Dragon Blood Saint Emperor

The task of reforging the Dragon Blood Battle Saber was left to the Craftsman Emperor, who had one month to complete it.

With several types of Celestial Treasure Spirit Essence being added this time, there was no need to worry about the final quality of the Dragon Blood Battle Saber. Plus, the Craftsman Emperor had guaranteed it would be serviceable for a good while.

Of course, ’a good while’ was all it would be!

After leaving Juwang Valley, he planned to enter seclusion and devote himself completely to his cultivation. If he didn’t break through to the Spiritual Spring Realm, competing on the Barbarian God Battle Platform would be pointless.

By the time he returned to Cyan Profound Peak, it was already afternoon.

Ye Rou and Yangg Qing’er hadn’t gone into seclusion. It seemed they were waiting for Ye Wushuang.

When Ye Rou saw Ye Wushuang return, she walked forward with a smile. ”Finished with your business?”

”Mhm!” Ye Wushuang nodded, his gaze sweeping the surroundings. He suddenly asked, ”By the way, where’s Qing’er?”

Ye Rou explained, ”After you left, everyone on Cyan Profound Peak got back to work. No one is slacking off, which has lightened the workload considerably. Once I finished taking care of things at Cyan Profound Hall, I had Qing’er return to her seclusion.”

’Looks like the intimidation tactic worked!’

Ye Wushuang thought. ’Making an example of them really was effective. No one will dare to be so presumptuous in the future.’

”And another thing...” Recalling something, Ye Rou couldn’t help but laugh. ”Elder Rong and Elder Zhang slapped their own faces a hundred times, voluntarily resigned from their posts as Elders, and have gone to the prison to serve as gatekeepers.”

”They think they can get away from me just by resigning their posts as Elders!” Ye Wushuang scoffed. ’Whether they’re Elders or gatekeepers, neither of them can escape Cyan Profound Peak.’

Ye Wushuang said, ”Let’s not worry about them. I’ll arrange a few things, then I’ll prepare to enter seclusion.”

Ye Rou suddenly remembered something and said, ”Xiaoshuang, someone from Fengtian Peak came by earlier. The Sect Master has summoned everyone for an urgent matter and wants us to head over.”

”An urgent matter?” Ye Wushuang was speechless. He had just come down from Fengtian Peak, and now he had to go back up again. This was such a hassle.

After a moment’s thought, Ye Wushuang and Ye Rou set off for Fengtian Peak again.

Fengtian Hall.

It was an extremely tall and magnificent structure located in the center of Fengtian Peak.

At this moment, a large crowd had gathered inside Fengtian Hall.

Inside the hall, besides Sect Master Nangong Liuyun, there was also Star Elder and four ashen-haired old men in gray robes.

Although the four gray-robed men were old, they had ruddy complexions and sharp, penetrating eyes. Their auras were terrifyingly powerful, surpassing even Nangong Liuyun’s.

These four old men were the Sect-Protecting Elders of the Ancient Spirit Sect. They would not show themselves unless there was a major event, so very few people even knew of their existence.

Aside from them, Elder Yunn, Elder Wuu, and a crowd of other Elders were also present. Dii Qingxue, Jian Bufan, Yee Qianmo, Mo Wentian, and Yunn Xiao were there as well, along with all disciples at the True Essence Ninth Layer and above.

Ye Wushuang and Ye Rou arrived promptly, but by the time they got there, everyone else was already present.

”What’s going on? Even the Sect-Protecting Elders are here this time!”

”Not sure. Let’s just wait and see.”

The crowd began to murmur amongst themselves.

Ye Wushuang stared, his eyes fixed on them. The auras of the four old men were just like his master, Star Elder’s—they were clearly all powerhouses at the Yin Yang Realm.

This greatly surprised Ye Wushuang. ’I’ve really underestimated the Ancient Spirit Sect,’ he thought. ’With ten thousand years of history, it must have countless experts. What I’m seeing now is likely just the tip of the iceberg.’

Ye Wushuang’s gaze eventually landed on Star Elder. He sat there quietly, his eyes closed. Although he concealed it well, a trace of paleness could still be seen between his brows.

This only strengthened Ye Wushuang’s resolve. ’I have to find a Holy Medicine and save my master!’

”It is time. Everyone, quiet down and listen to what I have to say.” A moment later, Nangong Liuyun stood up and gestured with his hand, and the crowd immediately fell silent.

Ye Wushuang and Ye Rou moved to stand beside Dii Qingxue, Jian Bufan, and the others, their attention fixed on Nangong Liuyun.

”I’ve hurriedly summoned everyone here today for two reasons,” Nangong Liuyun announced, his voice ringing out. ”The first concerns our preparations for the Barbarian God Battle Platform.”

”The Barbarian God Battle Platform... some of you may be familiar with it. It is not merely a grand event in the Endless Wilderness, but also a great opportunity. Besides sparring, you can also seize karmic opportunities and treasures, bringing glory to the Sect. More importantly, it is tied to the very rise and fall of our Sect.”

”The rise and fall of the Sect?”

Hearing the gravity in Nangong Liuyun’s tone, the crowd was filled with confusion.

”You’re all very confused, I see,” Nangong Liuyun explained. ”The Barbarian God Battle Platform is not just a contest between disciples, but also one between the Sects themselves. The final results determine the ranking of the various powers. The higher the rank, the more Destiny one is blessed with. It also increases our fame, allowing the Sect to absorb more new blood, which is beneficial for its development.”

As Nangong Liuyun continued his explanation, the crowd began to understand.

The Barbarian God Battle Platform was a relic left behind by the Barbarian God Race from ancient times. It could increase the Destiny of the challengers, and by extension, their Sects.

Moreover, the participating Sects would be ranked based on their disciples’ performance. The higher the rank, the greater the fame, which brought immense benefits for recruiting disciples and strengthening the Sect.

Nangong Liuyun continued, ”The last few times, the Ancient Spirit Sect was fortunate to make it into the top ten, which is why we have been able to develop to our current state. However, this Battle Platform will be different from the previous ones. I estimate that after this competition, the Endless Wilderness is due for a major reshuffle.”

As he spoke of a ”major reshuffle,” Nangong Liuyun’s tone grew noticeably heavier, and even the four Sect-Protecting Elders at his side looked grim.

The crowd vaguely guessed what this ”major reshuffle” entailed. It would likely be a great purge, where weaker powers were annexed or eliminated, and the territories of the Endless Wilderness carved up anew.

”This major reshuffle means the Ancient Spirit Sect will be fraught with peril. If we fail on the Barbarian God Battle Platform, our Ancient Spirit Sect will be left far behind by the other powers, and we may even face the danger of annihilation. Therefore, I have only one request of you: secure the tenth-place position.”

Nangong Liuyun looked at his five strongest disciples. They were the key to this Battle Platform. He wasn’t asking for much—tenth place would be enough.

Ye Wushuang inquired, ”Sect Master, what is the strength of the other sects’ disciples?”

The others looked at Nangong Liuyun with curiosity, just as eager to know. After all, the more they understood beforehand, the better they could prepare.

”A good question! This is precisely why I’ve summoned you.”

Nangong Liuyun said, ”The other Major Sects are incredibly powerful. Many of them possess legacies from ancient times, and their foundations are even deeper than ours. As for how many hidden prodigies they have, we only have a rough idea at present. One thing is certain, though: they have no fewer top-tier disciples than our Ancient Spirit Sect, and their individual strength is not the least bit inferior.”

”Take the Fiery Sun Sect, for example. They have eight top disciples, led by their number one prodigy, Yang Dingtian.”

”The Fiery Sun Sect... Yang Dingtian!”

At the mention of this name, a cold light flashed in Ye Wushuang’s eyes. That man had hunted him relentlessly in the Earth Palace.

”Besides the Fiery Sun Sect, there are many other powerful sects. I have some information on them here. Take these and look them over.” Nangong Liuyun took out several small booklets.

An Elder took them and began distributing them to the disciples.

Ye Wushuang received one as well and opened it.

”One King, Two Hegemons, Three Belles, Four Prodigies!”

These large words were displayed on the very first page.
