of the Heavenly Dao, a Golden Monkey?” Ling Feng felt his worldview crumbling. Could it be that his ancestors belonged to the Demon Clan?

”Demon Clan? How could you think the noble Son of the Heavenly Dao belongs to the Demon Clan?” The Golden Monkey seemed able to peer into Ling Feng’s heart, speaking lightly, ”Just because someone is hairy, are they a monkey? Is it strange for a race born from Chaos to resemble apes?”

”Uh...” Ling Feng rolled his eyes. It seemed to make sense; no problem there!

”So, you’re also a Son of the Heavenly Dao?” Ling Feng guessed, blinking his eyes.

”Oh, no,” the Golden Monkey shook its head.

”Pfft...” Ling Feng almost spat out a mouthful of blood; after all this time, this guy wasn’t his ancestor!

”Oh? You thought I was a residual soul from that dried corpse outside?” The Golden Monkey grinned, ”Didn’t that old Dragon clarify? The master’s Divine Soul has completely vanished. Managing to escape to the Ancient Cave of Time was already a stroke of sheer luck amidst misfortune.”

”Escape?” Ling Feng’s eyelids twitched, ”From whom? The Sky Patrol Clan?”

”Wow, you even know about the Sky Patrol Clan; you do know quite a bit,” the Golden Monkey took a deep breath and slowly said, ”You only need to know that the Sky Patrol Clan is the biggest enemy of the Sons of the Heavenly Dao. If you don’t want to be persecuted by the Sky Patrol Clan like your ancestors, you’d better start growing stronger quickly!”

”So, my grandfather, my father...” Ling Feng clenched his fists, now vaguely understanding why his parents had left him and why Grandfather (Ling Hanyang) had suddenly died.

They, like himself, were Sons of the Heavenly Dao with the Blood of the Emperor!

”Put away your weakness!”

The Golden Monkey interrupted Ling Feng’s thoughts, speaking sternly, ”Every Son of the Heavenly Dao cannot escape their destiny. The moment your Emperor’s Eye opens, it is destined that you will eventually face the powerful Sky Patrol Clan.”

The Golden Monkey took a deep breath, ”My master was a failure. He pinned his hopes on his descendants, and that descendant is you.”

Ling Feng clenched his fists; he had no right to be weak. No matter who the enemy was, if he wanted to survive, he just needed to become stronger than them.

Seeing the change in Ling Feng’s eyes, the Golden Monkey nodded slightly, then turned serious, ”Are you ready? Next, I will integrate the Chaos Seed into your body. Focus your mind, don’t let it wander!”

”The Chaos Seed?”

Ling Feng’s eyelids twitched. He didn’t quite understand what the Golden Monkey meant, but he still nodded emphatically, concentrating his mind, ready to accept the ”Chaos Seed” as mentioned by the Golden Monkey.

”Here I come!”

In an instant, at the center of the Lotus Platform, the golden light burst forth. The Golden Monkey abruptly dispersed, transforming into beams of golden light, merging into Ling Feng from all directions.

Ling Feng felt that the bloodline flowing within him seemed to be fully activated, as if an unparalleled strength was buried inside him.

It was a force capable of destroying Heaven and Earth, and one day, it might fully erupt.

By then, he would become the true, Son of the Heavenly Dao!
