Supreme Spouse System.

Chapter 754: The Queen They Chose

The Queen They Chose

Her voice came calm. Measured. Almost too composed.

”You think this position is about systems?”

Rias didn’t answer.

Didn’t even blink.

Her silence was answer enough.

Cynthia followed, stepping just half a pace ahead, her presence quiet but undeniable.

”It’s not.”

Rias glanced at her this time.

Cynthia’s gaze didn’t waver.

”It’s about presence.”

There was no force in her tone. No push. Just certainty.

Sona moved next, gentle as always, her expression softer—but no less firm.

”It’s about balance,” she said, her voice carrying a quiet warmth.

Rias swallowed faintly.

Balance.

The word lingered.

Lira’s voice came last—smooth, almost like a whisper that still managed to reach everyone.

”It’s about influence.”

That word hit differently.

Rias’s eyes shifted—just slightly.

Influence.

Not control.

Not power.

Something... deeper.

One by one—

They closed the distance.

Not surrounding her.

Not cornering her.

But standing with her.

Close enough that she could feel it.

That she wasn’t alone in this.

Behind them, Fey leaned casually against a pillar, arms loosely crossed—but her eyes were sharp, far more attentive than her posture suggested.

She let out a quiet breath through her nose.

”So that’s what’s happening...” she muttered, half to herself.

Rui, standing nearby, leaned in slightly. ”You sound surprised.”

”I’m not,” Fey replied, eyes still on Rias. ”Just... watching how she handles it.”

Lena crossed her arms. ”She’s hesitating.”

”Of course she is,” Fey said without missing a beat. ”Anyone with a brain would.”

Mona scoffed softly. ”You saying she might refuse?”

Fey’s lips curved faintly. ”No... I’m saying this is the moment she either becomes who they see... or proves she’s not ready.”

Fey’s lips curved faintly. ”No... I’m saying this is the moment she either becomes who they see... or proves she’s not ready.

Mira glanced back toward Rias, quieter now. ”And what do you think?”

Fey didn’t answer immediately.

For a second, her expression softened—just a fraction.

”...I think she’s scared,” she said finally. ”Which is exactly why she might be the right one.”

Ronan stepped forward.

The shift was subtle—but it carried weight.

His presence alone changed the air.

His voice, when it came, was deeper. Firm. Grounded.

”My Queen.”

That word alone made Rias stiffen slightly.

Not visibly to most.

But enough.

Her shoulders tensed.

Her breath paused for half a second.

That title—

It wasn’t just a word.

It was expectation.

Responsibility.

A role she hadn’t fully accepted.

”That position...”

He didn’t rush the sentence.

Didn’t soften it either.

”...was never meant for someone ordinary.”

His eyes held hers.

No pressure.

No force.

Just truth.

”It was meant for the one closest to the king.”

The words settled into the silence.

Not heavy.

But undeniable.

Rias’s gaze flickered—just for a moment.

Not away from him.

But inward.

Like something inside her had shifted... even if she didn’t fully understand it yet.

Chloe watched quietly beside him.

Small hands clasped together.

Eyes bright.

There was no doubt in them.

No hesitation.

Only pride.

Like she had already made her decision long before this moment arrived.

She stood just half a step behind Leon, her fingers laced tightly as if holding onto something invisible—something important. Her gaze never left Rias. Not once. It wasn’t the wide-eyed curiosity of a child anymore. It was steadier. Warmer. Certain.

Like she was watching someone she had already chosen to believe in.

A faint smile touched her lips, soft and quiet, but unshakable.

Commander Black dropped to one knee again.

The movement was sharp.

Unquestionable.

”My Queen.”

His voice carried absolute certainty.

”This position... belongs to you.”

Johny followed instantly.

Kneeling beside him.

”We recognize no one else for it.”

The impact hit harder than any argument.

The sound of armor striking the ground echoed heavier this time. Not just because of the motion—but because of what it meant. There was no hesitation in either of them. No glance exchanged. No silent questioning.

They had already decided.

Commander Black’s head lowered, not in submission—but in respect that carried weight. The kind earned, not given lightly.

Johny let out a slow breath as he settled beside him, his voice steady but edged with something real—something personal.

”We’ve followed strength before,” he said, lifting his gaze slightly toward Rias, ”but this... this feels different.”

Black added, quieter now but firmer,

”It’s not just power. It’s you.”

No theatrics. No grand declaration.

Just truth.

And somehow, that made it heavier.

Rias looked around.

Slowly.

At every face.

No hesitation.

No doubt.

No resistance.

Just—

Acceptance.

Trust.

Expectation.

Her eyes moved from one person to the next, searching—not for approval, but for cracks. For uncertainty. For even a flicker of doubt she could hold onto.

But there was none.

Syra met her gaze with a lazy, confident grin, arms folded like she’d been waiting for this outcome all along.

Kyra stood composed, posture straight, eyes sharp—but calm. Grounded. Like she had already calculated every possible outcome and still arrived here.

Mia’s hands were clasped near her chest, nervous energy still there—but her eyes... her eyes didn’t waver.

Cassidy gave a small nod. Simple. Certain.

Even the others—Nova, Lira, Sona—watched quietly, their silence not empty, but filled with quiet agreement.

No one looked surprised.

That was the part that unsettled her the most.

Her fingers curled slightly.

”...You all make it sound easy.”

There was a faint strain in her voice now. Not fear—but pressure. The kind that pressed inward, not outward.

Syra smirked faintly, tilting her head.

”It’s not.”

Kyra added calmly—

”But you won’t be alone.”

Mia stepped closer.

”We’re here.”

Cassidy nodded.

”We all are.”

Syra let out a small breath through her nose, uncrossing her arms.

”You think any of us would let you crash and burn alone?” she said, half teasing—but her eyes were serious.

Kyra’s voice followed, quieter but precise.

”You don’t need to carry everything. Just the parts that matter most.”

Mia hesitated for a second before reaching out—her fingers brushing lightly against Rias’s sleeve.

”...We trust you,” she said, softer now.
