How Could the Villainous Young Master Be a Saintess?

The next morning, unlike before, Mirexia was not awakened by her biological clock.

She woke up a bit late today, though she felt refreshed after a good night’s sleep.

Her previously muddled mind was now clear and comfortable, as if it had been completely renewed.

With this state, she felt that her work efficiency would increase by at least fifty percent.

Clearly, this was due to the adequate rest and long hours of deep sleep she had last night, which made her somewhat nostalgic.

When was the last time she had such a peaceful sleep? She couldn’t remember.

Perhaps it was only during her carefree childhood that she had such good sleep quality.

Mirexia had always had sleep issues. Due to excessive mental stress, she suffered from a certain degree of insomnia. In severe cases, she couldn’t sleep all night, so she worked from the evening until the morning.

Thanks to the nourishment of the Saint’s Blood and the powerful Wrathful Golden Dragon Bloodline, Mirexia could stay up late without suffering much physical damage.

However, the accumulated mental stress would still worsen because she couldn’t sleep, and the fatigue wouldn’t be eliminated just because she had the Dragon Bloodline. After all, sleep is the best way to relieve stress.

Thus, she fell into a vicious cycle: the greater the stress, the worse her sleep; the worse her sleep, the greater the stress.

The palace doctors once suggested that Mirexia take some alchemical potions to improve her sleep, but the Wrathful Golden Dragon Bloodline in her body made it difficult for these potions to take effect.

Therefore, Mirexia’s sleep issues had always been a significant problem. She had long been accustomed to pushing through fatigue to focus on her work.

It was also because of this that she had long forgotten how comfortable it was to sleep well, especially in this situation where she had been thirsty for a long time and finally got some relief.

How cheerful her mood would be, how clear her mind and thoughts would be.

This sense of clarity made Mirexia somewhat addicted.

This was the feedback that should come after adequate rest.

In the past, she thought sleep was a waste of time, but after receiving the feedback of adequate rest, she felt that rest was also necessary.

With this mental state, she would be more efficient when focusing on work.

In addition, she felt light all over, as if the heavy weight pressing on her had disappeared overnight.

Was this the feeling of stress being released? It felt like she could move freely, with every finger under her control.

Walking to the dressing table, she quickly got dressed and tied her ponytail. With Mirexia’s stunning beauty, she didn’t need makeup to look good.

Applying makeup would only add a bit of vulgarity to her extraordinary appearance.

As soon as she stepped out of her room, Mirexia smelled a delicious aroma in the air.

“Good morning, Mirexia. You look well-rested. Did you sleep well last night?” Then, Mirexia saw a graceful pink-haired girl tying her apron and holding a bundle of utensils wrapped in cloth, placing them on the dining table one by one.

“It’s a good time for you to wake up. I just finished making breakfast. You must be hungry, right? Sit down and try it. Let me know if it’s good,” said Vanessa, pulling up a chair for Mirexia with great care.

“You woke up to make breakfast? Do you know how to cook?” Mirexia was somewhat surprised. In her impression, Vanessa had never been involved in cooking.

“Well, I know a little bit,” Vanessa smiled, her demeanor exuding a sense of grace and virtue. “As for the taste, if it’s a bit off, please forgive me.”

Mirexia turned her gaze to the sumptuous breakfast on the table.

There was milk, fried eggs, toasted bread, and pepper corn soup.

“Did you make all this?” Mirexia couldn’t believe it. In her image, Vanessa couldn’t cook, but seeing the girl so confident in front of her, she felt a bit enlightened.

This girl always brought her incredible miracles, as if she herself was an incredible miracle. It didn’t seem too hard to understand.

“Yeah, I used your ingredients without asking. You won’t blame me, right?” Vanessa blinked beautifully.

“You can use anything in this house. It’s better than letting it go to waste.”

“Oh, Mirexia, are you saying I can treat your home as my own?” Vanessa sat down on the other side, resting her chin on her hands, smiling as she looked at Mirexia.

“Suit yourself,” Mirexia pretended to focus on her soup.

Regardless of the taste, the breakfast was at least well-prepared and looked good.

The appearance was so appealing that the taste couldn’t be bad.

Taking a sip of the corn soup, it was rich and sweet, stimulating her taste buds. Even before tasting it, the strong aroma of corn filled her nose.

It was delicious, very delicious — better than the corn soup she had in many high-end restaurants.

This was Mirexia’s thought.

She hadn’t had high expectations for Vanessa’s breakfast, as it was the first time she had seen her cook. With little experience, there were bound to be shortcomings.

But it turned out to be so perfect, just like Vanessa’s usual demeanor — elegant and flawless.

“How is it? Does it suit your taste?” Vanessa rested her chin on her folded hands, smiling as she asked.

“Yeah, it’s delicious. It’s hard to believe this is your first time cooking,” Mirexia said.

“Since when did Mirexia become so flattering? It really is my first time cooking,” Vanessa nodded. “As long as it tastes good, I was afraid the first time would be a bit rough and you wouldn’t like it.”

“It’s fine, it’s great.”

“As long as you like it, I can make it for you every day,” Vanessa smiled with her hand covering her mouth.

‘Virtue + 30.’

‘Current Virtue: 12,894.’

“Every day...” Mirexia fell silent for a moment. “You and I have a lot to do every day, and we don’t live together. It would be troublesome.”

“Eh? So Mirexia is suggesting I move in with you?” Vanessa tilted her head in jest. “If it’s Mirexia’s request, it’s not impossible~?”

‘Virtue + 50.’

‘Current Virtue: 12,944.’

“...That’s not appropriate. The academy rules say students should stay in their dorms unless there’s a special reason. It doesn’t comply with the rules,” Mirexia lowered her voice slightly.

Hearing this, Vanessa’s eyes flashed with a strange light.

She had only meant to make a joke and earn some Virtue.

But why did Mirexia seem to take it seriously, as if she had actually thought about it?

It seemed as if Mirexia had really considered it.

“However, Mirexia, you’re right about one thing. This is my first time cooking. Do you know what that means?” Vanessa elegantly picked up her spoon and took small sips of the soup.

“What?” Mirexia was puzzled.

Vanessa’s lips curled slightly.

Mirexia’s potential to generate Virtue seemed endless, as if it could never be exhausted.

Vanessa naturally didn’t want to miss this opportunity, so she kept making jokes in her words.

“Don’t you understand? It means you’ve tasted my first time~?”

“........!?” Mirexia remained silent for a long time before she realized the strangeness in the sentence.

Her face immediately flushed with embarrassment, and she nearly choked on her soup. “What are you saying now?”

‘Virtue + 80.’

‘Current Virtue: 13,024.’

“Eh? Isn’t that right?” Vanessa tilted her head. “I just used a simpler way to describe it. What were you thinking, Mirexia?”

“...” Mirexia pursed her lips as she looked at the pink-haired girl sitting across from her and smiling. She felt like she had no way to deal with her.

It was as if everything about her was fully grasped by the girl.

Having one’s nature and secrets fully controlled by someone else is quite tricky for a future queen — but when that someone was Vanessa, Mirexia didn’t feel troubled.

Instead, she felt a bit happy.

To fully control someone else, one must have a deep understanding of their personality and preferences.

Vanessa’s ability to do this meant she paid great attention to her. She held an important place in Vanessa’s heart, so she understood her very well.

In this world, people often come for profit, and people often go for profit.

Others wanted to understand her almost always for profit or to gain benefits more conveniently.

Only Vanessa had Mirexia’s full trust. In this world, if there was anyone Mirexia could absolutely trust, besides her father, it was her childhood friend, the girl in front of her.

From affection to character, Mirexia had absolute confidence in Vanessa. In her eyes, her childhood friend was the uncrowned Saintess, only differing from the previous generations in this aspect.

After finishing breakfast, Vanessa got up to clear the table. After all, this was someone else’s home, and she had taken the initiative to make breakfast, so she naturally had to clean up.

Mirexia wanted to help, but Vanessa stopped her.

“President, you have a lot to handle. Don’t waste your time. Go to the Student Council quickly,” Vanessa even jokingly called Mirexia ‘President.’

“We finished last night’s work, but there’s still a pile of official business waiting for you today. The Student Council can’t function without its President. Go and focus on your work. Don’t waste time anymore,” Vanessa’s laughter was filled with grace and virtue, as if she were urging her husband to go to work and not waste time helping with the dishes—like a virtuous wife.

For some reason, Mirexia had such a sense of déjà vu.

She had rested well last night, so why was she still having such hallucinations?

‘Virtue + 30.’

‘Current Virtue: 13,054.’

“Later, when I leave, I’ll close the door. Oh, and don’t forget to take your keys when you go out.”

“Okay, got it,” Mirexia agreed deeply. But just as she was about to leave, she was suddenly called back by Vanessa.

“Wait a minute,” Vanessa led the puzzled Mirexia to the full-length mirror by the door.

“Mirexia, your ponytail is a bit crooked,” Vanessa said, her nimble fingers quickly redoing Mirexia’s ponytail.

“There, that looks better,” Vanessa nodded in satisfaction after tying Mirexia’s hair.

“How does it look?”

“...Yeah,” Mirexia’s ears turned red as she slightly nodded, as if admitting it.

“All right, busy President, off to work now,” Vanessa stood on tiptoe to straighten Mirexia’s student uniform tie, then smiled and brushed off the golden hair that had fallen on Mirexia’s shoulders.

‘Virtue + 50.’

‘Current Virtue: 13,104.’

“Then I’ll be off,” Mirexia squatted down to change her shoes, hiding her expression.

“Okay,” Vanessa stood at the entrance, mimicking the way a wife bids farewell to her husband going to work, waving at Mirexia. “Have a safe trip, come back soon, dear~”

“........”

‘Virtue + 50.’

‘Current Virtue: 13,154.’

The girl with the dazzling golden ponytail walked out the door, couldn’t help but look back at her home, then her eyes flashed with a hint of sadness.

However, tonight Vanessa wouldn’t be waiting for her at her home. After cleaning up and changing back, she would return to her own dormitory.

So, what was she disappointed about? Wasn’t that supposed to happen?

These days had been too much trouble for Vanessa, and she was lucky that her appearance hadn’t scared her.

Mirexia pushed aside these miscellaneous thoughts and headed toward the Student Council building.

Meanwhile, Vanessa’s thoughts were surprisingly similar to Mirexia’s.

“These days have been really hard on Mirexia,” Vanessa said as she washed and put away the dishes, sitting on the sofa and enjoying a cup of tea, looking at her current Virtue balance with pleasure.

It had reached a terrifying 13,154.

Most of this could be attributed to Mirexia’s contributions, which made Vanessa marvel.

Mirexia was indeed very capable of generating Virtue. In terms of contribution charts, dozens of Aesphyra tied together couldn’t compare to her adorable childhood friend.

Well, it couldn’t be helped. She was just trying to help Mirexia. Earning Virtue was just a side benefit.

All right, earning money without spending it is like earning nothing. She had earned so much Virtue for the sake of becoming stronger.

She would spend all this Virtue once she returned home. She was eager to learn new spells and gain greater improvements.

By the afternoon, Vanessa took a deep breath.

All right, Vanessa’s time was up.

She clasped her hands together, the cherry-colored wings and light fading away, and the blue-haired young man reappeared.

“Ah, it’s getting late. Good thing it’s been a few days since the holiday... Oh no, come to think of it, I don’t think I told Shikondell about staying here overnight?” Vinny slapped his forehead, and his face changed.

Last time, just smelling the unfamiliar hair and body scent in the bathroom caused her to be mentally exhausted for days. This time, staying out all night—wouldn’t the little Moon Elf girl be so depressed that she’d break the sky?

Thinking about it, Vinny felt a bit of a headache.

Wait, why did this feel like he was a scumbag who sneaked off to another woman’s house while married?

This, this isn’t right, is it?

Oh, no, no, Shikondell is my roommate, and Mirexia is my childhood friend and close friend. This kind of thought doesn’t make sense at all, does it?
