Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

Wei’en remained silent. He knew that Tina’s condition was exactly as Ales had described.

”Brother, I want to go home...”

”Okay,” Wei’en said, patting her on the head. ”Wait for me a little while.”

”Okay.”

Tina gazed at him, a smile gracing her face for the first time. It was warm, pure, and lovely, like that of an innocent girl untouched by the world.

Wei’en rose and looked toward Ales in the distance. The black lightning behind him merged into his tentacles, dyeing his countless black pupils with a layer of distorted, twisting ripples. As his aberrant power lessened, the eye pattern on his brow flickered in and out of sight, just like Ales’s.

”Oh?” Ales tilted his head, sizing him up. ”Calamity Origin... If I devour you, my power will grow even stronger!”

”Is that so?”

Wei’en took a step forward and instantly appeared before him. His eight black pupils stared at Ales’s face, which was gradually regaining its youth. ”Then let’s see you try...”

”Mens, Di.”

As four phantom clones reappeared, Wei’en instantly materialized behind Ales, his tentacles thrusting forward along with the black lightning gathered in his hands.

”The same ability? Useless!”

A bizarre smile spread across Ales’s face. His figure turned into a phantom and slowly vanished, his entire body transforming into a black sword that streaked through the air.

”Mens, Di.”

Wei’en’s expression changed slightly. Without hesitation, he flickered away again.

But just as he appeared on the other side, Ales was already there. The eye pattern on his brow flared brightly. ”Calamity Descends!”

Malevolent Calamity Power descended, freezing the space all around Wei’en.

Immediately after, countless black bolts of lightning, wrapped in waves of distorting ripples, twisted the space. The terrifying power squeezed in on Wei’en, threatening to crush him completely.

’He’s so fast!’

Wei’en noticed the surrounding power, his thoughts racing. Talent: Spirit Conversion—Spirit Level converted to Resilience Level!

He threw a punch!

CRACK, CRACK, K-KRAK!

Black lightning enveloped Wei’en’s fist, shattering the surrounding space with a series of cracks, like breaking glass.

”Huh?”

Ales was stunned. ’Even this level of power can be broken?!’

Before he could react, Wei’en, with a Resilience Level of nearly fifty thousand, became like a humanoid beast. His terrifying speed turned his body into a black dot as his fists rained down on Ales relentlessly.

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM...

”WAAAGH—”

’How is this possible?’

’How could this be!’

’How did his power suddenly become so strong?!’

”You... are dead—Ales!” Wei’en roared, as countless black lightning bolts converged on his body, making his aura even more terrifying.

”No, impossible! I am the true Child of Calamity! Your power can’t possibly surpass mine!”

For the first time, a trace of panic appeared on Ales’s tyrannical face. His body once again transformed into a black sword and shot away, struggling to block Wei’en’s attacks.

The two black figures, both possessing the same Calamity Power, fought in a tangled dance like two colliding meteors.

CLANG, CLANG, CLANG...

For a time, the crisp, loud clang of metal on metal echoed throughout the sky above the Cathedral.

The surrounding space shattered and the earth trembled. Fierce winds howled. The overcast sky turned a deep, heavy black as countless bolts of lightning descended, turning the center of the Caster City State into a hellish landscape.

Only Krimms Cathedral, deliberately spared by the two fighters, remained intact.

At that moment, the black sphere surrounding Kali and the clown dissipated, and the two stared at the fierce battle in the sky.

”Wei’en...”

The clown’s face twisted, his eyes growing more crazed, as if recalling some unbearable memory from his past. ”Damn it, you crazy woman...”

Behind them, all the Dawn Saints were also retreating. They looked sorrowfully at the Cathedral. No matter the outcome of this battle, they knew they could never return to the church they had lived in for so many years...

Meanwhile, Old Jack and Nifa had long since fled the plaza in front of the Cathedral. In their haste, they didn’t even have time to retrieve the revival coffin.

The two stood above the Natali District, watching the sky over the Cathedral with complicated expressions.

”That person... his name is Wei’en, right?”

”Yes.” Nifa sighed. ”He is Tina’s Contractor. I never expected him to appear at a time like this... Why don’t you go help Ales?”

Old Jack gave a bitter smile. ”Would it do any good? Even Ales is being suppressed by him. If I went over, I’d just be throwing my life away. But how did his power become so strong?”

”Perhaps it is the guidance of fate,” Nifa said, shaking his head. ”It does not want Ales to step into the Abyss of Despair...”

Farther away, several hundred surviving Investigators gazed at the two combatants from a distance, their expressions even more complex.

”Wei’en?!”

”Wei’en...”

”Wei’en!”

Lisi looked toward the Cathedral. She saw the heavily injured Tina, saw Wei’en’s explosive power, saw his fierce battle with Ales, and her tears finally began to flow uncontrollably.

”Wei’en—”

”Wei’en’s strength... it’s monstrous, and plain for all to see.”

Marco watched the two fight, a hint of envy flashing in his eyes. ’If I had that kind of power, would the Nascimento Clan still have sided with Ernst?’

His terrifying power surged once more. An immense hunger twisted Wei’en’s face into a dreadful snarl. His black pupils locked onto the wretchedly dodging Ales as he lunged forward again.
