Dragon Blood Saint Emperor

The stone cave was quite dim and damp, with a faint, icy chill in the air.

Lan Xinyu carried Ye Wushuang into the cave. She found a relatively large stone block, took some clothes from her Storage Ring to use as padding, and then gently laid his body down.

Then, gazing at Ye Wushuang, his white robes stained red with blood, she reached for his collar. But halfway there, she hesitated and pulled her hand back.

’What am I afraid of?’

’I am his maid. Isn’t this how I’m supposed to serve him?’

’How can I shrink back? How can I be afraid!’

Gazing at the man lying before her, Lan Xinyu asked herself these questions. She then cast a quick glance toward the cave entrance before hastily looking away.

Then, she reached out once more and carefully began to remove Ye Wushuang’s bloody robes. The web of cracked, bloody gashes hidden underneath was instantly revealed.

Lan Xinyu’s hands froze instantly, her eyes trembling in disbelief. There were so many gashes they nearly tore Ye Wushuang’s body apart. She could only imagine the terrifying, searing pain. An ordinary person would have likely screamed themselves to death.

And yet, throughout their journey, Ye Wushuang had not uttered a single word or even so much as groaned. He had been enduring it all in silence. If she hadn’t removed his clothes, she would have never known.

”What kind of person are you, really?”

Gazing at the blood-soaked Ye Wushuang, a pang of heartache she couldn’t quite comprehend flickered across Lan Xinyu’s lovely face. Her movements grew even more gentle as she tried her best not to touch his wounds.

After a long time, she finally had all the bloody clothes removed. As she gently wiped the bloodstains from his body, any maidenly shyness was completely forgotten.

It took a full hour before Lan Xinyu finished cleaning the bloodstains off Ye Wushuang’s body and changed him into a set of purple robes.

This set of purple robes was something she had prepared long ago. However, Ye Wushuang preferred to wear plain white robes, so she had never taken them out. Now, with no other change of clothes, she had to make do.

At that very moment.

The Tai Chi Power was gradually mending Ye Wushuang’s injuries. The process was slow, but his wounds were visibly starting to close.

Lan Xinyu sat quietly by his side, her beautiful eyes fixed unblinkingly on his handsome face. His features were becoming more defined—sharp, resolute, and extraordinary.

Suddenly, she reached out to touch his face. She hesitated several times, her hand extending and retreating, before her delicate fingers finally made contact with his cheek. As she stroked it gently, a look of pure bliss spread across her face.

’I suppose only at a time like this would I dare...’

Her slender, delicate fingers gently traced the Golden Lotus Mark between his brows. A smile blossomed on her face. She thought to herself that only when he was in this state could she dare to be so close to him.

She had initially chosen to follow Ye Wushuang out of admiration and gratitude. But after spending time with him, that admiration had blossomed into love.

This was especially true after what happened in the Nirvana Cave Mansion. He had flown into a rage and killed a man, all because she was his maid. No one was allowed to lay a single finger on her. Those who dared would be met with death!

The memory made Lan Xinyu’s heart flutter.

But she was also well aware that Ye Wushuang didn’t have feelings for her; he saw her as nothing more than a maid. If she were to reveal any inappropriate desires, she feared he would drive her away without a second thought.

So, she could only bury those feelings deep in her heart.

Lan Xinyu continued to watch him quietly, never tiring. After a long while, her head finally stirred. She glanced back toward the cave entrance and extended her Divine Sense outside.

Seeing the Xiaoo Yue Celestial Roc standing guard outside, not entering, she retracted her Divine Sense. She turned back to Ye Wushuang’s face, a sudden impulse surging through her.

But her lovely face was a mask of hesitation and conflict.

’What if Xiaoo Yue comes in?’ At this moment, Lan Xinyu felt like a little girl doing something mischievous for the first time, her heart pounding with anxiety.

’He probably won’t come in!’

After checking outside the cave with her Divine Sense several more times, Lan Xinyu finally calmed her racing heart. Staring at Ye Wushuang’s face as if about to commit a forbidden act, she leaned down and pressed a kiss to his forehead. In that instant, her crimson lips met his skin.

However.

Just as she was lost in a moment of bliss, Ye Wushuang’s eyes snapped open!

Their eyes met. Lan Xinyu froze, her own eyes widening as her long lashes fluttered.

Lan Xinyu was dumbstruck!

She had worried that the Xiaoo Yue Celestial Roc might barge in, but she had never once considered that Ye Wushuang himself would wake up so soon and catch her in such an awkward position.

After a moment of stunned silence, a deep blush crept up Lan Xinyu’s face.

However.

The thought that she had offended Ye Wushuang drained all the color from her face, leaving it pale with fear. She scrambled backward and immediately dropped to her knees.

”Y-Young Master,” Lan Xinyu stammered, kneeling with her head bowed, too afraid to look at him. ”I... I didn’t mean to offend you!” Her terrified voice was a jumbled mess.

Ye Wushuang was also stunned for a moment before sitting up. He truly hadn’t expected her to kiss him. He could still faintly feel the warmth of her lips on his forehead.

Ye Wushuang slowly sat up. He glanced down at his clothes, then over at the terrified Lan Xinyu kneeling on the floor. A faint smile touched his lips.

Then, he said, ”Get up.”

Hearing him, Lan Xinyu did as she was told and stood up, hastily explaining, ”Young Master, your clothes were soaked with blood, so I took the liberty of changing you into these purple robes!”

Ye Wushuang looked down at the purple robes, which still carried a faint, sweet scent. Of course he knew she was the one who had changed him.

”I know. Wait over there for a moment,” Ye Wushuang said to her. He then sat cross-legged, took out some Treasure Medicines and Treasure Pills, and swallowed them. His Tai Chi Power was recovering too slowly; he had to rely on these to heal his injuries.

「Seven days passed in the blink of an eye.」

Lan Xinyu had been standing quietly to the side, not moving an inch.

SWISH!

Ye Wushuang’s eyes flew open, releasing two beams of golden light that flashed like lightning in the dim cave before vanishing.

’I’m about eighty percent healed. It should only take a few more days to make a full recovery.’ Examining his condition, Ye Wushuang had a clear grasp of his progress.

Then, Ye Wushuang turned toward Lan Xinyu.

Lan Xinyu was watching him as well, but she quickly lowered her head.

Ye Wushuang’s brow furrowed, and a chill emanated from him.

Lan Xinyu felt that coldness as well. She was certain now: Ye Wushuang was furious.
