Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

Chapter 740: 740:Stab In The Back

Alaster struggled violently against the golden chains wrapped around his arms, chest, and legs. His blood-red aura repeatedly exploded from his body while the chains shook under his terrifying strength. Every movement caused the glowing symbols covering them to flicker, but the chains continued tightening around him and pulled his arms farther apart.

Emperor Caelus tightened his grip and shouted after seeing Alaster’s desperate struggle.

”Stop struggling, Alaster.”

”These are the chains that can bind an Ascension Realm expert. Today will be your end.”

”Shut up!”

Alaster roared.

BOOM!

His blood-red aura exploded again, and several chains were violently pushed outward. The ground beneath his feet shattered while his muscles tightened as he tried to tear the restraints apart with brute force.

Before he could gather enough strength, Emperor Aldric and Queen Ophelia attacked together.

A heavy amount of light and snow descended from above.

BOOOOM!

The attacks slammed directly into Alaster.

Blinding light mixed with freezing snow and completely drowned his figure. The overwhelming pressure forced his body downward while thick ice spread across the broken ground beneath his feet. Alaster gritted his teeth as the attacks continued pressing against his protective aura.

He slowly turned his head and looked toward the Emperors with hatred.

”If I had managed to get through the baptism, I wouldn’t have been this miserable...”

The words came through his clenched teeth.

He had been so close.

Only a little more time and everything would have been different.

The thought immediately reminded him of the person responsible for destroying everything.

Ethan..

Alaster’s face twisted with rage.

”It’s all your fault, you traitor bastard...”

The anger in his heart burned even hotter.

If Ethan had not betrayed Arcadia, things would never have reached this point. His baptism would not have been interrupted and he would not have been surrounded by these people while being restrained like a prisoner.

”Once I get out of here... I’m gonna kill you, Ethaaa...”

His roar suddenly stopped in the middle.

Something had pierced through his aura barrier.

Alaster’s eyes widened.

Before his mind could even understand what had happened, a furious scream exploded directly behind him.

BOOOOM!

A sword pierced into Alaster’s back.

”FUCKKKKKK YOUUU, ALASTER!”

The blade tore through his already unstable aura barrier and sank deep into his body. A violent wave of power immediately followed the first strike and exploded through the wound.

PFFTT!

Blood burst from Alaster’s mouth.

His eyes widened in horror.

’How?’

He had not sensed anyone behind him.

Not even for a moment.

Alaster forcefully turned his head and finally saw Ethan standing directly behind him.

Ethan’s entire body was covered in brilliant light, but something else was mixed within that power. The strange force twisted around the surface of Alaster’s protective aura and caused the energy to lose its natural flow. Wherever that power touched, his aura became disordered and started breaking down.

Alaster’s expression changed completely.

”What...”

Ethan did not give him time to understand.

SWISH!

Four swords of light appeared around Alaster at once.

They stabbed forward from different directions.

PFFT!

PFFT!

PFFT!

PFFT!

The four blades pierced through the weakened aura barrier and buried themselves into Alaster’s body.

A massive greatsword of light formed immediately afterward.

Ethan grabbed it with both hands and swung with all his strength.

BOOOOM!

The greatsword slammed into Alaster and sent another violent wave of light through his body.

”ARGHHHH!”

Alaster coughed out a large mouthful of blood.

The golden chains around him rattled violently as his body was pushed forward.

He slowly turned his blood-covered face toward Ethan.

The hatred in his eyes was frightening.

Ethan’s expression immediately changed when he met that gaze.

”Ahhh, no!”

His instincts screamed at him.

Ethan immediately released his sword and ran.

”Fuckkkkkk!”

He shot backward without hesitation.

Alaster’s expression became even more twisted.

”Where are you running... Traitor...”

Ethan’s face darkened.

He turned his head while continuing to retreat and shouted angrily.

”What traitor, you heinous bastard? I always acted for the best of the Empire, but you fucked me over and over. Always putting me down with your petty schemes.”

Alaster froze for a moment. Those words only made the anger burning inside him grow stronger.

His mind became dizzy from the rage.

”ETHAAAAAN!”

BOOOOM!

Something suddenly changed inside Alaster.

His aura skyrocketed.

The blood-red energy around his body erupted upward like a massive pillar and shook the entire battlefield. The golden chains wrapped around him stretched violently while cracks appeared across several of their glowing symbols.

Everyone’s expressions changed.

”What the hell?!”

Ethan screamed and immediately looked back at Alaster.

The man’s power was increasing rapidly.

However, something was wrong. The aura did not feel controlled.

It violently rose and fell while different waves of energy crashed against one another inside Alaster’s body. Blood-red light repeatedly flashed beneath his skin while his veins bulged across his face and neck.

Ethan narrowed his eyes.

Either Alaster was burning his lifespan to forcefully increase his strength, or he was refining the remaining energy from the previous baptism.

Whatever method he was using, the power was highly unstable.

Ethan immediately understood what needed to be done.

”Everyone, kill him now!”

His voice rang across the battlefield.

”Even if he is getting stronger, his aura is unstable. He will fall!”

The four Emperors immediately reacted.

”Yes!”

Emperor Ezekiel charged first.

BOOM!

His greatsword collided with Alaster’s fist.

The violent impact shook the surrounding ground and sent cracks spreading beneath their feet. Ezekiel gritted his teeth and pushed forward with all his strength, but Alaster suddenly twisted his arm and knocked the greatsword aside. His other fist immediately shot toward Ezekiel’s chest.

SWISH!

Ezekiel moved his body at the last moment.

The fist passed beside him, but the force behind it still tore through his protective aura and sent him sliding backward.

Alaster was about to chase after him when several golden chains suddenly wrapped around his arms.

”Don’t even think about it!”

Emperor Caelus pulled both hands backward.

The golden chains tightened around Alaster’s body while several more shot from the ground and wrapped around his legs. Alaster’s movements stopped for a brief moment, but his blood-red aura immediately erupted.

BANG!

Two chains shattered.

However, Emperor Aldric had already appeared above him.His weapon came down with terrifying force.

BOOOOM!
