Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

Chapter 818: 818:Gu Cheng Decided To Stay

The Emperors are asking me about Gu Cheng. What should I say?”

Henna thought for a moment before speaking, ”We can’t hide it for long. Though it’s safe for now, if something dangerous happens, we need the strength of the entire world to resist.”

”This...” Ethan hesitated before speaking.

Henna saw through Ethan and smiled faintly. ”You don’t need to worry about that. Though the Church of Light does not involve itself in secular matters, invading another world is entirely a different thing. We will act immediately.”

Henna saw through Ethan and smiled faintly. ”You don’t need to worry about that. Though the Church of Light does not involve itself in secular matters, invading another world is entirely a different thing. We will act immediately.”

”Invading another realm won’t be as simple as you seem and may even lead to a battle between Gods.”

Ethan thought for a moment before speaking, ”Then Saintess, why don’t you please talk on my behalf? I would be relieved if you talk to Her Majesty.”

There was something more Ethan wanted to say, like a lady understands another lady much better, but he kept quiet.

Henna looked at him for a moment and seemed to understand what he was trying to say. She gave a small nod.

”Okay...”

The next moment, Henna and Ethan appeared before Ophelia through the communication crystal.

Ophelia’s brows furrowed when she saw Henna standing beside Ethan.

”Saintess?”

Her eyes moved between the two of them before she spoke again.

”You are there too.”

Saintess Henna looked at Queen Ophelia through the communication crystal and gave a slight nod.

”Greetings, Your Majesty.”

”Greetings, Saintess Henna,” Ophelia replied as she returned the greeting with a polite expression. Her eyes briefly moved toward Ethan before returning to Henna. ”It seems you are with Ethan.”

”Yes. We are currently in Frostvele.”

Ophelia’s expression became slightly serious. ”Then I assume you know about the unidentified person we were talking about.”

Henna nodded.

”I do. His name is Gu Cheng and he is not from our world.”

Ophelia’s eyes narrowed slightly when she heard that.

”Not from our world?”

”That’s right. He came from another realm because of a disturbance in the void. His soul was later captured by the Devine Family and he was turned into a puppet. Ethan managed to free him during the battle.”

Henna briefly glanced toward Gu Cheng before continuing.

”His purpose is simple. He wants to return to his own world. He has no intention of causing trouble here and I will personally take responsibility for this matter.”

Ophelia remained silent for a moment as she carefully listened.

”The Church will take over this matter. We will investigate the situation and make sure Gu Cheng does not cause any trouble. There is no need for the Empire to interfere.”

Ophelia’s expression remained thoughtful.

”Can you guarantee that?”

”I can,” Henna replied firmly. ”If anything happens, the Church will deal with it.”

Ophelia slowly nodded. She seemed to consider something before speaking again.

”In that case, I will trust the Church.”

Henna gave another slight nod.

”Thank you, Your Majesty. There is also another matter. I will call for a joint meeting with the Church and the Emperors. I need to inform everyone about what we found here.”

”What exactly did you find?”

Henna glanced toward the turbulent space deeper inside the mountain.

”We found a weak point in the void that seems to be connected to Gu Cheng’s world. There is also a spiritual vein here. This place cannot simply be left alone.”

Ophelia’s expression became serious.

”I understand. Then inform us during the joint meeting.”

Henna nodded.

”We will. This place should also be guarded from now on. We can’t allow anyone to enter here without knowing what they might do to the void.”

Before Ophelia could say anything else, Ethan suddenly stepped forward.

”Your Majesty, what will you be doing with the three family heads?”

Ophelia looked toward Ethan before sighing softly.

”They will be executed soon.”

Ethan’s expression changed slightly.

”Executed?”

”I wanted to torture them and find out more about the things they might have hidden. There are still many things we don’t know about the four families. However, the other Emperors did not agree.”

She paused for a moment and her brows furrowed.

”They believe keeping them alive for too long will only create more problems. So the decision has already been made.”

Ethan nodded slowly.

”I see.” 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

”As for you, quickly finish taking over the families as fast as possible so that integration can begin,” Ophelia continued. ”The sooner we finish this, the sooner we can stabilize the Capital and deal with the remaining problems.”

”Understood, Your Majesty.”

Ophelia gave a small nod before the communication crystal slowly dimmed.

The connection was cut off.

Ethan lowered the crystal and let out a quiet breath. He had managed to avoid revealing too much about Gu Cheng, but the situation was still more troublesome than he had expected.

Henna turned toward the turbulent space again.

”This place can’t be left alone. It should be guarded. Until we understand why this void is connected to another world, nobody should be allowed to approach it carelessly.”

She then looked toward Gu Cheng.

”Gu Cheng, what should you do now?”

Gu Cheng remained silent for a moment as he looked at the turbulent void. His expression was complicated, but he eventually shook his head.

”I don’t know yet.”

Ethan looked at him and spoke after thinking for a moment.

”You can accompany me to Blanks.”

Gu Cheng turned toward Ethan.

”Blanks?”

”Yes. You can stay there for a while. We can also think about what to do with this place and how to return you to your world.”

Gu Cheng thought for a moment before a faint smile appeared on his face.

”Alright.”

He nodded.

”Also, since I am already here, I want to roam this new world a bit.”

Ethan looked at him and nodded.

”Then let’s go.”

Gu Cheng glanced at the strange underground mine one last time before turning around.

For now, there was nothing more they could do about the turbulent void.

They needed time to understand this place before making any decision that could affect two worlds.
