Dragon Blood Saint Emperor

”Let’s go!”

Young Master Xie Qing’s eyes flickered. He gave Dongfang Youdi a deep, long look before turning to leave with Baihua Fairy. Even though this place was Baihua Fairy’s own restaurant, they had to go.

The crowd’s gazes fixed on them. It was clear that even Young Master Xie Qing—a peerless Celestial Pride with heaven-defying Combat Power—was wary of Dongfang Youdi, the most useless piece of trash in the Holy City!

After a final glance at Ye Wushuang, Young Master Xie Qing flew away with Baihua Fairy. ’I’m sure I’ll run into Ye Wushuang again,’ he thought. ’And it won’t be long.’

”Baihua Fairy, don’t go! Let me give you a physical examination.”

Dongfang Youdi shouted as Baihua Fairy departed, his voice echoing through the streets and alleys. It instantly made some of the young women in the crowd blush and scramble to get away.

The rest of the crowd felt their eyelids twitch, looking on speechlessly at Dongfang Youdi. ’A physical examination? That kind of examination would probably end up in bed.’ Only this menace would dare to harass Baihua Fairy so openly.

”Damn it, why’d you run off so fast?”

Dongfang Youdi cursed as the two figures vanished in an instant. He turned to look at Ye Wushuang’s group of three, or more accurately, his gaze landed on Lan Xinyu.

”Heh heh!” The guy gave a lewd smile, straightened his crooked crown, and hitched up his baggy robes as he walked toward Lan Xinyu.

”Hello there, missy!”

He extended a hand, reaching for Lan Xinyu.

But before his hand got halfway, another shot out in a flash and grabbed his wrist.

”If you so much as touch her, I guarantee you’ll regret it dearly.”

Ye Wushuang said coolly.

SWISH!

The crowd’s eyes widened as they stared at Ye Wushuang. ’This young man isn’t afraid of Dongfang Youdi!’

Dongfang Youdi carried the entire Dongfang Family on his shoulders. In the Holy City, that backing was a weapon that made him virtually untouchable. Who would dare to provoke him?

”Kid, if you touch me, the Dongfang Family will definitely touch you.” Dongfang Youdi turned to face Ye Wushuang, swiped a finger under his nose, and played the Dongfang Family card.

”You can try me. See if I don’t beat you to the point where you can’t even take care of yourself.”

Ye Wushuang narrowed his eyes as he spoke. His serious expression made it clear he wasn’t joking in the slightest.

Hearing this, Dongfang Youdi’s Taoo Hua eyes showed a flicker of astonishment. ”You’re not afraid of the Dongfang Family!”

”In my eyes, all families are the same. Anyone who dares to touch my people will either be crippled or killed,” Ye Wushuang said coldly. ’I’ve already offended so many people, including the Mo Family and the Zong Family right here in the Holy City. What difference would adding the Dongfang Family make? What difference would ten more make?’

The crowd’s eyelids twitched, their eyes wide. The Holy City’s number one scourge had finally met a fearless madman.

Dongfang Youdi was also taken aback for a moment. The coldness in Ye Wushuang’s eyes was completely undisguised; it seemed he was a man of his word.

”Holy shit, kid, you’ve got some serious nerve, threatening to cripple me.” Dongfang Youdi flew into a rage, rolling up his sleeves and stomping in front of Ye Wushuang, looking ready for a fight.

The crowd backed far away, keeping their distance from the Holy City’s number one scourge.

Ye Wushuang watched him quietly.

However, just as the tense crowd thought a battle was about to erupt, Dongfang Youdi’s next words stunned everyone, leaving them unable to react for a moment.

”Kid, looks like we need to have a little chat. I helped you chase those guys away just now, so shouldn’t you show a little appreciation?”

Under the crowd’s watchful eyes, Dongfang Youdi abruptly changed the subject. He extended a hand toward Ye Wushuang, glancing away as he heavily emphasized the part about ”appreciation.”

”Many thanks!”

Ye Wushuang’s eyes flashed as he coolly uttered two words. ’If it weren’t for Dongfang Youdi, there would have indeed been a major battle today.’

”That’s it?”

Dongfang Youdi was slow to react. He looked back at his palm, which was completely empty.

”Is there more?”

Ye Wushuang narrowed his eyes.

”I said, ’show some appreciation,’ kid. Don’t you get it?” Dongfang Youdi gestured at his own palm and thrust it in front of Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang nodded, took out a Jade Box, and said, ”This is the only thing I have on me.”

With that, he handed the Jade Box to Dongfang Youdi.

”Xinyu, let’s go.” Not wanting to get tangled up with him any longer, Ye Wushuang turned to leave with Lan Xinyu and the Xiaoo Yue Celestial Roc. ’I came to the Holy City to find my father and news of the Holy Medicine. I can’t afford any delays.’

’The only thing he has on him!’

Hearing Ye Wushuang’s words, Dongfang Youdi’s Taoo Hua eyes lit up. He wiped his nose and stared at the Jade Box.

Soon, however, his gaze fell upon a figure at his feet.

It was a cat. A white cat. A very fat one!

It was staring right at him.

”What are you looking at, kid? Lord Cat is way more handsome than you.”

The Dragon Cat spoke first, seizing the initiative.

Dongfang Youdi’s face darkened, the corner of his mouth twitching. ’Have I met my match today?’

”Got a problem with that?”

Just as Dongfang Youdi was about to speak, the Dragon Cat spoke up again, striking a pose that said, ’If you’ve got a problem, let’s fight.’

”Where did this Dead Cat come from? I really *do* have a problem with it.” Dongfang Youdi shifted his attention to the Dragon Cat, reaching down with one hand to grab it.

”You got a problem? Then come and get me.”

The Dragon Cat tossed out the taunt, its body flashing away in a streak of white light as it chased after Ye Wushuang. If anyone had been paying close attention, they would have noticed the brilliant, sly grin on the Dragon Cat’s face.

Watching the cat’s disappearing figure, the crowd’s mouths twitched violently. ’That cat is so shameless!’

”What are you looking at? Scram, scram, scram!” Dongfang Youdi shooed away the gawking crowd, then glared in the direction the Dragon Cat had vanished and cursed, ”Dead Cat, if I ever see you again, I’ll skin you alive.”

With that said, he turned his attention back to the Jade Box, a happy expression finally returning to his face. ’It must be some kind of treasure!’

With that thought, Dongfang Youdi opened the Jade Box. But in the next instant, he was completely dumbfounded, and the joy on his face vanished without a trace.

”Damn it, a single Low-Grade Spirit Stone!”

Dongfang Youdi’s face went black. There was nothing in the Jade Box but a single Low-Grade Spirit Stone. ’Ye Wushuang’s ”only thing” was just one Spirit Stone?’

”Kid, you’re messing with me! You just wait.”

Dongfang Youdi was fuming with rage. He thought Ye Wushuang had played him for a fool. However, the only thing Ye Wushuang could have taken out was, in fact, a Spirit Stone.

But the matter was far from over. When he went to put the Jade Box into his Storage Ring, he discovered that the ring, which had been packed full of items, was now completely empty.

’I’ve been robbed!’

Dongfang Youdi froze, looking around frantically, but found nothing. When he looked up into the distance, he could vaguely make out a cat clutching its belly, roaring with laughter.

’It’s that cat! It has to be!’ How could Dongfang Youdi not understand at this point? The thief was that cat. Only that cat had gotten close to him. ’No wonder its grin was so brilliant. That damned cat targeted me!’

”You wretched Dead Cat, get back here!”

Letting out a soul-tearing roar, Dongfang Youdi shot forward, chasing after the Dragon Cat like a wisp of smoke. His disheveled figure, dashing through the wind, made some of the onlookers’ eyes go wide.
